Here's a pretty accurate transcript of the conversation we had Friday afternoon -
Alex: The theme is harvest.
Ellie: Okay, obviously we can't just do Farmville.
Alex: Obviously.
Ellie: But I don't want to spend all our time over-analyzing the theme.
Alex: Smart.
Ellie: What else could one harvest...
Alex: Organs?
Ellie: Organs.
And thus, we set out to make a game about organ harvest that wasn't actually too gross or upsetting. The game we ended up building is actually weirdly soothing? And honestly, super good edutainment about blood type compatibility.
Things we felt like experimenting with this time around... - Retro video game art - Using probability to determine outcomes, RPG-style - Lightweight but satisfying NPC dialogue - Procedural animation

I just barely managed to get this game in a playable state in time for the jam submission deadline, which I did not think I'd be able to do. Emphasis on "playable." This game about bugs is unsurprisingly quite buggy, but I don't have time to fix them right now because I have to go to work. Have fun with it while I'm gone!
