I’m in!

Its my first time, I’ll be using Unity for this one.

I’m in

This is my first ludum dare

I’ll be programming in Unity3D

My friend will be doing 2d art and sound.

We’ll be communicating over the internet (other side of country) and it’s the first time we’ve worked together so it’ll be interesting!

I am in! (?my 5th time?)

I believe this is going to be my fifth time joining the ludum dare jam. And I am more desperate then ever to make an awesome game!

I’ll be using Unity 5.* again. As it is an easy to use game Engine. (At some point I will use my own game engine when i finish it ).

The rest of the tools will likely be.

  • blender
  • adobe photoshop
  • google
  • notepad++
  • anything else

hard to say  which tools I will be using ’cause mostly which tools rely on what kind of game I am making.

I wish all of you good luck and more importantly have fun.

Greetings,

Me

I’m in

Woo it’s time for another Ludum Dare! I’ve been doing these for almost 3 years now.

This time my brother and I hope to create an awesome game using JavaScript and WebGL, along with Paint.NET for graphics and Audacity for audio.

I’ll be looking forward to the (hopefully) more detailed feedback from people since judging will be unofficial this year.

Let’s have another fun weekend!

Excited to make a game with you bro

I’m in… but looking for a artist partner

Hi all, this will be my third LD. As always, I plan to work with:

Engine : Unity / C#
Art : PyxelEdit
Music : cgMusic + LMMS
Effects : BFXR

This time, I would like to team up with a artist. As you can see in my previous LD, the art was not my best strenght, and it took me a lot of time, to draw simple fishes or bunnies.
Is there anybody available to team up ?

As a team we would join into the jam, but I would like to do this in 48hrs.. Just like the compo.
Please, drop me a comment or something, if you’re interested.

This is my fourth dare (third on this account) and it’s gonna be a good one.

Gear:
Computers:
Self built 4790k oriented pc
Some HP APU oriented laptop
Language: Java
Audio:
Music:
Midi keyboard (ctk-700), old christmas present.
Some random Yamaha 4 pad electric drumb kit
SFX will be whatever i find or make using online tools.
Plan:
Making a new engine from stratch in the first day with 2D graphics.
Day1.5 is storyboarding, music design.
2 is level design and creation, engine refinements.
3 is fixing fvckvps and getting stuff to work

Happy jamming!

I’m in!

This will be my third Ludum Dare, my first I hope to actually finish, and my first in C (but I’ll probably move to Java when I inevitably get tired and frustrated…)

I will be streaming *all* of the weekend over on Twitch.

SHAMELESS PLUG: I am currently streaming some dank preparation.

Tools (for C):

  • Atom/Vim
  • GCC
  • GDB
  • SDL2
  • Paint.NET/Photoshop

Tools (if Java):

Good luck everyone!

I’m in

Hello!

I’m in! The engine or language I’m going to use depends on the theme!

We’re IN!

It’s been a year since Henri and I participated in Ludum Dare 33 and we’re excited to give it another try.

Our last entry Cursed was very simple but saved by the strength of Henri’s art. This year I’m hoping to match the quality of the art with more interesting gameplay.

I’ll be using IntelliJ IDEA, the Phaser HTML5 game framework, and Audacity for music and sound effects.

Henri will be using either an Intuos Draw tablet with Photoshop or an iPad Pro with Adobe Sketch for the art.

My base code can be found here.

In once again

Hopefully I can find the time, got some plans on Saturday but otherwise it’ll be all programming all the time.  Hoping to spend a bit more time on Art this time without making just placeholder graphics that had to stay.  Also music this time.  2nd time is the charm, I hear.

GameMaker Studio for 2d.

Path-finding

I found these path-finding tutorials and I thought they were swell. I hope to bring some life to my game this weekend. Enjoy!

I believe that the creator of these videos has even participated in ld.

Get hyped

WHAAD UP!

What’s going on everybody?

This is going to be my first jam and I’m super stoked to become active in the community!

Ill be using programming in C++ using the Cocos2dx 3.10 engine.

Goodies:

  • TERMINAL
  • Xcode
  • Android Studio
  • Aseprite
  • Affinity Designer
  • Tiled
  • TexturePacker
  • Bfxr
  • Cfxr
  • Wacom Intous
  • MacBook Pro

Since I’ll be dev’n in the mobile space I was wondering if anybody had any good suggestions or tools for uploading the .apk file for android. (This will technically be a cross platform game but iOs doesn’t let you download outside the app store).

If you’re free to watch, check out the Twitch stream, I’ll be on all weekend.

Also I’ll be posting my skull code over on GitHub.

Godspeed Devs.

RYPTAR

I’m in, hopefully.

I didn’t finish my game last year, but hopefully I’ll be able to do it this time. Good luck everyone!

Buckle up, I’m going in!

Hello World! The Qartis devteam (final name and actual games pending) will be taking part in our first game jam, so let’s get rockin’! My partner-in-crime and I will be using primarily:

  • Unity/Monodevelop/C# as our engine and environment
  • Paint.NET for 2D art
  • The Internet for sound effects
  • Blender for modeling/rigging
  • Fireworks for textures
  • and Fruity Loops for music

Can’t wait to see what everyone comes up with!

I’m In!

This will be my first time being able to do the Jam, usually I can only do the Compo. Super excited I might be able to make a half decent game this time.

Tools:

Engine: GameMaker: Studio

Graphics: Aesprite or Inkscape

Sound: BFXR and Garageband

Beverages: Lots of Tea, Coffee, and Jones Soda (I suggest the Cream Soda, that’s my favorite)

I might be in…

So I have a 2500 word essay that I’m supposed to be writing at around that time…. but I might be able to fit an LD in there somewhere 😉 <3

I was hoping that I would have my custom game engine done and dusted by this upcoming LD, but other coding projects and schoolwork got in my way. Instead of that, here’s what I’m planning on using:

  • Engine/Language/IDE: Java/Processing
  • Music: Otomata (maybe Ardour)
  • Sound effects: SFXR
  • Graphics: GIMP

Hopefully I can get the livestream working this year! (https://twitch.tv/nonemuninja)

I’m in (plus resources for Unity)

I’m in, using Unity as usual. In addition, I’ve gradually been building a collection of one-off C# scripts that can be used for basic behaviors such as:

  • camera scrolling/locking
  • visual effects (bouncing, etc.)
  • basic logic for match-3 and 2D platforming
  • helpers for sound effects
  • UI helpers
  • object pooling

Per the compo rules, they’re open for anyone to use: https://bitbucket.org/dylanwolf/ludumdareresources
