I’m in! (Maybe)
Maybe participating at LD 34.
Maybe participating at LD 34.
First time participating in LD I will be taking part in the JAM next weekend, and hope to submit something! This will also be the first game I have ever attempted so I am thinking of keeping it very simple.
Will be using Unity3D as the engine, and having never produced any Art/Music before not so sure what I will use for those. I’m thinking FL Studio & Inkscape.
I’m in for the jam part. I have done global game jams before on teams, but this will be my first solo jam.
I plan on using Unity2D, along with the adobe products.
Good luck everyone!
This will be my first Ludum Dare, and I’m quite anxious to see how it goes. My class schedule happened to work around this dare and I thought why not give it a try. I’ve done some gamedev work and created a quick game with a group of others so hopefully this goes well. If you want, check out the game here.
Planning on going it alone this first time to get the feel. Will be using Unity3D with C#, Photoshop, Illustrator. Also audio programs SFXR, BoscaCeoil, and Audacity if those work out.
Can’t wait to get started. Here’s to a crazy weekend.

Hello, I’m Raghu, and i’m known on the interwebs as Razetime. I am just steeping into game development.
You can find me on:

email: rraghu.11502@gmail.com
I am currently learning Phaser for HTML5 Game dev.
Nice to meet you all.
We’re a team of three (Brad, Peter and Austin) and this is our first LD! We’re using Gamemaker, Adobe Flash for art and probably some royalty-free audio. Looking forward to it!
For those like me, curious about the full list of theme suggestions:

On paste bin, for 1 week

This endpoint is temporary, but you can get a JSON formatted list of all themes here:

Every suggestion, with duplicates removed.
You shouldn’t expect this URL to be around in the future, but feel free to use it for now.
Here it is 😀 Its probably really bad but I don’t care. ^_^
Maybe i’ll use Game Maker Studio for this LD… i have more experience on it than in Godot Engine.
Godot engine it’s awesome! but i can’t make a stable or playable game on it yet… maybe i’ll use it or i’ll use GMS.
In a mild programming frenzy I decided to write a small text-adventure game framework that I might or might not end up using for LD34. You can view the source here: https://github.com/eott/tajs
I will probably extend it a bit more before LD hits and also provide a usage guide in case other devs want to use it too (though there are better frameworks already, like undum). That’s about all for now.
Last Ludum Dare was a good success for myself, probably my most fun and best LD yet, as I actually was able to create a fun game that was simple, and actually completed (for the most part). It got some great reviews, and I enjoyed making a more simple, casual game for the compo. I plan on using my methods like I did last Ludum Dare, focusing on tiny details and creating a simple-to-implement game mechanic. Anyways, this time:
I will, as always, be streaming at www.twitch.tv/codenmore – last year’s stream was my most successful stream yet, and it was tons of fun!
I have just made a new game, if you would like to buy it you can purchase it at a minimum price of $0.15! http://adenmansongames.itch.io/dark
If you have a little money and want a nice experience of puzzle-platformer, be sure to support me and buy it, you will get a cookie! Also be sure to Tweet with the hashtag #adenmansongames or #darkgame. Thanks for reading this, be sure to act and support me!

I’ve decided not to take part in this Ludum Dare, and instead learn the new LWJGL 3, because the old one doesn’t have support.
This is my first ludum dare.
Tools I’ll be using:
Art – GIMP
Engine – GameMaker: Studio
Sound – Audacity / (Mixcraft 6)
I’ll be streaming the whole thing over at http://twitch.tv/quill18 as always.
Unity, Photoshop, etc…
And this time, for realsies, I’ll be keeping it simple. Really. For real. Probably. Maybe.
I will be in the jam this year me and my friend Cayden will be making a game.
Engine: Game Maker
Language: GML
Team Size:2
Art: Paint.net / Game makers build in art program
This year’s going to be the year. I’ve been working on some apps recently so feel ready to enter and finish a game this time!
Good luck everyone!
So, I made a simple invaders clone with GBDK to warm-up my coding. It’s a little buggy, oddly buggy, but should run on Gameboy Emulators and Hardware. More Info Below.

Should help me be a little more ready for next weekend, themes, etc.
I missed Ludum Dare 33 because my wife and I had our 10 year wedding anniversary, but I am excited to be IN for the 34th!
Tools:
MonoGame is the only framework I know well enough that I am not spending 1/2 of my time learning over the weekend. After building everything from scratch my last 2 times at this I have decided I should probably dump a bunch of stuff into an open source repository so I don’t recreate the wheel every time I do this. I’ll be using my own engine/framework called Coldsteel on top of MonoGame. I don’t know why anyone would want to use this, but, in keeping with the rules, this code will be publicly available here: https://github.com/srakowski/coldsteel. Keep in mind that I am going to be prepping this up to the compo and modifying it during.
Have fun next weekend!
