LD34 December 11–14, 2015

We’re coming back!

If you saw our last entry, you’re probably familiar with our game “Death Maze”. I (Pag, aka the head of programming for MXG) personally felt that it was an undone project, and we’re aiming for a 3D game this time (depending on the theme, of course). We really enjoyed the feedback you gave us last time, and we’re looking forward for your support this round!

To all you other developers out there, I wish you all the best of luck! May the best team win! 😀

I’m in.

Tools:

Pico 8

That’s about it. It’ll be my first time using it for a full project, so I’ll still be working most of it out, but I’ll be doing all my sprite/map/code/potentially awful sound/music editing within the console.

Hopefully I can design something fun and short in the allotted time. I don’t tend to be very good with deadlines, so we’ll see how this turns out…

I’m in

My name is Dylan Woodbury, and I’m a UCSC Game Design student. Will be using Aptana to make an HTML5 game for the theme. This will be my second Ludum Dare jam. Excited!

I’m in

This will be my second Ludum Dare compo!

I will use the Unreal engine for the first time.

I reckon I’ll get a few hours practice beforehand, and if nothing else, I hope I am able to produce something playable at least.

As I always say, nobody remembers a coward! :)

I’m In!

Second Ludum Dare. This should be fun!

Tools:

Unity

PyxelEdit (free version) [art]

Bfxr (sounds)

Going to do the compo! Get ready for some programmer art!

I’m in!

Really excited for this one, I’ll be using

-Unity
-FL Studio and BFXR for the music and sfx
-Fireworks for graphics

I’m in!

This will be my first Ludum Dare. I’m not ready to put my Java or C++ skills to the test yet (maybe next LD), so this is what I will be using for LD #34:

GameMaker: Studio

GIMP 2.8

Musagi

Audacity

If things go well, I will record the whole thing to share on Youtube. I cannot possibly stream the event with data caps… sorry!

Ludum Deals for Ludum Dare 34

Deals! See the comments below for this LD’s list of offers, bargains and other things.

If you’d like to submit your own deal, post details and a link in the comments below, or send Mike an e-mail.

I’m In!

First time participation.

Going with unity (C#), gimp, blender.

I’m %100 in! (%0 out)

I’m VERY stoked for this Ludum Dare.

I’ll most likely be using Gamemaker Studio as per usual. But who cares about that mumbo jumbo….

IT’S JAMTIME

I’ll probably be doing the compo but if you’re interested, and you think the shoe fits, I’m low-key still interested in teaming up.

Stay healthy and enjoy yourselves! <3

Hey, I’ve got a team I’m putting together. I’m hoping to use gamemaker too. :3

We did a game jam last year and got a pretty good game going. We currently have 3 members, me(designer and programmer), ginger (our artist), and chris (audio)

My first LD!

Hi! My name is Ittai Manero and this is the first time ever I do something in the LD website. I’ve been watching and playing the awesome games you’ve been creating for a while now, and I think it is time to participate. I’m not a programmer, I just love videogames and it turns out I can manage pretty well with creating graphics (I’m a comic artist for a living) and I can do simple, small games with Clickteam Fusion. This is gonna be my first LD and I’m really excited about it!

So I’ve just submitted an small game or something like that for the warm-up thing, please be kind and check it out! ^_^

The BEST Theme in my Opinion (I’m IN!)

So… I went to PoV’s twitter page today, and, checking out the BETA test for Theme Voting, I saw it, The Theme.

Theme

You may be able to tell which it is, considering it’s green, but really. ONE MASSIVE ENEMY.
The ideas.

But anywhoozle, I’m In! I’m gonna try and knock into my head this 4th round: “Keep it simple stupid!”, me being the stupid. Y’know, 4th time’s the charm!
I have a feeling in April I’ll be saying “5th time’s the charm!”. Just my guess.

-Programming: Unity5!
-Art: Paint.NET
-Sound: BFXR or my trusty mic.
-Music: Umm… I dunno.

Good luck guys!
-SkullPixel

I’m in for my 2nd LD

I’m in for my 2nd Ludum Dare. Can’t wait!

For LD33, I did music for a game called Fire Fight. http://ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-33/?action=preview&uid=55627

For this LD, I’m pumped to be working with Leafthief. I had a blast working with him on the last GBJAM, and I’m looking forward to working with him again.

I love holing up in my apartment all weekend, cranking out tunes as fast as I can.

Good luck to everyone!

What time in Kyoto when LD starts !?

Hey guys,

I’m hosting a game jam in Kyoto, Japan. But I’m really lost about jetlag. What day and time exactly is it going to be there when LD starts (when theme is announced ?)

Save me !

Thanks :)

You’re GMT+9 – normally it would start at either 10 or 11am on the Saturday depending on whether or not the country of the admins is having daylight savings or not. You can work it out looking at the countdown at the top of the page.

I’m in?

It might be a bit late. I’ve got to learn SFML n’ stuff before the jam starts. Let’s just say I’m in anyway!

It’s all about the fun, right?

I’m in (first timer)

Hi everyone I will be participating in the next Ludum Dare (compo). The development process will be streamed on Twitch: http://www.twitch.tv/LaresYamoir

Have never used WordPress before so I still need to figure out how this all works. Thanks for reading and let’s have fun at LD!

I’m in!

Just here to say, “I’m in!”.

This will be my 6th Ludum Dare and I am excited for it.

I will be using:

  • Unity
  • Visual Studio
  • Gimp/Photoshop
  • LMMS/Audacity
  • BFXR/SFXR
  • cgMusic (or something similar if I feel the need)

I’m running on a fresh install of windows so hopefully I’m not missing any programs. Oh also I’ll be swapping out this mechanical keyboard with something less fatigue inducing.

This year I hope to improve two things: Better UX in my games that make them intuitive, and better looking art more geared towards my strengths.

What are you hoping to improve this year?

Good luck and have fun!

Reporting in to attempt my 8th Ludum Dare.

I’m going to try something different this time around and use Unreal. In the past I’ve always used my own open source game engine, The Frank Engine, but I’ve been learning Unreal for about a month and I think this will be a good exercise. I’m also going to try making it all in Blueprint, so no code either. This time I also want to make music, probably with Figure on iPhone.

Looking for one more

Looking for more more Dev to join our team for this next LD.
We’ve got:
Me – Leader and programmer/designer
Ginger – amazing artist

We need one more player to start our team. We are looking for either an artist (preferable 2D) or a programmer (we’re using either Unity w/C# or GameMaker)
