I’ll be back

Hey everyone!
I’ll be taking part in Ludum Dare 35 and can’t wait. Hoping for a theme that’s awesome, but then that’s always what I hope for!
I will as per usual be using:
Here’s to an awesome Ludum Dare! This will be my 18th LD and I hope to try and post some photos…or photos of food during the jam. I’ll probably tweet a little more where you can find me @Catmoo
In my warmup game GitTheKraken I had one main issue with the project and that was Unity’s UI scaling. Before the main LD I wanted to put out a question for the community since a lot of people here use Unity.
How do you manage scaling for multiple resolutions, and how effective has it been?
I’ve tried to use the anchor points and adjusting where it bases the anchor from in relation to the screen, however it seems to always mess up on 1080p or lower than 1024×768. I managed to get the placement so it would fit everything in but it’s not truly in the locations I wanted it to. I’m interested to see what others have come up with as rebuilding 50 times is not fun.
I’ve been pushing my games out for the last 3 dares using the Unity web player, but with that now having limited support and going away, I decided to upgrade to Unity5 and try WebGL. However, that looks like it only just works in Firefox. At least couldn’t get it to work in Chrome and Opera. Just sits on the loading screen. I would have thought that with HTML5 and WebGL, the good thing would be that you don’t have to beg your user to download a plugin, and that it would just work smoothly. Anyone run into this before?
Okay, I’m not sure if I must write this post to get into compo. But anyways, I’m in and I’ve got my boys (C#, MonoGame/Bridge.NET) with me.
not sure how to join in but i guess saying ile join in is a good start
im in! i havent been making games or programing for long but sounds like fun
tools:
game maker studios
bfxr
This is my first LD and my first compo of any sort. Was directed here by a friend and really like what I’ve seen so far.
I will using about as basic of the languages possible and try to create a simple but nice design with:
HTML5/Canvas
jQuery
As for sound and music I know what I can do on my end with phone apps, but I’m not sure how I’ll port them exactly for the game.
The game will be completely web based or just a few files to download if necessary. I’m debating on how to live-cast or whether to stream development at all, but I’m definitely looking forward to this weekend!
Hey guys, this is the first game jam I’m taking part on.
I wrote a Flappy Bird clone using Love2D a while ago an really enjoyed creating a game.
For this LD I’ll be using the following tools:

I’ll probably go for a pixel art look for my game (though I’ve never messed with pixel art before, lol).
I intend to make my game for both Linux and Windows platforms.
First time participating in LD. Good luck everyone.
Tools:
First Ludum Dare. First game (kinda). Gotta try and make a real game for real people to play!
Plan to use:
Good Luck to everyone (myself included)!
Oh, man this is my first Ludum Dare. I’ve admired the compotition from afar for quite some time, but never participated.
Here’s to testing my work ethic. Hopefully my programmer art isn’t vomit inducing.
My tools are as follows:
First LD for me too, I’ll not be at home for this first one, so I’m not sure how much time I’ll be able to work, but I’ll give it a try!
I’ve been using Game Maker Studio for 9 years now! I should be able to release something decent.
Would love to have a graphist and a composer to be more efficient!
Since everyone seems to be doing this…
… Hello?
I’ll be (hopefully) participating in the jam with a friend, this is my first time in the Ludum dare but I have participated in a jam once before. I’m gonna be programming and my friend does art and the tools I’ll be using are as follows (hopefully):
Game maker, Audacity, Bfxr, Gimp… Mabey some other stuff.
Edit:
Seems like my friend is going to be busy so I’ll be by myself, in which case I will aim for the compo but if I can’t, I’ll do the jam.
This LD I will be going solo and participating in the compo (hopefully)
I’ll be using
Unity3D
GIMP
Bfxr
Best of luck to everyone else!
Hello,
I’ve finally found time to participate in Ludum Dare!
Although it’s tempting to use bare C++ with OpenGL, I’ll probably use some third-party engine ( Godot or Unity or Panda3D, not decided yet ). For graphics I’ll have my girlfriend help and for audio…I think I’ll have to make some procedural noises (I’m a little musically challenged :-P).
Good luck and have fun

Third Ludum Dare for me (previous entries Charge! and Squatchin’). I’m hoping this time around to be able to work on a 2D top-down shooter about robots, or space, or robots in space, Theme willing.
This jam I’ll probably be using:
I’ll be posting progress on twitter (@randomhuman) as soon as there’s anything interesting to see (or maybe before).
Good luck and good fun everybody!
That’s right, I’m in! It’s my 7th Ludum Dare, and I’m doing it differently this time. Instead of going with the old Java and OpenGL binding, I’m using a proper game engine, Unity! Haven’t used it much, but I think it will be fun.
Besides Unity I will be using Paint.NET for textures and sprites, maybe Blender (haven’t decided if I want 3D or not) and sfxr. Not sure if there will be any music.
Building a new team for 35 jam.
Plan on using unreal engine.. which none of has used yet, should be fun!
LD# 2, for me. The timing may be tight, but I should be able to squeeze something out this weekend.
Tools:
Zbrush
Blender
Substance Painter
Photoshop
Unity (with at least one plugin for game logic)
Audacity
And some good old fashioned pencil and paper, for brainstorming and such. I am looking forward to the challenge!
So I’ll try to participate if I have time. This will be my 4th LD competition (I’ll probably do the compo)
This time instead of using my crappy engine I’ll be using something that doesn’t suck – the Love2d engine/framework.
Usually I program in Java, so I thought I would try LibGDX, but I didn’t even get past setting it all up and just kinda ragequit. Meanwhile Love2d is pretty much as simple as it gets to set up. Though I’ve only dabbled in Lua for like a few days, but hopefully I won’t run into many problems during LD.
Anyway, without further ado, the tools:
Think that’s about it… I guess maybe I should look into some sort of level editors or something…
Welp, good luck all and have fun!
