Ludum Dare 52 January 6–9, 2023

I'm in

Using Unity and stuff.

I want to create something with Rhythm and Music!

Going to use my own engine based on LibGDX to create something music based for the JAM.

Will generate some music using MuGen - The Music Generator (https://kodingnights.itch.io/mugen)

Plot Twist: I just realized LD52 is... Today!

And in just two hours. First time in a Ludum Dare, had a few other failures on Global Game Jam yet I think Going Solo is my Cup of Tea... that way I won't mess up anyone else's work.

Good Luck Everyone!

Happy to be back jamming again after missing out on the last LD. Looking forward to lots of hard work and then playing a ton of awesome games! Good luck to everyone!!!

Here's my current plan for my stack, but it's subject to change depending on what I come up with based on the theme.

Stack: Engine: Unity (likely DOTS) Language: C# Graphics: Sprite | Low Poly 3D Art: Gimp | Magica Voxel | Blender Audio: Bfxr + Audacity

Since we postin' tools

Either gonna be using unreal engine + blender + gimp fore something in VR

or Pico8 for something 2D

and there's absolutely no inbetween there. ha

In it, I am

I'm in for LD52 using my own lightweight JS library (https://github.com/mstrp2ez/LD52). It's a mix of code from many years and projects, new and old. Use at your own peril.

I'm also using asprite for gfx and some online synthesizer for audio.

Welcome to Ludum Dare, the global game development event where you'll have the chance to create a game from scratch in just 48 hours... or as we like to call it, "sleep deprivation: the game."

But seriously, Ludum Dare is all about pushing your creativity and technical skills to the limit and seeing what you can come up with in a short amount of time. It's kind of like a marathon, except instead of running 26.2 miles, you're coding for 48 hours straight. But don't worry, just make sure to have plenty of energy drinks and pizza to keep you fueled up.

Throughout the event, you'll have the opportunity to collaborate with other developers, get feedback on your work, and learn from your peers. Just try not to get too distracted by all the cute pixel art.

And remember, it's not about the final product; it's about the journey. So don't stress too much if your game doesn't end up being the next Fortnite. Just have fun and enjoy the process.

So let's get started! Make sure to take breaks, stay hydrated, and most importantly, enjoy the process. And if all else fails, just remember these wise words: "It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog."

Good luck everyone!

I am in

Let's see how it works, last few were mentally overwhelming at one point or another and I had to drop.

let's do this

finally got a free weekend to jam, let's do this

perfect time to explore unity 2021 outside of work

I'm in!

Same team as last LD +1!

As last time i'm gonna do the artwort and post a bit here and there :D

Software: Clip Studio Paint

Good luck and have fun!

Good luck everyone! :D

These Ludum Dare things always come much sooner than expected, don't they?

Here for my second Ludum Dare!

This will be my second Ludum Dare, and also my second game jam altogether. For LD51, I submitted Oasis Escape (https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/51/oasis-escape), a really sloppily put together 3D platformer, which was basically a practice run. This time, I'm hoping to create something a lot better.

My rules are the same as last time: I'm aiming for the Jam, but may end up submitting to the Extra if I fail to create something good enough on time. Although this time, the bar for "good enough" is a lot higher.

I already have an idea of what I'm going to create, but I won't be able to decide for sure until the theme is announced.

what do we mean by SALVAGE

Good luck!

I don't feel too confident as I don't have all the time I wish I had, but I'll figure something out. Good luck everyone! c:
