Ludum Dare 45 October 4–7, 2019

I'm In Again!

I'm in for my 9th(!) Ludum Dare, and I'm just as excited as ever. This time, I'm aiming to get above 3.5 in Overall, I've gotten close many times but never quite gotten there. Anyways, here are my theme suggestions:

  • Time is relative
  • Animals and humans living in harmony
  • Less is more

Good luck to everyone, I'll see you again when the slaughter starts!

I'm in for Compo 11th time in a row

At this point, I just don't want to break the streak.

I hope for this Ludum Dare to be as good as ever. Good luck everyone!

I may make a board game this time around.

The old-new game made by Gelgavish !

Not long ago my friend @gelgavish made a demake of our game from the last game jam that called "Electrocuted". The levels of the game based on the original game. The music also made by me! I highly recommend you trying that new-old game!

Worlder Project

Ok so I had this idea, for an open world exploration game in space. and basically you're in this universe referred to as "The Pandora" its basically just an alternate universe. So inside the pandora it goes like this.

[Universe > Vector > Galaxy > Star system > Planet] So your character a little space man which I haven't designed but I have an idea in my head has a grappler to go from planet to planet. now I know its a key factor but I have not decided on 2d or 3d yet. his grappler has a red button and upon being pressed it turns into a weapon, so you may fight enemies. Now this is just the initial idea I have not started working on it yet but im looking for; Coders,Artists,Music etc there will be a link to the discord down below if you are interested. and here is some first look stuff at the project.worlderconcept1.pngworlderconcept2.pngworlderconcept3.png

Looking forward to the slaughter :)

Music/audio composer looking to join a team

Hello everyone! I am a music producer/composer looking to join a team for LD45 and build my portfolio. I have produced music for film, tv, commercials, and recently videogames.

You can check out my last Ludum Dare entry here: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/44/elevator-pitch

You can also check out my itch page with other game soundtracks I've produced here: https://amerigo.itch.io/

I'm in, despite being on the verge of getting kicked out of uni! (Also, MiniJam)

So yeah, I might get kicked out of Uni next month.. but that's not important right now! Here are my theme suggestions thus far: ld45emtheme/emsuggestions.png

And here is BreakFall, a game I just made for Mini Jam 36! It's a short relaxing platformer about a drop of dew and trees.

Anyways, I want to participate in more game jams alongside working on Animancy, and I'm really looking forward to LD 45! (And not really looking forward to turning in my overdue uni assignments lol)

Theme Suggested

This is my first game jam.Screenshot_20190909-223856~2.png

One Theme, Two Theme, Red Theme, Blue Theme

I quite enjoy suggesting themes. Always a challenge to find ones that are open enough to be interpreted in a multitude of ways, but at the same time limiting enough to spur creativity.

LD45_Themes.png

I tried to cover as many of the major types of themes as possible. Broken Hearts covers the literary type themes, Minimal Controls covers the gameplay type themes, and Bigger is better covers the bit of overlap between gameplay and literary themes. I went ahead and avoided putting in a setting theme because there is always like 500 of them in the slaughter (looking at you floating islands!)

I'll attempt to join, suggestions have been made.

After 2 years I'm going to try my hand at Ludum Dare again. My previous (jam) entries were collaborations, but this time I'm planning on participating in the jam alone. While I would love to once again do a collaboration, the reason for going solo this time is that I've been dealing with 'life' in the past 1.5 years. That means I have barely done any programming in that period of time, even though I used to be a professional software engineer. I'm going to use LD45 to see if I still 'got it', as a practice project, and I don't want to hold back a teammate with what will probably be low productivity on my end.

To be honest I don't expect to think of a fun game or to finish one, but I'm going to try nonetheless. At the very least I'll get to enjoy the experience of an active community of people with a similar passion for game development, which has always been a pleasure in the past.

Anyway, I've seen people post their suggestions, so here are mine: MyThemeSuggestionsSmall.png

Looking forward to LD45!

First jam and suggestions

I've never participated in a game jam, so we'll see if I manage to get something done.

Here's my suggestions:

:bulb: Who are you?

Greetings and Themes

Hello! I’m new to game developing, like totally new — right now in the middle of getting-started-with-Unity course. First time I learned there was a challenge like LD I immediately wanted to participate. So, hello to everybody, let’s have a good experience together! Here are themes that I suggested:990D395E-9DD6-4636-B5D4-4546475766E3.jpeg

I'm invited saturday in family, but as almost every LD I have no clear idea before saturday night, it will not prevent me to do this one.

Oh, and here's my suggestions :
suggestions
- not as good as my previous "side effects", but I have for personnal rule to not suggest any of my previous proposals (I guess if it's stills a good one, someone else will suggest it again)

I'm in

This is my 2nd time in LD, im so excited to be here again.

Good Luck

We're in

This is my 3rd ludum dare and my 2 teammates 2nd so it is going to be a great experience.

Randomness

Hi, I hope everyone is hyped for some good old Ludum Dare =)

I will definitely be participating in this Game Jam.

Anyways, I made some researches for those who are interested in computer science and you can learn all about it in my GitHub: https://github.com/KorioKin

The project "Randomness" shows how computer engineering works out random functions. Functions that you can use in your next game, here on Ludum Dare ;)

You can check the project here: https://github.com/KorioKin/Randomness

Thank you for your attention and I hope you do well in your studies =D

I'm in for LD45 - Revamping my LD43 entry

With LD45 approaching, I started revamping my LD43 entry to make it more mobile friendly and using graphics from Kenney.nl

In the mean time, you can play the original here: https://lilou-cormic.itch.io/cant-save-them-all

Looking for somebody for a special collaboration

Hi everyone!

I'm looking for somebody for a special collaboration.

I'd like to make devlog videos of my current project and future projects of mine. The only thing is, I don't have a proper microphone, and my english doesn't sound perfect.

That's why I'm looking for somebody to do the voice-over in my devlog videos. After I send you the text, the task is to record yourself while reading the text, and send the recording back at me. Therefore, you should have a proper microphone and be comfortable in English to team up with me.

Of course, work has to be paid, right? But it's not about working, it's about collaborating. That is, I don't want to pay someone to do the voice-over. However, since I'm a game designer/programmer/artist (using mostly Unity, C#, Inkscape, Blender), I could help you in some way in your own project in exchange. I can make some artwork, I can write a piece of code for you, and I can also do video editing. I can also be a teacher if you're new to game dev. There must be something I can do for you! (Ask me and I'll tell you if I can do it.)

All in all, I'm looking for someone to team up with me, so that you help me, and I help you. Is that a deal?

If anyone is interested, or know someone that might be interested, please reply to this message.

Thank you!

I'm in

this is my 2nd time in ludum dare, i hope make a better game than the last time, i had to pause my learning but i'm here again. :v:
