First try at the contest. Hope I do good. Im livestreaming it at my channel. I invite everyone to come and watch. Some chiptunes/8bit music will be playing for people to listen to if they would like. What I’m using:
I’m in!
My daughter Alma has turned 5 months now but she’s not yet ready to take care of herself, so I’ll be putting in ~8h a day on this. =)
Language: C#, Lua
IDE: Visual Studio
Libraries: XNA, Farseer(?) and my own entity framework
Graphics: Fireworks
Sound: as3sfxr
I tried a few mini-LDs a while ago and they went pretty rough. I’ve worked hard since then though practicing and getting much more familiar with my tools.
I’ll enter the JAM and maybe if I get it done early I’ll submit as a contest entry. Do the rules allow that?
My big stumbling block is generating content. I’m starting with that first this time around. I think I’ll sketch out a very simple game concept and then just blast into painting and playing around with music melodies.
Anyway, C++, Codeblocks/Mingw32, probably using Open Frameworks and GLFW. Maybe some Box2D.
EDIT: I’ll need to use some Portaudio and Ogg/Vorbis library code for audio playback and mixing. Link to the code is here
Kay, DPG is on the compo. This will be our first game as of now (not the first one we ever made, the 1st we made with this team), and we’ll try to make it properly polished, since there will be 5 dudes working on it.
MAH FRIGGIN TOOLS:
Not sure what they’ll use, this is just my toolbox. I just hope we can pull off something decent in time, and maybe even work more on it after the compo.
I’ll probably be participating in this Ludum Dare.
I shall use Flashdevelop with the Flixel library for coding, with graphicsgale for graphics.
I probably won’t do music.
For the first time!
Very excited about participating.
I will use:
C++ (Greatest programming language of them all!)
Allegro game library (not the current version)
My own map editor made in JS
Audacity
MS Paint
That’s it. Wish me good luck. Shall the best game developer win.
Hello everybody,
My pal and I are going to join in on the Game Jam. This will be our first time(I hope we get a decent theme.)
We are going to use C++ as our coding language along with OpenGL for rendering and SMFL for dealing with the window and input.
Good luck everybody else!
I’m in! I tried to participate in the last one of these, but real life engagements got in the way. This time, real life continues to rear its ugly head with a thing I have to go to, cutting my 48 hours down to 45. Still, I should hopefully be able to churn something out. I’ve never finished a game before, let alone in a weekend. I’ll be using Flashpunk and probably not sleeping enough.
Hi all. I hope you’ve all been doing well since LD22. I’ll be taking part again this month and looking forward to it immensely. As last year I will be posting updates every few hours on my devblog.

Stupidly ill! And also in. I missed the last Ludum Dare to go on a much needed holiday, but I’m good to go this time. I’ll be at a friend’s house competing, for that extra motivation. You can expect to see a timelapse, and I’ll be in the IRC.
Tools:
Let’s do this shit.
This is my second LD attempt. Last time I haven’t finished my game but this time I’m better prepared.
my tools:
Good luck and have fun to everyone!
hummm LD this weekend? Change all the plans! I am in, will be using HTML5/JavaScript and my HTML5 map editor and framework again. Graphics in GIMP and Blender. Sounds in LMMS.
Good Luck everyone and have a blast making some cool games!
Well… I’m in!
This will be first LD but i’ve followed it the last couple of times, so I have a rough idea of what i’m in for. I’ll be entering the Jam with one of my good friends doing some music for me. Really excited to see what the theme is, I’m wanting “evolution” at the moment.
Tools
Language: ActionScript
IDE: FlashDevelop
Libs: Flashpunk + PunkUI from the community
Music: My friend will most likely use FL studio
Graphics: Paint.NET with some photoshop for pretty effects
Good luck to everyone!
This is my first attempt at doing Ludum Dare so I’m sure I’m not going to be prepared properly. I’ll be recording a Time-Lapse because I hear that’s what the cool kids do and I will be on the IRC the entire time as well so I’ll be sure to say hello!
Tools:
Libraries:
Best of luck to everyone (I know for sure I’ll need it :P)
Hi everyone!
This will be my first LD
I’m very exited and nervous!
I will use :
– Unity,
– Blender (not too much),
– Paint.NET,
– sfxr,
– FL Studio (maybe, if I have enough time ^^”)
Good luck all !
Here’s a small personal code-base I’ll likely be using! It’s a super simple text-based adventure engine using Curses. First real python project! Yay! Also, first LD I’ll be entering in. Double yay?
I love Ludum dare and I’d like to enter with a roguelike game, made with Java, Eclipse and AsciiPanel (https://github.com/trystan/AsciiPanel).
I have a small code base, following my tutorial (see my blog http://randomtower.blogspot.it/search/label/rougelike%20tutorial) and no graphics, obviously.
Oohkay, so the stars are perfectly aligned against me this LD, heh. Long story short, I’m occupied during the weekend and I’ll only have a stable internet connection 4 hours after the compo’s over. I might have to jam and not be able to participate in the social side of things, but I’m going to make a game regardless.

My first Ludum Dare, the majority of Saturday morning missing, a laggy computer and very little experience programming games. What could possibly go wrong?
So yeah, I’m Hunter X and this is my first Ludum Dare. I’m mostly here as an opportunity to practice my programming skills (I’ve developed a number of small programs either as personal projects or private commissions, but never anything major), as well as to see what it’s like to take part in one of these competitions. I’ll be using C# and XNA for my project (unless I miraculously learn Java in the next 3 days), with either Paint or Photoshop as my image editor depending on what I end up making.
If I actually get anything off the ground I’ll be sure to post about it, but having seen some of the entries in the past I’m doubtful I’ll get anywhere near them on my first try. Still, all experience is good experience, right?
