The Harvester XC3000 for the game *Shadow Harvester*
Mounted with a coil for defense and a shredder to harvest ;)

Check out my compo entry - a brain-eating rhythm puzzle game! Cute graphics, nice music, easy to understand gameplay. Harvest all brains from the level. But beware! Once you get a brain, the brain donor turns into another zombie. And it's naturally eager for all remaining brains so more humans you harvest, more competitors you have!

If you are stuck, there is also a playthrough on the game page:
Really enjoyed the process of this Jam. Shout-out to collaborators Fromage (@fromage), GrimPuppet (@grimpuppet), SARAHHHHHH (@sarahhhhhh), and Dustinseth (@dustinseth). Our team worked well together and I learned a bunch about Godot. Still chasing some bugs, but excited to hear feedback from the community.

Been a great jam, just uploading the game! Thanks to all of you!

Well... after many years of gamejaming... this is the first time I've failed to produce anything worth showing. Kinda expected it due to several reasons, but I hoped to have at least something. (I have a lot... but it's not working as a game, not just yet...). Extra category, here we go :)
FIRST TIME MAKING A GAME IN GODOT AND I DIDNT KNOW I HAD TO INSTALL THIS ITS GONNA TAKE A REALLY LONG TIME AND ALSO GONNA TAKE A WHILE TO UPLOAD THE GAME AFTER IT EXPORTS IM SO NERVOUS

What a journey!!!!
I usually develop in Unity but I have decided to challenge myself with Unreal engine C++.
Despite the challenges I really enjoyed creating this little game with two talentend artists that in my opinion did a wonderful job in creating the athmosphere we were looking for the game, if you like, please have a look at our Soul Harvester :)
PS second image is a bug that we encountered when we tried to load the rocking horse model

We patched some things, we balanced some numbers, and made stuff more amazing. Given the time left, we are pretty much calling this finished now.
Kobold Fishing is a GO!

Best of luck to you all and remember to have fun!
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH SO LITTLE TIIIIIIMMEEEEEEE
After a long time, I'm back with LD_Jam. I'm quite nervous when coming to this time all by myself. I'm struggling with unity and consume a lot of time on that. But finally, Make an Publish on time. The game itself is not polished enough and get lacks optimization. But it still keeps satisfying me. I will try harder next time.
Please try and leave me feedback.

The deadline is coming and wishes everyone doing well. I need to take some rest.

Stardew Valley was nice, but... inefficient, who needs shovels and hoes when you've got a COMBINE HARVESTER?!
I finished with some time to spare for once, got audio and sound in thanks to the wealth of creative commons works out there and can finally breathe and start looking at the wonderful submissions everyone else has put together :)
Made with: Godot 3.5.1, Aseprite, Tilesetter
Give it a go, and I hope to try out the fruits of your labour too! :D
(... the source is linked as well, for anyone curious, though I doubt there is much to learn by looking at it)

Well it was stressful but loads of fun. We got a game out there. I'm gutted I ran out of time to get Mouse & Keyboard controls working but for a first Ludlum Dare (and first Game Jam i've entered in 2 years) I'm happy.
I also worked with the amazing @ItsKristenEh who was doing her first jam! She's a Twitch streamer and will be playing other Jam games on stream so if you're interested check her out - https://www.twitch.tv/itskristeneh
Also a huge thank you to CromulentJesse, who is a Twitch streamer & Podcaster. He did the amazing (if I say so myself) voices for the baddies. https://www.twitch.tv/cromulentjesse
The story of the game is you're a Beaver whose dam is being attacked by other animals. They're harvesting (cheers) twigs and other stuff Beavers put in their dams for their own evil reasons. Thankfully you're a beaver who can fire lasers from its teeth, so you can defend a little. It's a very basic topdown shooter.
I cannot wait to play other people's games. This has been an amazing experience and makes me want to enter more Jams. Thanks to everyone who has a play of * Unhappy Beaver *

Aaaaahhh!!!
I was soooo clooose!! I just needed to finish the boss battle, but with 30 minutes I don't think I can, and the worst part is that that's all I need to do, but without it the game not only is un-winnable, is also totally unfinished D: Well, I will say that, for being the first time I do a Ludum Dare, I did ok, specially considering I'm doing all by my own and I missed half a day due to issues with the internet and some updates that messed up the workflow between LDtk and Gdevelop. Oh, and also, that I haven't use Gdevelop nor LDtk prior to this jam aaaaand, that I noticed the jam's starting date just the day before it started. All in all, I'm happy with the experience, but kinda down that I couldn't finish in time.
Well, I'm not gonna make it to the jam deadline. I technically have the core gameplay loop done, but it feels very unfinished and confusing.
I'm kinda proud of the progress I have made, though! For various reason, I wasn't able to spend a whole lot of time on the game this weekend, so I'm happy I got as much done as I have.
Plowing now has multiple stages. You have to type a number of additional words (randomly chosen from a list of related words) based on the size of the field in order to fully plow the field.
Fields will dry out after a while, and you have to tend them in order to keep the crops from getting too stressed (which reduces harvest score.) Tending also requires multiple words, depending on how dry the field is. If you let a field stay dry for too long, the crops will wither and you will lose points.
Harvesting now displays the number of points you gained from each plant harvested, and lowers the fertility of the field (although field fertility currently does nothing.)
Of course, I have plenty more ideas and things I want to implement, and lots of polish. I'm going to keep working for a while to see if I can come up with something that feels like an actual game. :)
This was our first Ludum Dare, and for me, my first game jam ever. It was a pleasure to work alongside such talented devs (@jackypark9852, @rogerw). As a music guy myself, I had no idea what was going on in the code, but it seemed like those long, long 72 hours really, really paid off!
Would love if y'all would give it a shot! We'd love to hear what you think, and we're looking forward to our next Ludum Dare!

With only 30 minutes left, it's finished! I'm so happy with how it turned out... Because it was the first time that I actually finished my first idea. I usually had to try two or three times before getting the right one, this time was straight to the point.
Now I'll go hit the gym and rest a bit. Oh, you can plan the game here if you want to:
FYI: Rootbound Rampage is a Roguelite game that you control a growing up plant and the enemies are the farmers trying to harvest you.
Missed Saturday but still managed to finish my game!
