LD34 December 11–14, 2015

8 PACKS OF OREOS AND I AM SO IN!

I am most definitely in!

So excited it’s already time for LD, been waiting for this since the last one and I have 8 packs of oreos to fill me with planet destroying energy!

I will be using Java, piskel and gimp for art, audacity and a my microphone for sound.

😀

I am in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am in, this will be my fifth time. I started in 29 and took a break in 33 due to burnout and laziness. But now I am back and I am ready. Although I will possibly be unable to work for twelve hours on Sunday.

So my tools will be:

Engine: Unity 5.3

Language: C#

Graphics:Blender/Gimp

Audio: Not sure I dont have a lot of experience here. Any suggestions?

Energy drink: Dragon

Alcohol: Tequila

Snacks: Chutney potato chips

Music: METAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope you all the best in the best game jam ever!

Best Themes so far

I have to say that I believe Round 4 has some of the best themes out of all the rounds so far! Thoughts?

I’ve been mixed about all rounds. I think 2 was my favourite. 4 has some good bits but some awful ones too.

I personally found that round 3 had the best ones. But they were all pretty balanced.

In again

Let’s do this LDJam thing! No particular goals, just want to enjoy the event.

I will use the same set of tools as last time.

Framework: HTML, Javascript, ImpactJS, my own analytics stuff
Text editor: Kate
Graphics: GIMP, Inkscape, Infinte Design
Audio: Maybe Autotracker or Fake Music Generator and bfxr or jfxr. Audacity to edit my own recordings, done wth my mobile phone.

Base code: (just a basic HTML template and minimum CSS)

Good luck to everyone!

I’m in – with friends this time

This will be my second Ludum Dare, and my third game jam overall. This time I’ve gotten two friends interested, so I’ll be joining the jam rather than the compo.

Language: JavaScript/HTML5
Engine: custom or Phaser, still undecided
Dev environment: vim, a bash prompt, and git

I may re-use some code from previous jams, which I have on GitHub (LD31 and Kiwijam 15). For instance, if I go with a custom engine, I’ll almost certainly grab my existing geometry code.

Play Game in Dropbox

Hey there!

In preperation for LD 34 I programmed a small game in Unity. Now I wanted to try to upload it to Dropbox so you can play it in the browser. Instead of displaying the webpage I can only download the page. Can someone please help me?

Thanks in advance!

I’ve never seen this done before. I don’t know if Dropbox has the capabilities of running a game in the browser, however sites like newgrounds and gamejolt have that ability. It’s simple to upload to both and it just works. Sorry I could help you with the drop box issue, but I hope that these suggestions will make your life a bit easier during the competition.

Put your HTML file inside your public folder in dropbox. That’s worked for me in the past.

I’m in!

First game jam, first LD. Just hoping to finish a game.

Unity 5/Adobe CC/Logic Pro/Maya

Looking for more team members

Looking for more more Dev to join our team for this next LD.
We’ve got:
Me – Leader and programmer/designer
Ginger – amazing artist
Casey – 3d artist and programmer

We need one more player to start our team. We are looking for either an artist (preferable 2D) or a programmer (we’re using either Unity w/C# or GameMaker).
We are also looking for an audio artist or someone with audio skills for doing music and possibly sound effects generation. You don’t have to be super good at this, just passionate about it.
Here’s an example for a game made last jam by Ginger, and I, and a few other peeps : http://ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-33/?action=preview&uid=57692
If you’re interested, please leave a note below. :3

Thanks! We will definitely consider it. We are doing the Jam, so if you’re doing the compo, maybe we can work together when your done with the compo?

I’m in, Can I vote if I only participate as team member?

Don’t know how it works here so , srry I’m noob at ludumdare posts. (srry about messing around)

Probably using Unity or Construct framework, and pixel art with graphics gale.

Don’t know if I’ll find a team or do it alone. But if I join a team can I be able to vote after?

You can only rate games from an account that submits a game – and whether you’re a team or solo, only one account submits each game.

I’m (hopefully) in

Heyy

Going to try my luck at another ludum dare.

Stuffs:

  • Unity or Löve2D
  • Krita and Pixelmator for art
  • Something for audio idk

Count me in!

In the last game jam, I was able to pinpoint my weaknesses in game development (it was coding. who’da thunk?). Even though I haven’t worked on anything since, I’m willing to give LD 34 my all. Let’s do it!

Game Maker || Milkytracker || SFXR || Manga Studios 5

Declaration of Ludum Daring

I, recursor shall endeavor to participate in this LD beginning on the 11th day of the 12th month of the year 2015. In doing so I herein declare that I plan to use:

Or I Might scrap all of this and go with GoDot Engine.
I’ll be limited to around 24 hours this time due to some events that require my attention this weekend but I’ll give it my best shot.

In, Out, In….. Out

I was in 31, out 32, in for 33.

Alas, I’m overseas for work over the LD34 weekend. So in keeping with my “in-out” tradition, I’m out for 34.

I will however, participate in spirit, by voting on themes, checking what is the final theme, and dipping in next week to try a few games.

Good luck to all those who participate.
