LD36 August 26–29, 2016

Woohoo! LD time

I’m in.

Unity 5
Gimp
Wolfram Tones/abundant-music

I’m so happy that there is going to be an LD this month. I was really worried when a couple of months ago, since the August LD is the only one where I am not overwhelmingly busy. Of course, being busy usually doesn’t stop me from participating, but it will be nice to have a relaxing weekend for making a game. Thanks a lot to those of you who are putting in the effort to run this LD! You all are awesome people. Hopefully POV gets the rest he needs so that December will be the best LD so far.

Im in : Updates

Hey! So i finally decided what kind of game i wanna make for the LD Jam!

I will make a Java LWJGL City Building 3D Game using slick-utils.

Ill use Blender for 3D models, Paint.net for texturing, i dont know for music.

Ill be livestreaming everything on youtube in multiple parts on a future channel (ill let u know what that channel is later)

After Ludum Dare (Jam) i will launch a Kickstarter project and if i get 3500$ ill continue this project and much more projects and make my own company.

Here I am !

Hi, I’m Vegevan and I’m here to tell you I’m totally in LD36 !

I’m totally new, my very firt LD but i’m totally motivated to rock !

I used to program with C++/SFML tools and GIMP graphisms, but you know; game making is a real passion for me; and I’m now experiencing many other ways.

This time, I’m gonna used Godot Engine (that deserves so much more intereset !) with Krita graphism; let me know if you use one of those two ^^

See ya next week-end !

I’m in!

Hooray for another Ludum Dare! This time around I’m going to work exclusively off the Pico-8 fantasy console to develop code, graphics, and sounds. For those not familiar with Pico-8, check it out here. It’s a one-stop-shop for simple video games, and the “hardware” limitations keep things interesting.

Good luck everyone!

w00t theme voting

Welp this time I’m co-oping and focusing only on music, so while my plate is lighter, I also love the theme voting process. Can’t wait for the awesome theme!

Excited for LD36

Looking forward to participating in our second ever game jam. Hopefully we’ll be able to come up with something a bit more advanced this time, and try to apply the lessons we learned from the last game jam!

String[] tools = {

“Java 8”, “SilenceEngine”, “GWT”, “Android”, “LWJGL”,

“WebGL4J”, “GWT-AL”, “GwtOpentype”, “EasyXML”, “EasyJSON”,

“AndroidOpenAL”,

Rather difficult choice but….

I’m in.

I will be using Unity + Gimp + BFXR + LMMS.

Might try some VR Stuff, who knows what could happen in this wacky world.

Personally, I think the whole Ludum Shake-Up is a bit weird. I would have had liked to have voting, but I’d rather not risk losing this site to get it. Ludum Dare means a lot to me, and I want it to continue being what it is. I understand cheating is an issue, and I like fairness as much as the next guy. So I will suck it up and do what Ludum Dare stands for. Which is to make a game and give it to the world. Have fun everyone!

80 game ideas – a warm up challenge

I’m probably in for this weekend, but actually I’ll be setting myself a challenge for a warm up activity just in case. I want to come up with (at least) 80 game ideas in a week, 1 for each theme that is voted on. I’m hoping this will get my creative juices flowing and give me some practice for thinking of new game ideas!

Does anybody else do this or something similar before LDs?

Team up or something! – I’m in

G’day!

I decided to do like everyone else and make one of these posts.
This will be my sixth Ludum Dare, excluding the Mini LDs, and I’m quite exited for this one’s themes.

I’ve got a lot of experience with programming, and have recently become very much in to machine learning
– which I’d like to try to use in a game development context. When it comes to fancy art I can’t do much
other than silly pixel art and I’ve got no experience with music, sound etc..

I’ll be using..:

Lua, Unity, Java, PIXI/Phaser, GameMaker or something else … – for programming

GIMP or Blender, depending on what I decide to make (if I don’t team up with someone) – for “art”

Contact me somehow, if you’d like to team up or something – i.am@nilq.dk

In!

Using Vim + Löve 2D + Aseprite + Audacity and my faithful wall clock. Good luck everyone!

I’m in… for first time. In part-time.

I’ll participate on the Jam for first time, but I’ll work on saturday and sunday morning, so I’ll only work on the game from sunday’s noon to monday’s night. Half the time.

New to game dev, with some experience on small projects, I’ll do what I can. If I deliver something playable I’ll be happy enough.

I’ll use Stencyl, because it’s more quick to put things up, and Inkscape for the sprites. I’m really excited about all that.

I am in for the first time too

I am in,

Another person taking part for the first time, i am an award winning film maker who recently made the jump and started making games too, already taken part in a few jams and enjoyed it so booked next weekend free to sit at home and create something weird.

Should be interesting the last Jam i entered i made a game about a Fried Egg trying to escape from Hell, So who knows what i’ll come up with this time :)

Another Jam another gameboy ROM?

All things going well I should be there for one of the compo days, but may resort to the jam depending on family commitments. Either way a gameboy game shall be made! (Even if the theme is colours!)
