Hello, this is the first time we are going to take part in Ludum Dare!
We are going to use this event as an learning experience as our goal is to make a game that actually playable.
Anyway, good luck and have fun to other participants. 😀
Tools
Engine : Unity
Art/ Visual : Paper, scanner, paint.net and GIMP
Sound/Audio: Audacity
Tags: jam, Ludum Dare
This is my warmup game and an attempt to beef up my own game engine.
I’ve done a few past LDs with Javascript, but those gruesome days are over. I’ve rewritten my engine in TypeScript and so far really loving the language.
Euskit – A minimalistic HTML5 framework for 2D games written in TypeScript
The engine is now publicly available at GitHub.
I’m in for LD 35!
This time I will use:
Language: Java
Engine : libGDX
Sounds: SFXR
Music: Not sure
Graphics: paint.net
When the Theme Voting Round began yesterday, there was some text at the top of the list claiming that the themes has been “sorted by popularity” but I can no longer see this text. Did I just imagine this? Can someone more in the know clear up if the Theme Voting rounds are simply randomly sorted or if the top of the list were the more popular themes during the Slaughter?
Thanks everyone and have a great LD35!!
I’m not MrDestructoid

This is my.. fourth (big) Ludum Dare, at least with the intent to finish. Last time I entered with a workmate. This time it’ll be hard mode, for a change.
I’ll be using my favorite games engine: Phaser
IDE/Editor will be Atom this time, as it has really good javascript features (sorry, Sublime)
Graphics with Pixaki, Sprite Something (both on iPad) or Pixen (Mac)
During the week before the compo I’ll be making a base template game (with no logic, just a few screens) that will allow me to use ES6 with Phaser. I’ll be sharing that with everyone once it’s good enough to publish.
I’m in.
Using HaxeFlixel/OpenFL, Photoshop, BFXR, and Bosca Ceoil.
Have Fun Everyone! 😀
Hello! Much has happened since my last LD.
As I mentioned before, I din’t participate in the competition in LD 34, because I already had uncompleted games for “Grow” and for “2 buttons” themes. So, I used LD34 weekend to complete them and submit to the PlayMarket.
Also I was so inspired by the idea of Game Jams, that became the organizer of the very first Global Game Jam in Ukraine. With the help of higher educational establishments in my city, Kirovograd, we had a great event: 78 participants, 14 games and 1k twitch views.
One of the games created during GGJ was mine (I managed to get 6 hours of work for the cost of sleepless night).
So, here is my Global Game Jam entry: Cloudy Shaman
Cloudy Shaman
In March I presented my LD33 game, Something Deep, at the first International Conference on Game Jams, Hackathons and Game Creation Events in Berkeley and got “Best in Showcase” award!
On the 12th of April we’ll be holding a local IT-conference and I’ll be speaking on my gamedev experience and give advice to the participants. I hope more developers from my city will Ludum Dare this time. I definitely will.
Also I’ll surely find the time to release my “Something Deep” game from LD33.
Anyway I only write two simple tactic game by JavaScript and pure DOM…
Language: Javascript
Graphics: Painter

Hi!
We are two devs, Céline & Zoé, from Nantes, France.
It will be certainly a Java game.

Hello! This will be my first time Ludum Daring, so my only real goal is to end up with something playable that’s vaguely game-like!
Tools:
Strong coffee
Cheap alcohol
Panic
Tears
Shame
Good luck everyone!
I’m going to be in again. I’m planning on using Unity to make a 2D game. I hope this will be the first time I finish without a partner. I’m using Ableton Live for music (I’m planning on making the music dynamic). I’ll use as minimalist graphics as possible.
Alright people save a seat for one more first time jammer!
I’ve been informed that showing off the tools/programs you intend to use is tradition so I’m stepping in armed with…
Unity-
Blender-
Gimp-
Audacity-
Renoise- (At least one is not so prevalent heh)
Good luck and happy dev’n all.
Compo here we go again.. good luck to all and happy coding, drawing, modeling, composing.. oh boy.. i need a bigger supply of coffee.

Hello people/other-semi-intelligent-lifeforms!
It’s been quite a while since I participated in Ludum Dare! According to the website, I’ve participated five times, but actually I should have participated six times. Last August some friends and I worked as a team for the first time and spent 2.5 days making a game before I realized we weren’t going to finish. So that was fun. Not really. I skipped last jam as well because it ran during the weekend before finals, but now I’m finally free again! I’ll be working alone again this time and entering the compo.
Tools:
Code: Unity – Wasn’t sure about this one. Usually I program my games in Java, but this time I think I want to focus more on the aesthetics so I’ll be using Unity to save time. C# for scripting.
Audio: FL Studio, Audacity, SFXR
Graphics: GIMP, Blender
Accessories: Pinot noir, cherry Bawls, instant curry
