LuDm 52

Hi all, sorry if I've missed an obvious post somewhere, but any idea if we're still running the Extra category for LD52?
My team's all a little busier than usual so we were looking at going that way this time but can't see it for sure anywhere...
It's our second ever game jam and the first went great!
Half of the themes sound awesome to me, but I think it'll be fun regardless. I can't wait to destroy my sleep schedule this weekend and play all of your games! 😁
For those of you that missed LD51, here was our first jam game: https://housetrapdev.itch.io/bad-thoughts
Happy Jammin' 😎
Have participated to varying degrees in a couple over the years, keen to get something proper done this time however
Taking off of work to start on Friday and go for the compo. Very excited as this is something I've wanted to do for years, but work always got in the way. Best of luck everyone!
This will be my 33rd LD. My toolset:
I'll probably be using my Godot C# Library and possibly my Starfield Maker. Good luck everyone!
This will be my first jam! Can't wait to participate.
This jam decided to try to use more hardware:

From the left: Craft Synth 2.0 (since I got it a while back and used it twoce), Zoom H1 for field recording and Sony TCM-20DV voice recorder (that thing is a monster) for some cassette distortion and sound manipulation.
LD52 starts in a few hours and I think once again about what I'll use this time. My role is mostly sound design and music and every jam I try to use some kind of gear, software or process I haven't used much. I don't limit myself however, I usually try it out at first and if it works, I stick with it otherwise I find a different approach that works for the game.
Engine: Godot
DAW: Cubase 10
The hype is at its peak! We participate with the small team, we can't wait, there is a summer camp atmosphere. I can't wait for the following weeks to test all the jewels that the devs are going to offer :D
I asked ChatGPT to design a game about "Delivery" and the result is not that bad :)
In "Delivery Dash," you play as a delivery person trying to make as many deliveries as possible within a set time limit. The catch is that each delivery location is located in a different, increasingly complex maze-like level. To make matters more challenging, there are various obstacles and enemies scattered throughout the levels that you'll need to avoid or defeat in order to make your deliveries on time.
I haven't done one of these in ages, but I was reminded that these were still going through social media and decided it might be fun to give it another go. I am super rusty and didn't clear my schedule, so we'll see if it pans out, but I'm going to try at least. I will be using phaser with typescript, and I created an empty project template to use so I don't have to waste time on basic configuration and deployment stuff. That project is up on github for anyone to use if that sounds interesting to them.
With Ludum Dare in January, the weekend right before school starts (as opposed to during the quarter), I finally have some time to participate!

We will be jamming from Montaigu in France 🇫🇷
The fridge is full, the beer is fresh, can't wait to start.
Happy LD52 everyone !
Lol any guesses what the theme would be?
The moment you've all no doubt been waiting for is here.
The sequel to my last LD game Bunny is going places

Thanks to my 1337 h4ckz0rz skillz and the cutting edge technology I just developed, you can play the game right here, in the browser, in this post.
You assume the role of a rabbit laying on a couch at home. Press any (or no) key to keep laying on the couch. Ready? Go!

You went nowhere, and so you win. Congratulations! :trophy:
Game Engine:Unity Art:Pencil and Paper Music:Bosca Ceoil SFX:SFXR and Audacity IDE:Notepad++(because my pc doesn't support VS)
It is something special this time as it starts at 9 o clock here so my son can think with me about an idea. The last times he was in bed so we just brainstorm for every theme in the final round an idea.
And if we dont have a good idea ? ChatGPT haha.
This will be my 13th time in a row (if i make something).
So besides this - happy JAMMIN'.

Howdy! I’m Kirk Lindsay from the ‘USA’. I love creating and thinking about all sorts of games.
This LudumDare snuck up on me, so I'm entering last minute. We'll see how it goes! I started using a 'DAW' called FLStudio recently, so I might end up using that as well this time around, too.
