Wish me luck!
This will be my second LD. This time I’ll try to keep it simple and add some sounds.
Setup:
I’m going super pro this time, going for two of the best tools I know of:
Unity (with WebGL target, so people will actually bother to try the game). Maybe just simple geometric shapes, so no art tool required. I don’t think I have the time to draw anything while trying to figure Unity out. I’ve never used Unity, so it might be pretty challenging to get anything submitted, but I felt it was high time to switch from Flash. I’m following this great free Unity tutorial in preparation.
For audio I’ll play with Ableton Live. My last entry was audio-only but did really well, which made me realize just how important that is. Ableton looks suuper confusing, but I’ve found it to actually be quite intuitive. It’s a bit like Buzz Machines used to be, allowing you to chain a lot of effects together in fun ways and can even do some melody generation with “arpeggiator” and other neat tools. It’s expensive, but has a free trial.

have been looking forward to this..my goals this time
good luck everybody

This is my third LD !
and my tools are:
ART: Photoshop or the GMS image editor.
CODE: GML.
SOUND: Flstudio + my bass + lo fi effects.
as always my little big companion by my side: Mocos ♥ (in english is “Snot” i think)… (my cat).
I had to miss the last 2 due to being out of town for work but it looks like I will be able to take part in this one!
Language / Engine: Most likely GameMaker for the speed.
Audio: SFXR or BFXR, autotracker.py, I don’t like autotracker that much so if I have time I will try to google something up.
Graphics: Paint.NET or Gimp
Second Ludlum Dare! The first one went great, and my Wife barely wanted to kill me after it was done!
Tools this time around are gonna be:
Hardware – MacBook (More mobile/flexible than my MB Pro)
Microphone – Blue Yeti (I did fully voiced dialog last time. Might do the same, or maybe just for SFX)
IDE – Unity (I do professional GameDev in Unity so…)
Editor – Visual Studio Code (No more Monodevelop!)
SFX – Live and bfxr
Music – Logic Pro X (I suck at music, just ask anyone who played my last game)
Sprites – AseSprite, Graphic, Photoshop
3D – Qubicle (I don’t know if I’m going to do 3D or 2D), Cheetah3D
Hi all,
I am an experienced music composer/sound designer, having worked on a couple of mobile games for Android/iOS. I would love to work with a team and contribute to creating the best gaming experience possible.
Please check out my music at www.soundcloud.com/nikhilkmusic or my website at www.NikhilKMusic.com to hear samples of my work.
Looking forward to meeting you all!
I’m actually starting to get somewhat experienced with this. Yeah! I have one problem though, I have not developed any games in a pretty long time. I have been busy working on some projects, some of them are related to games, some are not. But one of the projects I have been working on is a game engine that I can use for Ludum Dare competitions. Here is the github page. Unfortunately I have not been able to implement all the features yet so I have decided not to use that. I will be using these tools instead:
The next weekend is going to be really fun. Good luck to everyone!
All of you probably don’t recognize me, but I’m Masterfireheart. I participated in a few LDs/Mini LDs about a year ago, making music for several games before kinda moving on. I really liked the experiences I had then, so I’m going to try and get back into it! I’ll gladly help collab with anyone who needs someone making a few songs for their game
Someday I hope to get into game development as well so I can participate with my own ideas! But for now I still have fun writing tracks for others (and later remaking those tracks into something else) so hopefully this LD will be a great one to return to!
You can hear my (actually good) works on Bandcamp:
https://masterfireheart.bandcamp.com/music
and Spotify:
(I also do some art, if that’s a request :D)
Me and 2 of my close friends have decided to participate in the Jam 35!
Jake (me) – Programmer / Game Developer
Garen – 2D Artist (3D Modeling if needed)
Melissa – 2D Artist (Music if needed)
I participated in a previous dare as a solo and created “Sol Defender” which ranked #149th in the Jam (not bad I dont think)… Anyway, I had a lot of fun so I convinced my friends to join me this time! Should have nicer art and an overall cooler game to showoff at the end!
We will be using Unity for our engine, Photoshop for our artwork, and C# (Mono) for our code to make our game.
Looking forward to a fun time next weekend!
Its another Ludum Dare time!
I always love participating and I feel like I learn something new every time. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like I’ll have much time over the weekend but I will still try.
Since I didn’t really like my last entry that used Unity, I want to try again because Unity is very popular and it looks like it has a lot of potential if one can use it well.
I will also try using fellow Ludum Dare participant’s timelapse tool ProLapse for making a timelapse because they’re fun and I haven’t made one in a while.
Good luck everybody!
I’ll probably be using:

Heres my LD Wallpaper 😀
Download: https://www.mediafire.com/?h89m9pscsqkbod1
for the first Ludum Dare of 2016.
I’ve been lazy the last few months. I hope I didn’t get rusty.
Platform: Web
Language: Dart
Libs: dartemis and other stuff on pub if needed.
Base Code: some utilities to reduce the amount of boilerplate code I need to write
Graphics: Krita
Sound: Audacity
Good luck everyone and have fun!
I’m a long time web developer who just started trying to get into game development.
Luckily I have the whole week after off, so working for 72 hours straight is actually possible.
I’ll probably end up with some janky, half-baked thing that barely works (if it works at all), but I’ve always been really interested in these events and there’s no better time than the present.
I guess I need to spend the next week figuring out which JavaScript engine I like.
This ganna to be my first LD.
Tools in plan:
Engine: Unity
Code: Visual Studio
Sprite & Tile: Aseprite
Sound Effect: sfxr
Music: boscaceoil
Script & Design: Onenote, SAI
I’m looking forward to competing in LD 35!
First LD!
Going to work with GameMaker so I have enough time to finish the game.
Art will be difficult for me, but I’ll do what I can!
