I’m in.
I’ll be using Unity 5 (C#/Visual Studio 2015), Maya LT 2016, Photoshop CS5, SFXR and FL Studio.
MAY THE BEST THEME WIN!
We are gonna be using the following tools:
Good lucky erryone!
Engine: Unity
Music: Bosca Ceoil
Graphics: I will try to do vector graphics in Inkscape or simple flat colored graphics in Krita.
If I fail I will just draw extremely low resolution pixel art.
Good luck to everyone!
I have absolutely no time to spend on LD this time around, but I’ll try to carve some time out.
Good luck to everyone!
This will be my fourth Ludum Dare. I will be participating in the compo.
Last time I made Squishy’s Escape.
I hope the theme will be good and I will be able to create a finished game before the end.
Tools this time:
engine: Phaser (javascript)
ide: cloud 9 ide
art: Photoshop
sound: bfxr probably
Good luck everyone!
I’m currently sitting in my broken down car waiting for a tow truck, but it’s not going to stop me from competing this time. Was hoping to do a bit of a warm up just before the competition, but given the weather I think I’m warming up a bit too much. Also I just reloaded dev tools on my replacement computer (that broke last week, replaced on warranty), so all in all I’m having some interesting luck. Here’s hoping everything else works for the next 52 hours.
Here are my, tools of the trade:
Programming: Visual Studio 2015, C#, Monogame, Notepad++.
Graphics: Paint.net mostly, but I have a lot of other tools lying around
Sound: Famitracker, Audacity, and an Ukulele.
Base Code: My custom engine, (the link also has a sample game to see it in context).
Today I have been busy cramming on android with libGDX..
toolbox also contains Blender 3D, gimp, energyxt2 + vsts for music and sfx.
Who knows what will happen?!
Excited to be here again, with hopefully less disasters than last time!
I’m going to be entering a Compo with my friend who runs Studio Hiro; He’s going to be taking on most of the textures and animations as well as helping with indepth bug testing and lore building. Got the whole weekend blocked off; let’s make something amazing happen!
Engine: Unity 5
Art: Gimp (Maybe photoshop if I can get my hands on it) and Blender
Sounds: Audacity/Free audio sources as needed
Looking to make some mixed media rogue-like adventures happen, lets hope the theme fits well :3 Happy building!
-Alexis
Yeah!
Let’s do this!
All pumped for LD #36!
This will be my 11th Ludum Dare! You can find my prior entries here.
What will my tools of the trade be? Probably the usual of Photoshop for 2D compositing/editing, Aseprite for 2D pixeling, and Blender for 3D.
Let me shill Aesprite for a moment. If you are not familiar with it, and you like to do pixel art, then I recommend checking it out!
Check it out:
We’re in.
We will be using:
And most importantly google and stackOverflow
I’m in for the Idon’tknowhowmanytimes ” st
Also, I want to share a unityPackage I quickly create to make a procedural map with a algorithm I made for Unity. This only works in Unity2D, but can be ported for 3D it needed.
http://ccglp.es/downloads/ProceduraLineMap.unitypackage
(Sorry, because I didn’t have the time to translate the variables to english and the script itself is in spanish :D)
Good luck for you all!
It’ll be a fun twist without rankings this time. I’m hoping that lets us be creative in ways we wouldn’t normally express!
Anyway, I’m doing the jam with my friends Luis and Jason this round. We’ll likely be using Unity3D.
Let’s see what we make! 🕹❤❤🎮🕹🎮❤
Hopefully I will be able to finish a thing.
Tools :
Have fun y’all !
I’ll be in again and I’ll be using my Java/Lua framework to make the game (link). I also might try out the Figure app for making music this time, although I’m not really sure whether you’re allowed to do everything with the music created within the app.
Anyway, good luck everyone!
Third time trying to finish a game, hopefully I get there this time.
My tools:
Good luck
First time participating!
I’ll be using Game Maker and Ableton.

I am using a personal FlashDevelop Flixel project template as base code.
Here is what the project template loooks like without modification:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/21575115/bliz_flixel_ld_template/index.html
Here is the download link for the project template, which includes a README.TXT:

Since last Ludum Dare (#34 for me) I’ve learnt Typescript and I’ll be trying to use it as much as possible, and maybe bringing in some box2djs if the theme is right. It’s a bank holiday weekend in England & Wales so I get extra time to play other entries! Hope the weekend works well for everyone!
In! Probably going to make an HTML5 game.
I’ll be doing it quite relaxed this time around, but this LD is an important landmark as I made my very first game two years ago for the LD30!
Looking forward to it
With 2 friends of mine !
We’ll use Unity3D, Blender, Photoshop.
Have fun !
I saw that everyone was doing this so I thought I’d show everyone my tools aswell,
Art: MS Paint and Photoshop
Engine: Unity
Sound: FL Studio and Audacity
Language: Js and C#
This is my first Ludum Dare and I hope I dont come in last but ive been programming for 5 years…
Wish me luck

Definitely in! Haven’t had the time to do an LD since 34, and even that one I was only able to dedicate a few hours to it unfortunately. This time though, I’ve cleared my schedule!
Engine: Unity
IDE: Visual Studio
Texturing/Sprites: Photoshop
3D Modelling: Blender/SketchUp
Audio: Audacity
This weekend I’m occupied, but I’ll do my best to publish something. I’ll probably use my engine
https://shivur.itch.io/shivur-engine
or buildbox depending on the theme.
Was really fun last time… so I’m back for more. 😀
I’ll be using:
May the fun be with you.
First LD. Planning to use Unity2D but we’ll see!
First LD for me. Hope I’ll finish something !
Second time here, hope to accomplish something to play. I will try to challenge myself more, hopefully get things done before the deadline
In LD35 I did this: Shape,LESS

Good luck to everyone!
Hello there!
I’m really excited , it’s my first ludum dare and I’ll be doing mainly all the art/design side with my programmer buddy @sudorossy! I really want to push my self with a lot of 3d/2d assets
I’ll be using:
Engine: Unity
Art: 3DS Max, Photoshop and Asesprite

I’m going to be using Phaser, a library that uses Pixi.js, which uses WebGL + Javascript. I’m probably going to use Piskell for the art and Audacity/SFXR for sounds.
My son (10) and I (still a boy) are going to participate using PICO-8 as our all-purpose development tool. So excited to see the voting result!
I MIGHT be finding myself use Pixly and Zero Brane to speed up development, but I guess we’ll mostly be working in PICO, probably even on a PocketChip.
Good luck, everybody!
Just broke my toe yesterday. With nothing to do, I might as well try my first ever game jam, right?
I’m using the free version of GameMaker. If I have a playable prototype of something fun by the end of the jam, I’ll be more than happy.
The classic words: I’m in!
I will be doing the 48 hour compo. Uploading game and source to MediaFire.
Tools:
heheheheh

This will be our second entry. Learned a lot the first go around. Now we have a spiffy new account and will be streaming! https://www.twitch.tv/messinabrothers
Engine: Unity
Team: Two programmers, 3D modeler, artist, audio engineer
WOO.
Just making a quick first post to say hi.
First LD, ready to begin!
Planning on using Java 8 and Paint.NET. I’m probably going to get free licenced sounds because I have no idea on how to make them.
Howdy folks !
First timer here. I’ve wanted to join for a long time.
My goal here is to finish a game.
I’ll be using :
-Unity/C# with Google : “Why does this thing never works ?” “Oh…Ok, my bad.”
-Photoshop, maybe Maya if I decide to go 3D (most likely not)
-SoundBox/BlockDust for sound. I’ve actually never created sounds for games, it will be fun to experiment (if I get this far :D)
Good luck and have fun everyone !
-Game Maker Studio: Pro
-Paint.net
-Bfxr
I missed the last two LDJAMs so I’m super excited about this one. This time I will probably be doing VR since I’ve been doing a lot with that lately, but I’m not sure until I see the topic and come up with an idea.
Good Luck everyone, and follow me on twitter (@joeld42) for updates.
Hey, it’s hinerz!
Last LD was back in December and I contributed a little bit to a team VN game which is still in development! (I’m no longer contributing).
This time, I’m going solo. Hoping to prototype some ideas I’ve been having lately.
It’ll be less gameplay-focused (Nooooo) and more of a technical proof of concept. Hopefully, I can apply the theme to the interaction, and I can build from there.
Excited to make something pretty and interesting. Look forward to seeing all of your projects!
I’m not sure what language or engine I will use to make my game yet but I will be using GIMP for the art assets and I may not have any SFX or music, depending on the time I have left.
2nd ludum dare, my body is ready. ¬u¬
I use…
-Blender Game Engine
-Visual Studio Code
-Paint.NET / PyxelEdit
-FlStudio
Good luck to all! :3
hopefully for good this time, using html and js for coding, notepad++ for editing code, paint.net for graphics (if needed) audacity for music (also if needed)
Probably will have other stuff to do as well but hopefully I will get enough time
Not sure how much time i have, but i give it my best. Gonna build something with Unity3D, VS Community and probably hit up some Blender and Gimp later on to create some assets. Haven’t been doing GameDev since a few years more or less so lets see if i can still do this 😀
It’s my birthday jam with my friends Skyane and Alex
Engine: Unity
Beer: Kölsch
Good Luck everyone.
Hey friends! I’m going to jump in this time and hopefully get something good out for everyone!
Going solo, and I don’t have a ton of “real” experience, but I find programming fun so I felt like I might as well!
Equipment:
Macbook
Laptop
iPad
GamePads
Drawing Tablet
Software and stuff:
Gamemaker Studio
Bosca Ceoil
Aseprite
Garage Band
Audacity
I’ll make sure to update this list if anything changes! Best of luck friends! 😀
edit: Font will probably be Manaspace by codeman38
Tools:
-Love2D!
-Sublime Text!!
-Tiled!!!
-Paint.NET!!!!
-FL Studio.
-bfxr!!!!!!
Good luck, everyone!
Let’s do this.
Using python + pygames to the engine and Aseprite to the graphics :DD
Hi,
I’m i.i
I have no idea what I’m doing.
I fumbled around in Unity for a lil’ bitso… I THINK I’M READY.
This time with my friends Phaix and Alex. Probably on twitch tomorrow (twitch.tv/skyane) / MEZ.
Have fun
Ended up missing it last year, so while the Saturday is cut in half due to unforeseen circumstances, will be doing my best in the remaining time!
Going to be my first gamejam ever, going to be using the following:
Framework: LÖVE
Graphics: Aseprite
Audio: bfxr
Best of luck to everyone, looking forward to seeing what comes out the other end!
I’ll be using PixiJS, Visual Studio Code and Pixen.
Sound? I never get so far
or
Gonna be trying for a finish this time.
Tools:
Ipad + pixelmator
garageband + bfxr
c++ / opengl/ SDL 2
Here we go!
I attempted LD35 but never posted anything about it (or had anything I could post). So this is my first real LD.
Tools:
LÖVE framework (and love.js for web deployment)
Vim for text editing
Krita for art
Logic Pro and various synths/sample libraries for music (only if I have time)
Haha why am I even here? My first compo was in 2007 and my last was in 2011. I’ve never made anything worth a damn. I am going to see what my new development skills can do.
Unity 5 + various 2D extensions
Spine2D
Visual Studio 2015
Photoshop
My Amazballs rig (i7, 970, 32g ram, 512gig 950 Pro m.2) feeding a LG 34UC98-W Monitor
1.75L bottle of Jack Daniels
So lets see what happens.
The last few jams I’ve been in, I’ve been short on time, and some of them I couldn’t even start a game. But this weekend – this weekend a game will be made! This will be the best jam ever, or at least I’ll be trying hard to make it so. Happy to see this Ludum Dare happening even without ideal conditions; my thanks and respect go out to Sorceress, Tijn, Wan, Rnlf, Frozen Fractal, Liamlime, McFunkypants, and everyone else who contributed to this LD and all past ones.
Likely using Unity, Paint.NET, and probably some other handy tools. (All will be listed in my entry, of course.)
Also: that keynote. My respect for McFunkypants continues to grow by leaps and bounds.
First game jam for me. I’m going for the compo.
Software I plan to use is UE4, Blender, Bfxr, and maybe Paint.net, MagicaVoxel and Inkscape.
Who dares, wins!
Made a last second decision to enter, but I’m in for my 2nd Ludum Dare! This time I’ll be using Love2D w/aseprite and most likely chiptone or bfxr.
Hi everyone, we are a team of three :
And we are in for the Jam !!
It’s our first LD except for our “graphic artist” who has participate to the LD35 and made a quite bad game :p
By the way he has made a wallpaper for us because he was bored… it’s very ugly but we want to support him so… here it is :

We will be using : Unity/Gimp and we will see later for the other needs…
Hope everyone will enjoy this LD even without PoV 😉
Love Apple Games gamedev team is in for the jam! Our team consists of Boris van Schooten (tmtg.net) and Val Jones (val_hax).
For software development we are going to use jgame.js and possibly the new game development toolkit CellSpace (beta).
Graphics: Tiny Sprite Editor, Gimp, Inkscape, Evolvotron.
Sound: SFXR, Audacity, LMMS, a microphone, and possibly a keyboard.
More info about the dev tools:
Jgame.js is a 2D game library based on WebGL, which we’ve been using for our previous games.
CellSpace is built on top of it, and enables tile-based game development by defining tile rewrite patterns (cellular automata style). It comes with an IDE and a sprite editor. It has similarities with PuzzleScript, but allows action games with smooth animation to be developed as well! See the screenshot below.

This time it’s for real, I’m Random.Range( 0.0f, 1.0f ) sure. Unity, C#, Adobe CS, Blender and whatever else I can find useful that I bought in my Asset Store candy bag (Probably including: UniRx, Event System Dispatcher, UI Builder, Universal SFX, Master Audio, DevConsole, ProCore, ShaderForge, Easy Save)
Hey guys! So i will be livestreaming in around 30 minutes
(I hope i dont finish my drinks, im kinda low already)
I forgot to include a link: https://github.com/Kharzette/LudumDareStuff
There’s a handy tool in there to assemble chronolapse images into a video as well as some other misc stuff I might use. All C#.
This will be my 4th ludum dare and hopefully my second fully completed project. I will be using mostly the same tools as I did last year, these will be:
Engine: Unity 5.4
Language: C#
Editor: Microsoft Visual Studio 2015
Art: Paint.net, Aseprite
Music: Beepbox
Sound: Bfxr, Audacity
Browser: Chrome
I think that’s it, I am going to make sure to plan out my game better this time and have a more realistic goal than in the past. I wish I could use Java for this but I’m not skilled enough in any graphical libraries yet and I am definitely not doing graphics in swing or something. Anyways, good luck and have fun!
![22396-shot0.png-eq-900-500[1]](http://ludumdare.com/compo/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/22396-shot0.png-eq-900-5001.png)
.
Two man team from such smash one-day hits as Steve Can’t Zen, Dreamcake Rescue can’t wait to clone Pokemon Go and drive each other bonkers!
Jam Toolkit
Artemis ECS framework (check it out!)
LibGDX
Photoshop, IntellIJ IDEA, Java
.
.

Can’t wait. First time doing this.
Mandatory “I’m in”-post.” Last time I had to give up because I hated the theme, but this time I have a much better feeling already. Here’s my tool-belt:
Engine: Yes
Language: Whatever understands me
Art: Please!
Music: Good idea!
Sound: Why not?
Fuel: I’ll have a grande latte, please. No sugar, thanks.
Assuming the theme isn’t absolute shit (and not just regular shit) I’m in for my fifth Ludum Dare,
I will probably be using the same tools as last time:
I’ll be posting my progress @Kryptarchy.
Best of luck to all!
I’ve been on a long hiatus, but I’m definitely not sitting out LD36!
My original intent was to enter with a custom game engine based on NET Core and OpenGL, but didn’t manage to get things into an usable state in time.
So plan B it is! I’ve always been a big fan of LÖVE. I’ve gathered a bundle of community libraries (including anim8, simple-tiled-implementation, hump, bump and lovebirds ❤︎) that I intend to use.
I’ve put this bundle in a Github repository: https://github.com/cryovat/ld-template-love2d
My toolbox will look like this:
Best of luck to all of you!
I’ll be learning how to use Godot over the course of this LD!
I haven’t made a game in a long time – I’d say I’ve never really made a game. Hopefully I can at least make something!
Using Godot, with Photoshop for graphics, Musagi for music, sfxr/bfxr for other sounds and Audacity for other sound-related stuff.
Good luck, make some cool stuff!
