I know ya’ll are gonna make some great games, so how about having some music to accompany ’em? Yeah? Yeah?! Yeahhh.
I’m a composer! And I’m looking for someone/a team to work with for this upcoming Ludum Dare. I should’ve done this when I first posted on here (doh!), but thanks to someone’s brilliant suggestion, my eyes have been opened and now I have the foresight to share a link to some of my work! I also work in Logic and use samples from East West, if that means anything to you guys x)
So! If you’re interested in working together, HIT ME UP…otherwise I’m probably just gonna skulk around and see if anyone else needs music > u >
So I think I’ll give it a second go. Last time I used C and my custom game engine (Kawaii Engine). This time I’ll do something faster:
This time I hope to actually produce Windows packages (Un*xen (including OS X) should work from the source release). I really hope that using a language more suitable to rapid prototyping will allow me to produce a better game this time.

Hey everybody, I plan to join Ludum Dare 35. This will be my fourth LD already, and my second compo! I use these tools:
Engine: Unity
Language: C#
Graphics: Blender, Gimp, Photoshop
Audio: LMMS, Audacity, SFXR
I’ll be making a timelapse of development, like my last LD. Stay up to date @PowerSparkGames, thanks for reading and good luck this LD!
After participating in MiniLD #64 as my first Game Jam i’m now in for the main event!
Greeting all I am in for the 5th time. I will be using Linux OS only this time Experimental Beta Unity 5.4 Blender 2.7 for 3D modeling, LMMS Linux Multimedia Studio sound and music, Gimp artwork.
This time I will still be working solo but plan to do the Jam. (Real Life) business stuff is going to limit my programming time to about so no 48 hr for me more like 4.8 hr this will be fun
I will not be streaming, but I plan to do a video recap after the weekend for YouTube.
Have fun all.
I was on the fence about it for the longest time, as I’m going to be out of town and arriving home very late on the Friday of Ludum Dare weekend, but I just can’t bring myself to sit Ludum Dare 35 out after the last one went so well.
My tools:
My standard disclaimer about reusing code from previous entries applies – in particular, my level loader may finally be clean enough to just snag whole hog. I also keep Aron Granberg’s A* library close at hand as it’s served me well.
Let’s do this!
This is incredible

My tools for Ludum Dare #35:
Engine: OpenGL/SDL
Language: C++
Graphics: Blender, GIMP, Aseprite.
Audio: Sunvox.
Our team is eager to start voting on the themes for Ludum Dare 35.
We’ve done 2 jams before, and are looking forward to our third event.
Hopefully we can continue to improve
This time one of devs will be taking a break since he will be graduating on April 23rd, so all programming will be done by Phoenix Smith this jam. Congratulations Paul and we will see you next time!
We are working to secure more teammates, but no matter what, this will be a great event.
Phoenix is going to try and Stream the event on his twitch channel, and we will be posting screenshots and updates on Ludum Dare and our Twitter during the event.
Happy Gaming everyone
Hey! Looks like Ludum Dare real-world meeting at Tech Valley Game Space (Troy, NY) is mentioned on Hackaday!
And to draw in the hardcore game programmers, a concurrent Ludum Dare game jam will be run by the Tech Valley Game Space, with interaction and collaboration between the AR/VR hackers and the programmers encouraged.

The time has come…to make games for the 35th tri-annual online game jam, Ludum Dare!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8rLma_1RPU8No experience in making games necessary! This is just a fun challenge for all of us, and often serves as an educational moment to learn how to work with deadlines. We will be going through game idea brainstorming and …
ALSO!
We will be streaming ourselves playing Ludum Dare games during the judging period this time! It’ll be on Tuesdays and Fridays every week, from 7:00 PM to midnight, EST. So stay tuned!
Ready for some Ludin’ Darin’!
As my warmup I announced a couple of game concepts at IndieDB right now!
And:
Hello all. I’m definitely in for the upcoming Ludum Dare. In fact, I never miss one… if you ignore all the ones I missed.
One of the Ludum Dare game jams I definitely did enter a few years ago was MLD47 with its theme “Humble Beginnings.” For this I created Fireworks, a remake of my first ever from-scratch game, which was a survival shmup (or dodge ’em up, I guess!) set in a fireworks display. Later, when I was moving into the realms of mobile development I ported this over into an APK, both to get a feel for the platform and so I had something to play on the train. It got the interest of a few people and my friends encouraged me to create a full version. So I did.
There are a lot of changes over the original game, especially when it comes to the amount of content. There are multiple levels with unique patterns, the patterns themselves are a lot more interesting, and collecting spent fireworks results in a chaining system. The different levels and skill-based time skips mean it hits a variety of difficulties but keeps the sessions quite small. Instead of the clock being a set target the game is now endless, but at key milestones (1, 2, 3 minutes) you unlock stars for opening additional levels… Hopefully there is a lot here to sate the bullet hell aficionado.
Wowsers.

I’m in once again, however I will unfortunately be unable to stream any of my game development this time around due to a strange work schedule that weekend. That also means I will have minimal time to create a game, but I should be able to pull off something again! Since I will not be streaming I will be doing a timelapse as well as constant twitter updates @CodeNMore!
I’ll be using my regular tools, likely Java with Eclipse, Paint.NET, BFXR, and who knows what else. Maybe I’ll switch on over to Love2D and try that out for a change and learning experience!
If I can pull myself away from Enter the Gungeon for long enough, I’m in for the Compo.
I’ll be using GameMaker:Studio, photoshop, SFXR, and Audacity.
Last time was a hoot, and I made one of my favorite entries. I also learned a ton about feel and feedback. Let’s make this time even better! (woo!)
I was just wondering if someone was going to add a Real World Gathering in California, I would love attend one. Favorite if you agree, comment if you have any information.

So in essence, you plug in a seed and set a whole bunch of settings, and it spits out a midi. I’m PRETTY sure this is compo legal, but I thought I’d see what you guys thought.
So. In for a penny, in for a compo.
I think I’ll be using Unity, and making a 2D game. I’ll probably use Paint.net for my sick, sick programmer art, and http://www.abundant-music.com/ for my music if I can confirm it’s compo legal. Anyway, looking forward to it!
