I’m in too
My first (real) LD! I’m thinking I’d like to make something in Javascript, but since I don’t know where to host stuff, I’ll probably end up using Scratch instead.

NOTE: Several of the features mentioned in this post are unavailable or disabled at the time of this writing. They should become available soon. I'm posting this early, so it comes after the welcome post.
:rightfacingfist::leftfacingfist:
To make a team, each member of your team should create an account here on ldjam.com. To create an account, click the Create Account button at the top of the page.
Once each of you have accounts, the next step is to become friends (ahem, on the website). To do that, you need to visit each other's user pages, and follow each other. You can access your own user page by clicking the "person" button in the top-right corner of the screen (That's your avatar, at least, until image uploading works).
Once you both follow each other, the blue Following button on your team-members user page will become a green Friend button.
You might need to refresh (bug), but if you see that, you did it correctly. Good job.
NOTE: This feature is not yet enabled.
The next step is to have one of your team members click the Join Event button at the top of the page, and create a game.
You now have a button that links to your Game Page. Click that.
NOTE: This feature is not yet enabled.
Under the Editing Toolbar, click "Add Team Member". Select a team member and click Add. Repeat for each team members.
Now as a Team Member, it's your turn to click the Join Event button. You should see the invitation to join the team on the popup.
NOTE: This feature is not yet enabled.
If you made your own Game Page, and wish to join a team instead, visit the Event Page and click the Join Team button.

For now, I would recommend picking one of your team to be the one that edits the Game Page. It should work for everyone, but I can't guarentee you wont accidentially overwrite each others work (yet). If you do decide to take turns editing, be sure to confirm that no one else on your team is editing, and reload the page (bugs).
~~## Making Progress Posts~~

~~Now that you are part of a team, you can click the Pencil icon to make a post. It will ask you where you want to post to. Choose "Ludum Dare 37".~~
And that's it.
I’m BACK! Decided to try LD37 for fun.
Language: Shell script, C and mostly command line stuff
Tools: Linux operating system (I’m gonna modify the operating system to create a hacking game)
This is gonna be interesting…
:astonished: Hey everybody!
Final Round Theme Voting is live! Head over here to cast your vote:

Ha, it's almost a website.
Many of the features you'd expect probably don't work yet. Why run an event at all with an unfinished website? Well, there's nothing quite like a deadline to get things done, am-i-rite? Have you heard of this thing called Ludum Dare?
I'd recommend reading some of the later posts to get a better idea of what's going on, and what to expect. It wont be pretty, and it's already been a little rough, but it's getting there one commit at a time.
But before I move on, I need to give a shoutout to @stormburpee. It's thanks to him we the nice fancy countdown clock. The clock was also the first major contribution to the Ludum Dare open source project on GitHub. That's not to say the Toolchain is ready for prime time. The things he had to deal with are pretty nuts. But things are starting to get things cleared up. Right now, focus on game making. You can join me doing website making another day. :sunglasses:
Finally! I originally promised @sheepolution he'd get to do the August Ludum Dare keynote, but it didn't seem fair to impose my promise on those that ran the August event. But now that I have returned, it's time to make things right. It's kenote time!

That's it for now. We'll see you Friday.
Hey, i’m a chiptune composer/producer, but i can also switch styles a bit to fit other members of a team.
I’m looking for a team to join, since games without code and art are pretty rare. I’d gladly help you with your game idea, and maybe even make it even better with my ideas/music/sfx.

GL&HF all
that’s right, I’m in. Maybe, depending on the theme. This time going solo. Pretty busy weekend so probably won’t have as much time as I want to work on it, and i’ll be on a laptop for the majority of it, so yea. Pretty much same tools as last time: DLang, my personal engine, and Spacemacs. Probably just going to whip up some font and use it as I’m not good at art.

I’m returning again for my second LD. It’s been 2 years since my first run and I’m excited to try again!
Tools: Construct2, GIMP. Still deciding on what to do for sound (last time I just recorded my 8-year-old daughter making the sound effects).
This time around I’m going to go for the solo. LD37 will be my 9th attempt overall and my 4th attempt at solo. I will have my apartment to myself for most of Saturday and Sunday, so I will be able to focus on the code frenzy that is Ludum Dare! Last time around I gave up pretty quick due to time constraints and some frustration with the theme. To prevent any theme mishaps this time around I want to come up with at least 2 or 3 ‘ideas’ for each of the 16 potential themes before the announcement tomorrow evening.
I will be running with:
Good Luck & Have fun!
Busy weekend with lots of other appointments but I’ll try to do at least an 8-hour game or something.

Just realized this was happening again! Move over old weekend plans cause LD48 is in town!
Personal Goals.
Stuff
Engine: Unity or Construct 2 … maybe Gamemaker
Software: Photoshop, Blender, Garageband … I’m forgetting stuff
Tools. Wacom & Food(I really like food)
I’ve had a bad track record. Looking to reverse my ratio of I’m in to completed jams.
Cheers & good luck everyone!
Tags: #ld37 #37
engine: Unity
art : Gimp
sounds: bfxr
Main goals : good looking menus, Sounds

I’m always up for a good Ludum Dare, but lately I’m more interested in teaming up with others (working by yourself can only get you so far). My current Ludum Dare record stands at 3-for-3. I’ve completed 3 events (which can be found here: Shameless Plug) and attempted 3 which didn’t go anywhere due to familial obligations preventing me from finishing, partners dropping out or fatigue from daily work taking its toll.
Programming is what I’m best at, so if there are any 2D artists out there interested in joining up with someone, hit me up. I’ll use my normal range of tools of Java and libgdx.
After a LOT of time since my first participation (August ’13), I’m ready (and I have enough free time) to return to the adventure! 😀
So the tools (all for fun!):
Language: LUA
Engine: Love2D
Graphics: Pixelmator + free resources
Sounds: Garageband + free resources
And that’s it! Can’t wait to start! 😛

I’m in. Haven’t done it for a while. Since I’m working that weekend too, I’m using GameMaker for speed of development.
So I’m back I guess for my third solo entry and my fourth entry overall.
This is a crazy busy week for me (I’m moving soon and I have a lot of freelance work to
finish) but I’ve been improving my game-making abilities lately, so hopefully I can find the time.
Tools:
My goals for this Compo:
My third Ludum Dare! I will be using Unity (c#), Paint.NET, Audacity, BoscaCeoil, and probably something else to solve a problem I have yet to encounter.
Hi! I’m a composer and sound designer willing to participate of the upcoming jam. If you need some music and SFX maybe we can work together.

See ya in the jam.
I’m in with my coffee and stuff !
GL everybody !
I’m ready to roll out with another game.
Good luck everyone!
