LD 39 July 28–31, 2017

Let's try another one

I think 2-nd entery will be better then first and even if it wouldn't, it still will be fun to try. here is some stuff that i will use:

-GameMakerStudio 1.4(the best choise for me) -Paint.net -Fl studio and synthesizer for making music(if we can call mess that i make when sleeping on piano) -Coffe, tea, redbull or other drink, any food that can fit in my table, some lazy friends who will criticize me, my working chair which will eat all food and drink all redbull when i accidentally fall asleep, some weird things in house that can help with reccording sounds and so on... -some other stuff that i have but don't use

I have some ideas for implementation and hope that i can make something good good luck everyone, let's make something awesome!

and if i misspelled something it's because english isn't my first language

I'm in!

I'm hoping to set aside a weekend of university work to try something for this LD! I think it's justified since my course is in games programming

I'll be using PICO-8 or Unity, depending on the idea. It'll be a nice break from using Unreal which I'm using for school right now

Good luck!

First Attempt to pixel art (Also I'm in for LD39 Compo)

Hi, I wanted to show case my first attempt to make pixel art. This was done using aseprite, a fun little tool to create pixel art

worker.PNG

Also, I wanted to take this moment to ask the following: Do we have to make literally everything during the event? The rules states "You’re free to start with any base-code you may have." For example, the pixel art I just made, is this fine? Or is this strictly restricted to code only? This is my first event so I just want to make sure I get this right.

Furthermore, here is a little bit about my entry:

Looking forward to participate in this event!

Im making my own youtube commenter (YouBot)

Im nearly finished making my own youtube commenter. I just need to add icons for the buttons and maybe do some testing... If you like it then subscribe: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCjd_DY1LawVuZuLteDbVabQ

I almost forgot my I'm in post!!!

I've been in since LD 30, and hope to never stop!

I'm in for the 10th time in a row! I'm hitting double digits already.

Just like last time I will be using:

Language and Library: Java Swing

Graphics: Paint.NET, Piskel, maybe Inkscape and Synfig

Music: LMMS, maybe Abundant Music or Bosca Ceoil. Depends on how much time I have left

SFX: Might use SFXR if I have time or just Audacity.

Can't wait!

First LD - Any tips?

This will be my first LD, any tips for completing it succesfully? :grinning:

Looking for a programmer

Hey, I'm a game developer mostly interested in programming and art.

Here is a portfolio I've quickly put together: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1asHnKiiw2UhOwD6apkiMHj3knFCj0iCmbcWi-VyTJyI/edit?usp=sharing

In LD39 I'd like to focus on art and level design, so I'm looking for someone who would take care of programming part.

If you can program a game from start to finish with all the UI, player and camera movement animation etc and you completed at least one project, then you are the right person.

You can contact me using the email at the end of the portfolio.

I'm in too!

First time participating. I think I'll try and learn some Unity.

Participating

It's been a while, but I think I"ll participate again.

I'm either going to use my usual C++/SFML combo (along with my base code) or try doing it this time with C#/MonoGame (and probably MonoGame.Extended). I could also take this time to learn Unreal Engine some, but I think I'd rather get a nice project made.

Using : Engine - Unity 5.6 Art - Pyxel Edit Sound Effects - Audacity Music - LMMS

LD39

Hope this LD goes smoother than the last one.

Tools: Unity3D GIMP (Maybe aseprite) Unknown for sound, can't quite seem to find a tool that I can reliably use with success.

I hope to make a leaderboard for this one and go back to more of an arcade style. Small goals, more focus on fun gameplay.

I'm in.

Yeah, hopefully things go soother this time around.

Will be using Gamemaker: Studio 1.4, gimp, and probably Audacity and a good ol microphone for sound.
