LD36 August 26–29, 2016

I’m in!

This’ll be my second Ludum Dare, so I hope I can improve on my first game. I’ll be using:

Programming language: Java
IDE: Eclipse
Libraries: Probably just Slick2D (uses LWJGL)
Artwork and related: Paint.net, maybe GIMP
Sound: Audacity, sfxr (life saver!), MilkyTracker
Misc: JarSplice to package up an executable jar, I’ll probably also use ChronoLapse to make a timelapse

Hopefully no RL stuff will get in the way. I think using Slick2D will really speed up development (I used no libraries last time D: )

I’m in!

This is my third Ludum Dare (technically fourth, but I wasn’t around to finish my LD 35 game) and I’m really excited to participate again! Best of luck to everyone else!

Game Development Tools:

I’m in! (First Ludum Dare)

I’ll be using:

Eclipse

Probably Paint.net or GIMP

Sound and music is still up in the air! I’m sure I’ll figure something out with Fruity Loops (Trial…), Audacity, sfxr (haven’t downloaded it yet…), Garage Band, and or something new.

I’m excited for my first try! I’ll be on my own.

Guess who is in?

MEEEEEEEEE! And my friend for graphics maybe. This will be my 5th Ludum Dare. Good luck everybody!

Mant is my name, Unity is my game (engine).

I’m in!

I am looking forward to participating in Ludum Dare 36!

I plan on creating a web-based HTML5 game with Phaser.

  • Language: JavaScript
  • Libraries: Phaser
  • Music: Open Game Art
  • Art: Open Game Art and I may create custom art using Graphics Gale
  • Editor: Visual Studio Code

I’m In for Ludum Dare #36

Im in. I will be using Unity most likely so heres hoping that all this works and I have a at least half decent game at the end of this.

My first jam

  1. Hey everyone, I am in! Am using game maker probably, and likely enough, ms paint lol. It is my first LD and I am very excited to take part!

I’m in!

First LD for me, so, greetings from Hungary I guess. :)

I’ll probably do it alone unless my friend decides to join.

  • Game Engine: Unity
  • GFX: Gimp
  • /Music+SFX: FL Studio 12/

Looking for a team and I’m in!

Hello everyone! I would like to join this Ludum Dare, and it will be my first one. But i’m not a programmer, neither an artist. I am a beginner composer, since I never participated in any projects. I can write classical music, or any synthesized kind of themes and my forte is that I can convey the mood through the melody. I get inspired by space, cyberpunk, or story-telling games. If you are looking for someone to cooperate, i can take a part as a composer. I don’t like chiptune music and I don’t write that kind of stuff.
Thus, if you a team or just a talented programmer and you’re looking for a composer, I am here.

Hey! Is there any way we can communicate better? I would like to have you as a part of my team! If you need my email: yotam (dot) salmon (at) gmail (dot) com. Write me if you wish to work with us :)

I’m in!

Oh it’s been too long! My PhD thesis is finally out of the way and I have no more restrictions and obligations to take up the weekend! I’m currently (and have been) recovering from a stomach condition but here’s hoping that’s more cleared out of the way when the compo rolls around!

Stuff:

  • WebStorm – Code
  • Phaser – Framework
  • Bfxr – Sound
  • DAME – Map Editor (potentially, also on the lookout for newer, better tools that aren’t Tiled)
  • Sunvox – Music (if possible)

Of course, there’s a chance I’ll just ditch the Javascript and instead go for a Lua game using LÖVE, in which case I’ll be using ZeroBrane Studio as my IDE of choice.

It pretty much boils down to whether or not at the time I feel I can live with making builds for the three major OSes. It doesn’t help that there’s no real official way to get it working for Linux!

We’re IN! (Hopefully :p)

I hope I’ll be able to gather my team and take part in #LD36. However, I’m not sure if we will be able to gather together and participate.

As we don’t have anyone that knows powerful designing tools (PS, Blender) we are going to use the most simplistic tools (some python tools I made to work with handmade scanning, PowerPoint and MS Paint :p)

We are going to use Unity 5.3 for programming our game with Mono C# (Definately NOT UnityScript)

Modelling will be done using Sketchup (I hope) and if we really mess up with it, we would get models online and disqualify ourselves from that category (which I hope won’t happen)

Wish us luck!

Yotam, and my folks – Or, Or, Ron, and Talisman (Team Fireman)

In!

Happy to see that there is a LD36 after all! This is going to be fun as usual, can’t wait for the compo to come along.

Framework: HTML5/JS with my personal Magic library

Editor: Emacs

Graphics: Krita mostly, inkscape

Audio: Bfxr, Audacity

Glad to see a fellow html5/js game dev! Good luck!

I’m IN!

I’m closing on a new home this Friday and I cannot think of a better way to christen the thing than spending my second weekend hacking out a game :-). I just hope the internet is hooked up in time!

This will be my 7th Ludum Dare. While I am very much tempted to use Phaser.js again after creating a little game last week to announce the gender of our baby-to-be (http://superbigsister.azurewebsites.net/src/ ), I think I’ll stick with MonoGame.

Tools:

  • C#/.NET/MonoGame
  • Some version of my own toolkit/framework/engine hosted here: https://github.com/srakowski/coldsteel (as per the rules feel free to punish yourself by using it :))
  • Bosca Ceoil, LMMS, Audacity, SFXR/BFXR etc for Audio
  • Paint.net, GIMP, Paint, etc for Graphics

Despite no formal voting/score I am still quite excited about this. For me, it is always the challenge to yourself that is the best.

Good luck to everyone!

I’m in

This is my third LD. I am really happy I get to attend so historical event like this.

I like to set myself a genre before theme announcement. Last time I said I would do a grid puzzle game, and the theme worked kind of well with that.

This time I would love to make a real time strategy game. Or at least turn based. Let’s see what themes there will be and if it fits that genre at least remotely.

Tools:

  • Language: HTML5/JS
  • Editor: notepad++
  • Debugger: Chrome
  • Sounds: sfxr
  • Music (?): BoscaCeoil (I would love to compose some piano song perhaps)
  • Graphics: GIMP
  • Recording/video editing: Auto Screenshot Capture by daanav + Virtualdub + Windows movie maker (shameless)
  • Version control: Git + Github

I can’t wait for all that to start again. I will give it my best. I can’t wait for all the food, coding till the morning sun, browsing other entries, getting feedback. I am so glad Ludum Dare is happening again.

I’m in !

Already 3 Ludum Dare in a row, i’m ready for a 4th one !

I’m in!

Hey guys, Ryan here. I’m in!
