LD34 December 11–14, 2015

I’m in III: The Revenge of C++

Very excited for LD34, which will be my 3rd!

Last LD I learned a lot! I hope I can deliver an even better game this time! So, I decided to remake my engine so it was more structured and support 3d (though I think I’ll stick to 2d for this LD). Not finished yet, but I think I can get something done with it~ Didn’t get any other new skill either… Sooo yeah… Regardless let’s do our best!!

Anyyyway, here are my tools:

  • Language: C++
  • IDE: Code::Blocks
  • Engine: My own (Taengine)
  • Art: GIMP and mayybe Krita
  • SFX: bfxr and Audacity
  • Music: BoscaCeoil

LD34 Weekend

I’m in and this will be my first LD! (Excluding the mini-LD)

Using:

Unity

VS C#

Photoshop

Blender (3D) or Graphics Gale (2D)

We’re In

Hej developers Melvin and I are gonna make a (hopefully) kewl gamu together.

Melvin will be using Game Maker Studio

and I’ll be using Pyxel Edit and Photoshop.

Have fun everyone!

I’m in! (Wow, such an original title :P)

My very first Ludum Dare. How exciting! Never done this before, so I thought it would be fun to challenge myself.

The tools I will be using are:

Game engine: Construct 2 (only started learning it, seems relatively easy though)
Sounds: Audacity (probably) and bfxr (which I literally discovered here a couple days ago)
Graphics: No idea yet. Paint.Net and Spriter possibly?

So yeah, as you can see, not very prepared yet 😛

I will probably be streaming on my twitch channel, twitch.tv/randomitestudios. This is gonna be fun! If I manage to stay awake long enough, of course…

I’m in baby!

I’m hyped as heck!

This will be my 4th LD and the first time i’ll be saying “NO, GOOD SIR!” to the jam, and instead be going for that sweet compo prestige. You heard me!

Last LD I said “next LD”, and now… now it’s time to just do it.

I’ll be using Unity as my engine, PyxelEdit for the art and FL Studio for the music (if I can figure out how to work it in time).

Best of luck to everyone out there, and I hope to be playing all your games soon!

Oh, and you can check my previous entries here:

LD32 – Dagobert

LD33 – Digestive Quest

I’m in!

My second attempt with Unreal Engine, finish the game will be a victory for me!

Have fun!

Ludum Dare 34 The Revenge of the Mad Theme!

It was a quite night when suddenly the Theme was announced and all hell broke loose! People were scrambling to there computers, code was written, art was created, food was prepared, screenshots were taken, posts were made, bug were squashed, caffeine was ingested! In some parts this went on for 2 long days, in other part 3 long days but in the end, after the dust settled, after all the caffeine was drank, after all the food was eaten, after all the code was written, after all the art was made and after all the bugs were squashed games were made!

I’m not really participating this time but I would advice you to tell us what programming language you are using. More people might respond, maybe 😛

Yes please tell us your programming language.

The programming language will likely be either C# using Unity or gamemaker, whatever language that is.

I’m in again! Seventh time’s the charm!

And I actually have a reasonable internet connection this time around, so maybe I’ll try some streaming? As someone who’s never really streamed anything, could someone point me in the direction of a guide to getting set up or something?

The keywords you need are: OBS + Twitch

I’m in for Ludum Dare 34

This will be my second Ludum Dare Jam!

I plan on using Unity 5.0 5.3 and MonoDevelop with C#.  Although I am half tempted to do a command line game with C# (we’ll see where the theme takes us)

Audacity, BoscaCeoil, and probably sfxr for sound.

Paint.net, pen, paper, and a scanner for my art.

Im in!

I just built a new computer on Saturday, so sadly I don’t have anything installed beyond Rocket League but I’m still willing to participate. I’ll have to reinstall all my tools, so that sucks, but I should be ready to go by Friday! :)

I am IN once again

Sadly I missed the the last Ludum Dare but I am prepared for this one. My computer is all set and my body is ready.

BRING IT ON!

I am in for the 4 th time

Greeting all I am in for the 4 th time. I will be using Linux OS for Blender modeling, LMMS Linux Multimedia Studio sound and music, Gimp artwork. Mac OS for Unity 5 I will not be streaming, but I plan to do a video recap after the weekend for YouTube.

Have fun all.

Back again

After skipping two Dares (it’s because I’ve focused my energy into completing Gravure: A Super Network Wars Prelude, which can be downloaded here), I’ll jump into season 34.

As usual, I’ll be making a visual novel with Ren’Py.

It’s nice to be back.

I’m in

This will be my third time in.  I’m not sure what I will use just yet; I want to see the possible themes first.

I’m in

I’ve done a couple of 48h jams here and there, and I think it’s time I did Ludum Dare!

I’ll be using Game Maker Studio, Photoshop or some other thing if I do pixel art, as well as BoscaCeoil for music!

Get ready to get rekt, nerds. Hype!

Don’t stop me now!

Hi!

Been looking forward to this LD for a good while, mostly because the past events I had things come up on the weekend… Somethings seems to get drawn to Ludum Dare everytime I plan on participating. Even this time… but with the difference that I can actually sit in front of my computer and develop, instead of being away from home all the time. And to some extent the dog I’m taking care of during the weekend will benefit my productivity to some degree… be it fluffy d’awwww happiness, notifying me to take a break, provide SFX samples for me and such. Yea, having a dog as your companion is pretty neat.

Tool-wise I’m pretty much using much of the common software others use… but for the sake of it, here’s a rough overview:

⊗ Engine ⇒ Unity 5.3
⊗ Programming & Text Editing ⇒ Visual Studio Community 2015 (C#), Notepad++, Atom
⊗ Graphics ⇒ Photoshop CC, PyxelEdit, 3DS Max
⊗ Audio ⇒ Audacity, sfxr, FL Studio
⊗ Hardware ⇒ 49-Key MIDI Keyboard, PC with 3 Screens + Android Tablet, DIN A4 Paper, Pen & Eraser, Wacom Graphic Tablet, Bosch Tassimo T40 Coffee Maker

Might consider streaming the whole thing via twitch as well. But definitely will post an update once every now and then. Since I live in Germany and the start time of LD is kinda late at night I will also oversleep the start, but then will be rested well once I get up in the morning. Managing your energy and scheduling your overall day, including sleep, breaks and food is important a jam. :)

Anyways, hope you all have a good week and I will see you this weekend!

I’m in!!!

This will be my second Ludum Dare entry, and I am so excited! Only like 4 and a half hours to go! :) I will be using Game Maker: Studio, Audacity, SFXR, and Graphics Gale. I still have to find a music program, but that should be easy. 😀

I Love My Circle

I failed the October challenge by quite a long way but hopefully I Love My Circle will be out later this month. Thank you Ludum Dare for inspiring me to do this.
