LD35 April 15–18, 2016

I’m in for LD35

After having had a week off, I’ll be joining this LD, yay! Once again I’ll be making Windows, Linux and maybe Mac builds using Löve, working off my usual base code, which I’m in the process of upgrading a bit for this LD again.

Other tools will probably include BFXR for sound and Pyxel Edit for some pixel art, where needed. Should I have time for music, I’ll find something when it’s time.

Let’s have an awesome weekend, everybody!

your avater looks so nice~ 😀 i like it~

I’m in too

This is my first Ludum Dare  and im very excited about it and i will join the game Jam. I´m work as a lone wolf.

My Toolset for the LD 35:

  • Unity 5
  • Inkscape / Gimp
  • for the audio i will use the freeSFX.co.uk website
  • my brain 😉

I wish all of you a happy LD and a lot of fun.

In for the compo !.. Maybe

Hi guys and gals!

I’ve been jamming for ludum dare for some time now, and thoroughly loved it. This time I thought I’d go solo and see if I can manage a project on my own. I’ve mainly been programming, doing sounds and music, but I’m excited to try my hand at all the different aspects of video game design.

However…

I got loads of stuff to do, so I will wait until the last day to decide. We’ll see, but right now I feel like I could partecipate.

If I do, I’m thinking of doing everything in Processing! Processing is a cool environment for mainly visual applications, but it has some really simple sound functions too. A lot has to be done from scratch as far as I know, like collision checking and other stuff, but that’s entirely dependent on the game too. So:

Processing: Everything.

If not, I’ll probably use:

Unity 5: Game enginge

Reaper: Music and sound editing

Graphics? Don’t know 😀 Maybe Aseprite and Tiled, or just go programmatic with Vectrosity.

That’s it for this time. I hope to be able to partecipate and see you all here this weekend!

In It To Win it!

Heyo everyone, Hoping you all are having a great week, well its that time of the year again <3 Ludum dare 35 is here with loads of cool theme.
This Really feeds my creativity, Its my second time here last time was great fun i ranked overall in top 500.

Good luck everyone! Have a great One.
After all we all are here to learn and improve :)

Automagically Timelapse for OSX

A while ago, I did one post showing off the little script I create for timelapse on OSX.

I will repost the link here, cause I think that could be usefull for the upcoming LD.

Timelapse for Mac (OSX)

Drop me a msg, if you have questions.

I’m in!

I haven’t competed in a while, so I’m pretty stoked.

My last entry I believed I used Common Lisp and didn’t even release a binary because i couldn’t figure out how. I’m an idiot for trying to use Lisp when I had only just learned about it (or am I?) 😀

This time around I’ll either be using C#/Unity, or make a web-based game in javascript. Depends on the theme.

Good luck to all!

You guessed it! I’m IN!

Yup… I’m stoked for the upcoming weekend. Time to test my newly acquired skills and see what I can come up with for the Ludum Dare (compo… of course).

Tools of the Trade:

  • Unity
  • Photoshop/Gimp
  • Blender
  • Any other computer software that is needed to accomplish what I need
  • Too much unhealthy foods and drinks

I may go 2D this time around, as the last Ludum Dare I attempted (LD33… could not participate at 34), was a failure because I spent way too much time trying to do 3D graphics… and I’m not a graphics artist. Not even close.

Wish me luck!

And, I wish all of y’all good luck!

I’m in

I am in for my 4th Ludum Dare, and hopefully I will make something decent this time!

I will be using:

  • JavaScript (+ HTML5 Canvas)
  • Notepad++
  • Paint.NET

I’m in!!

After some thinking and planning everything out, I finally decided to participate. This fill be my fourth Ludum Dare. I have some great ideas that I could do. So my tools that I fill be using this time, they should be the same, but I fill still let you know.

  • Engine: Unity 3D
  • Coding: Visual Studio C#
  • Art: Blender and Photoshop
  • Audio: cgMusic, sfxr

Good luck to everyone and I hope everything goes as planned.

Use a webhoster like dropbox, just make an account and upload your game to it, once uploaded you can share the file (it gives you a link) and on the LD edit page, there are fields where you can put in links to each version of the game, from Windows to Linux.

If you are using Unity do a web version. You can use itch.io, I have and it works great! The easier you make it for people to play the game the more that will!

It’s so mysterious ++

I’m questioning the name XD

I’m… in?

I’m in! I’ll try to make something worthwhile or I’ll die trying (probably the later).

My tools of choice:

  • Intel XDK
  • Phaser framework
  • Tiled
  • Cosmigo ProMotion
  • AutoTileGen
  • Bfxr

I’m trying to learn how to use Godot Engine, but I fear I will spend too much time struggling with the IDE / language rather than programming. That said I’ll stick with what I know best: Javascript.

Wish me luck! :-)

I’m IN!!! probably

So it will be my third Ludum Dare, hope to keep up my proud tradition of making something I am vaguely proud of but shouldn’t be. My weapons of choice are

Sword – Unity 5
Shield – Paint.net/Krita
Armour – Beepbox or something else or whatever I have lost track of this metaphor
Planning – a note book of some kind, spirally rimmed, brown papery looking cover, £2.50 from paperchase, marked down

So what kind of prep have I done to get ready, well I have a little opening sting

MSLB

Hmmm Minty

and I made a prototype of what its like walking anywhere with a toddler which i would share with you but it is larger than 2MB gif :( but here click the link, it is less funny than you think it might be

Imagine Ico but 10 times more annoying and lasts about 3 minutes

In!

with webstorm, Phaser.io and «café carte noire»

We’re in!

THE LIONFOX IS HERE!!! Beware of the dangerous awesome dog called Champi and his mate. And the guy that… anyway. We’re in.

I’m in!

Took some work to factor it into my schedule, but I’m glad to say I’m participating in this weekend’s Ludum Dare! I haven’t done much gamedev lately, so I’m looking forward to it. As usual though, my goal is to have fun so I’ll take it easy and try not to overwork myself. See you guys tomorrow!

I’m in for the 48-hour compo. It will be glorious.

Game Engine: Unity5 in 2D
Language: C#
Editor: MonoDevelop
Base CodeSpewnity (just some random bits of code)
Version Control: Game Source
Graphics: Photoshop, FilterForge, possible Pixen
Sound: Audacity, Bfxr, Renoise w/VST plugins
The Hulk Promise: I won’t get you angry. I don’t like you when you’re angry.

Happy jamming!

Late to the party but, hey I’M IN

So totally forgot it was this weekend but, have somehow convinced the way with such short notice. Looking forward to the jam.

I’m In!

I’m in this time!  I wasn’t able to make it last year but hopefully I can this year.

Good luck to everyone!
