Pre-Ludum Dare Warm-ups / I’m In post

Hey guys! I’m in for my 7th times! Last Ludum Dare was amazing, and I placed #16 in Audio and #60 something in Mood… But I tanked all the other categories. My entry was solely based on the atmosphere, and this time around. I am not going to make the same mistake. I want to focus on making a simple, addictive, fun game that is enjoyable to play. My goals this LD, are top 10 in audio, top 100 in fun, and top 250 in overall.

I’m in.

In preparation for this upcoming Ludum Dare. I’ve been working on some new tracks and new style. I feel like I am finally at a skill level that I can place top 10 in audio. Listen to my new tracks here…

DAT.NOT.MY.GAME is here again!
This time we have a mascot – The Buckwheat Cat (‘Kot s Grechkoy‘ in Russian). Today he became a star of the local event #GameDevNSK.
Look for the catnews :)

Help me improve this game

I feel this game has a strong base, potential to become something that it isn’t.  Please play the game and answer the below google survey so that I could take your feedback and program it!  Don’t worry, it’s a short survey: only 2 questions, only one of which is required.

Thank you, Breno_M. I really wish others actually TOLD me if there were problems.

I’m In It Not Necessarily To Win It!

Blender – 3D Modeling

Paint.Net – Textures

Bfxr – Sounds

Chronolapse – Timelapsing the development

Can’t wait to see everything you guys create!

Hello….. Is it me you’re looking for?

Looking to join a team to create audio assets. Music and SFX

I’ve got some tunes posted here if you’d like a little taste

And this time it would be with Unity that i started learning 2 weeks ago.

It’s going to be a fun trainwreck

My kids and my exchange student and his sister are going to make a game.  This will be our 4th Ludume dare.  We are very excited.

The Rules Regarding Fonts?

Problem:

In a game made for the Ludum Dare Compo, what would the rules be regarding fonts? Because we must make everything in the game ourselves, so would we have to make every font in the game ourselves. Or would we need to use exclusively royalty free fonts. Or would we need to credit the author under a creative commons license?

Example:

Take for example, I had a pixel art platformer where I wanted to display the score in the top right. Because there is no pixel art style font built into windows, I would usually just download a font off Dafont, But for Ludum Dare Compo, I don’t know if I would have to make this font myself, or download a royalty free font or what?

P.S. Could you please provide a list of allowed fonts if possible.

Make sure you pick a font that all computers have.

You are not one, bro..

WE ALL WILL DIE from all this fan \0.o/

(ya, i am melancholiac)

gl&hf :3

Let’s do this!

I’m finally confident enough to produce a game quickly! I don’t think I’ll do the 48 hour, but the longer jam! Free time still hard to come by…

GLHF to all, and to all a good theme slaughter.

I’m In…maybe

Barring any horrible disasters, I *should* be participating in the next Jam.  Very likely I’ll be working alone, using Unity for the engine, with Blender for modeling, Gimp and Inkscape for texturing, as well as Audacity and Caustic 3 for sound and music design.

The aforementioned “Horrible Disasters” would include my computer exploding, being stuck in a car for most of the duration of the Jam, etc.

I’m in… Maybe. I mean, it’s my dad’s birthday so… But I’m in!

The Ludum Dare 35 it’s going down the DAY of my dad’s birthday party so I don’t know if I’ll actually submit a whole game this time. But I know I’ll do my best!

I don’t actually know what tools I’ll use but it’s probably going to be something like Unity, GameMaker: Studio or even Construct 2 cause it takes the least time to “program” the game so I can focus more on mechanics and that juicy game feel.

Super exited for this LD and, if my dad is ok with me missing some of his party, i’ll make the most out of it!

LET’S DO THIS!

Freamcoding at LD35

Hey guys, Fream here!

After taking part in 2 or 3 MLD I’ll be joining the 35 Ludum Dare.

Right now It’s not decided whether it’ll be the team jam or the solo competition, but I’m leaning towards the solo jam at the moment.

I’ll be definitely using the Unity engine, and probably Graphics Gale + Gimp for making the graphics, audio wise if I get lucky enough I’ll hook up an electric piano to the pc so I can record some things.

The whole process will be streamed as usual on: www.twitch.tv/freamcoding

Good luck to everyone who joins and I hope we all have as much as fun as I did during the MLD’s!
