Hi,
We took part in the Jam with a team of two for this LD
Our game is Operation Garden Storm, which is a top down shooter where you play as a small gnome character and have to reach the creator to save your village, there are beetle enemies on the way which you have to kill / avoid.

What went well----------
Well we finished the game which I didn't think we would at one point
Our theme idea was fun, I haven't seen many games with a similar looking idea
I was happy with how the beetle enemies turned out probably the most polished looking asset in our game
We learned a lot of new things and had fun!
What could have gone better--------------
Well the game was way too big... Which is ironic and the theme was small world. I never seem to learn and cant stop making games which are too big for a weekend
Wish I had spent more time on the character animation, I had to refresh my memory on both maya and animating, and the animation turned out pretty bad for the player.
The game was pretty bland and basic, we should have focused more on an original mechanic
The soundtrack was poor, but I spent 30 mins on it and have never done sound, so I wish I had the time to focus on that more.
Plan the map better
Overall im happy we finished the game, as I ran into so many problems with the AI, Its probably the worst of our games mechanically, but I learned a lot about AI, optimization, and rigging / animating and had fun.
