Second time joining Ludum Dare. This time I'll be in the jam with a friend though.
Very excited to do this again!
I am thinking about creating a series of YouTube videos showcasing a few Post-Compo Ludum Dare games which were improved beyond bug fixes. If you have a game, from any of the past Ludum Dare events that fits this description, consider entering it here! Thank you.
Very excited to participate as its first time!
Soo yeah,
All the best to all cool dudes out there participating in LD 39 Compo and Jam!:grinning:

I'm very excited for this Ludum Dare. Last time I participated, I finished my game but forgot to submit it(go figure). This is going to be my 4th time participating.
Stuff I'll use: - SFML - Sfxr - Gimp - My small amount of music making skill
I'll be sure to stream the event on Twitch
I'm in with only 13 days to go, I am looking forward to the theme voting rounds :grinning:.
I have been doing a lot of coding, so I am hoping for a particularly good one. I am also mentally prepared to try and work much harder than I have before.
I have not really decided what to use yet, but here is a preliminary list: - Visual Studio 2017: As a C++ IDE - Direct3D 11 or OpenGL 3.3: As a way of utilizing graphics hardware (if I decide to go 3D) - Direct2D if I decide to go 2D - Photoshop: as a very expensive way of drawing bad art. - FamiTracker: as a 8-bit sequencer, I might not get round to music though. - SFXR: for simple but effective sounds - Autodesk Maya, Student Version: For producing .obj models, that will be processed by software that I have written. - Coffee: As a way of staying awake, and because it tastes good. - Coffee Machine: As a way of making the coffee mentioned above. - Computer: As a way of doing all of the above - Sandwich Toaster...
Good luck to all during the event :yum:
Ned.
Previously I've worked with a team but I'll be trying to enter the compo this time.
First post here ! :) Gonna be the first time I'm realy enter it since the previous time i was just landing some external help But Still not sure if i'm realy gonna enter it , will depend on theme ^^
If i'm in, stuff i'm gonna use :
Unity - for the game engine Visual Studio - using c# and GLSL Maya - for 3D modeling Photoshop - for texture / image work
Good luck to all !
I and a friend will try to participate for the first time, even if we're not really prepared.
We are using Unity and Gimp and I don't even know what we'll use for music.
Good luck to all!
Hey there, Ludum Darers!
I’m a software developer, willing to use Unity3D for the Ludum Dare 39.
This time, I’m willing to work in a team with complete strangers (leaving my comfort zone a.k.a working with my friends and trying to meet new friends here).
So, what crew I need for my ship? Argg!
So let’s set sail towards LD39!
If you want to contact me, I’m available on Discord (@KingSolomon#8565), I can be reached by Email (yotam.salmon@gmail.com) or here in the comments!
Have a great jam!
Argg, Ludum Darers!
I’m a programmer, willing to use Unity3D for the Ludum Dare 39 (my 3rd Ludum Dare XD).

Im new at this. My main focus will be to finish a game and not to suck big time. I hope to make a simple game with the theme to make it at the very least funny to look at.
I'd be interested to possibly work with others on a project! I'm primarily a programmer but have a little bit of background in most other areas other than sound design and music. Hit me up on Discord if you're interested! Rernokk#4523
First Ludum Dare ever, I have a little bit of experience with game making but quite a lot with programming in general so it will be interesting to see how it all works out. I will be entering the compo and try to keep it simple as time management will surely be an issue in my case. Here's the tools I might or might not use depending on the theme and my personal feeling on the day of the event: - Game Engine: *Construct 2 *or Unity and C# by extension - *Graphics: *Paint.net, Photoshop CS6 and Gimp - *Sound and music: *Audacity, SFXR and Logic Pro X if I have time - *Fuel: *Lots of caffeine
Might also go full on retro and use only either C++ or Java, I am also planning on keeping the game in a 2D scale since I'm not comfortable with 3D animation and rendering. Good luck to everyone!
Urr... mah... gurrd... I can't even.
Another LD around the bend and I finally get to participate.
Good luck everybody and have fun :)
Feeling incredibly enthusiastic! Really hoping to up my 'game' this time around~ (see what I did there?) In addition I would also like to commit some time to music and sound, as well as make something a tad more original.
Will probably be using the following tools:
And undoubtedly some caffeine!
Good luck everyone!! ˭̡̞(◞⁎˃ᆺ˂)◞*✰
the last 2 times (my first 2 times) submition was pretty messy. but the site now prooved working.
"IM IN"
lets have fun!
my toolset

(btw full release of my last ld38 game concept will be hitting soon stay tuned!)
Hello guys. I know IRC is the main choice and all but since LD36 we have been growing a Ludum Dare discord and I though I'd share here.
So why discord?
Its better looking, very easy to use, more thing to do/ use, and you can easily share images, files, etc without going through an external file host/ image host.
We always have fun every discord with fun challenges fun role system during LD for you to move up. and a lot of people to help you with questions and share opinions.
We have a Ludum Dare bot where you can check the time till the next LD so you wont miss it! and a snail racing bot that is near and dear to me its my baby and super fun.
We also always start the Google DOC for sharing ideas that eventually makes it way to everyone but the discord sees it first as well as a section in the server to share ideas and showcase your work.
I hope you will come by and join us for this Ludum Dare and more to come.
Here is a link to the discord server.

(If you don't have a discord account make sure you make one then join!)
Sounds cool! I'll join later today when I get home.
This will be my 5th LD... looking forward to it!
My tools of choice:
Perhaps some iTunes, Coffee, Red Bull, and a bit of sleep as well
Hey everyone! I am hoping to (for the first time ever) participate in the upcoming LD39.
I do have one question: when the project is completed. where should I upload the game? (and source code)
My weapons of choice are as follows:
• GameMaker: Studio 1
• Asesprite (with paint.net as a backup)
• Bfxr
• Mixcraft Studio 7
(and if I do get around to music it will mostly be me completely free styling and making a fool of myself. (think bonus level in battle block theater))
Im not that too familiar in unity but I joined in ludumdare 37 and 38 compo. Also I want to join on a team cause I maybe a bit busy during these weekends and I still want to compete in the ludumdare. And, I thought to myself why not join on jam? So here I am. I have a youtube channela and a blog feel free to visit to get a quick summary
of the things I can and cannot do.
