Just published my LD34 entry!

Hi!

Since LD34, I worked hard on my entry Swarmonian Explorer (http://ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-34/?action=preview&uid=55223).

Now the game reached Alpha 1.0 and was released as Alpha 1.0 on itch.io for $3.90.

At the same time, I started a Steam greenlight campain, it would be lovely if you would check out the game!

Third Ludum Dare (sadly not all on the trot), but here’s to hoping that the third time’s the charm!

Aiming for the Compo, but I know me…

After having written everything from the ground up for the last two, I’m probably going to take a stab at using GameMaker to create a thing. So hopefully things won’t go too wrong this time <.< >.>

I’m in.

Engine: YoYo GameMaker

Image Editor: Paint.net

Audio: Audacity.

1st Time here so lets give this a shot.

I’m in

HaxeDevelop + Haxe + optionally Flambe, Ash and other frameworks.

Ready to go, good luck everybody!

I’m game (I’m so funny XD)

This will be my first jam, I’m fresh out of college and eager to dive head first into the beast that is game dev.

I was wondering if you had to go somewhere specific to participate, or can you just do it from home or whatever?

You don’t need to go anywhere specific, all you need is a free weekend. Once the theme has been released you have 48h to create you game (for compo, you have 72h for the jam). Once you’ve finished your game you need to compile it and upload it somewhere for download/web play once you’ve done that you can submit it for play on the page for the compo/jam with details of the game (title and desc etc), once that is done, users will vote for your game, you get the results once voting is done, if you need anymore help, hit me up, I’ll be somewhat active over the next week as not long till the theme is released! 😀 Happy developing!

I really like the idea of LD! I’ll be trying to get some help because I personally suck in a) design and b) anything visual or audio :) But I love coding, and I love game design.. Let’s see which of my friends wants to work with me and what we will be using and creating :) Would prefore Javascript, might be frontend as well as backend for me.. We shall see what we come up with :)

My first Ludum Dare.

I’ll be using java + slick2d for coding, LMMS for audio and paint.net for graphics.

Anyone want to team up?

I tend to use Unity3D and would like to team up with someone for the LDJam

C++ isnt that good for speed game development and it has no web compatibility. I suggest you use Java and maybe LWJGL and other good libraries. Its just easy and fast for game development and it can run on web browsers too .

gonna be my first time trying this but i hope i can make something cool.

ill be using unity 2d, gimp, and fl studio for mostly everything

I’m in.

It’s a bank holiday weekend over here so I’m in.

The only thing I’m certain I’ll be using is Unity3d.

Depending on the theme and the style I go with I’ll be using the following:

  • Affinity Designer
  • Blender 3D
  • Kenny Studio NXT
  • FL Studio
  • And maybe some custom built stuff.

Hopefully this time around I’ll be able to make a viable game 😀
