especially before it even started. Well here we are.
I’m assembling some of my friends and former teammates for another game jam, first time Ludum Dare (always missed the term).
We’ll apparently go jam and we’d like to make something nice.
Some tools we’ll (probably) use:
- Code: SFML/C++
- Documentation: markdown, doxygen
- Graphics: Aseprite, ?
- Music: Audacity, autotracker?, ?
- Sounds: sfxr?, ?
- Versioning: git, something else for binary blobs?
- Communication: IRC, face to face, flipchart, issue tracker
- Promotion: twitter, website?, ?
- Playtesting: LD gathering @ Prague, friends?
- Continuous Integration: Jenkins? (if we can get it going)
- Distribution: deb packages, rpm packages?, NSIS?, dmg packages? (we’ll see what we can do, zip files are always good backup solution)
- Placeholder Art: OGA
- Energy: tea, coffee, energy drinks, coke, food, sleep

- Time Management: ?
Even though it’s not a rule for jam, we’d like to release everything we create this LD under free licences. Code will most probably go MIT or BSD and multimedia CC-BY.
Right now, we are:
- 1 Game Designer/Team Lead/Lead Programmer
- 1 Music Composer
- 1 2D/Pixel Artist (probably Saturday only)
I have a few more folks on maybe, including 1 extra programmer and 1 extra artist. Unfortunately we’ll be probably missing some more people we always relied on in past jams including an UX specialist and English copywriter/corrector, who can’t do this weekend.
We’d like to finish and we’d like to produce something nice. Not necessarily price winning, but enjoyable. If you’d like to build something this LD, but don’t think compo is for you, you might join us locally or remotely, even just for brainstorming, playtesting or to look under our hands and comment (that can be pretty helpful too!). If you can fill in some missing links in our team, even better. Drop me a note on here or on IRC.
Looking forward for this jam! This time we are more ready than ever. See you all down in the arena and good luck to all your projects!
