Interesting tool for broadcasting

Hello friends. I want to draw your attention to vmix. The tool is interesting because it is easy to learn and has great functionality . One of his great advantages is the capture of screens from the local network and displays them in the translation. This is very useful when working in a team. Tool paid, but there is a trial version .vmix

Enjoy

Im in

Hey guys i’m in.

I will be using:

  • My custom Java engine
  • Eclipse as my code editor
  • BFXR/SFXR
  • Beep box
  • Audacity

Hope to finish good luck to everyone.

Kind regards

James.

I’m in!

I’ve spent this year getting to grips with C and C++. I’m in for the compo.

Tools I’m planning on using:

  • cl.exe on windows, gcc on linux.
  • gvim, git, bash, cmd.exe
  • aseprite, paint.net
  • famitracker, bfxr, audacity
  • SDL2 (including extensions and dependencies)
  • Luajit (if needed, likely just for config files)
  • Possibly chipmunk physics, if I need it.
  • Possibly some of the stb libraries or similar
  • Some fonts? Terminus, DejaVu, etc.
  • Some code to help me set-up faster.

I’m in it for the 4th time…I think? :P

LD starts for me @ 10pm on Friday, BUT Saturday I’ll be off for the whole day, so I’ll have to crunch things a little bit this time.

Still, I hope I’ll be able to make something for this LD (as long as I can work something for the theme)!

My tools of choice, this time, will probably be:

  • Engine: Clickteam Fusion/GameMaker (because of time);
  • Graphics: PyxelEdit, Photoshop, Inchworm (Nintendo DSi) or Pixly (on Android);
  • Audio: FL Studio (as always) and might use some Ampkit on the iPad for guitars;

I hope we can have even more fun this time!

Good luck everyone! :)

I’m in !!! Again !

Hi Ludum Dare guys. I’m in again for my 3rd entry.

I will use tools I have placed in my bag :

  • Netbeans ( Java code )
  • Photoshop ( GFX ) with my new Wacom tablet
  • Bfxr, Audacity and potentially LMMS and Beepbox ( SFX )
  • Sheets, pencils ( Drafts )
  • Coffee, Tea, Pizzas for brain fuel…
  • Github for deposit and share the final game ( If I have finished ! xd )

I will be live tweets and live post facebook for achievements during the event.

And new in 2016. I have decided to stream on my new twitch channel.

And to finish, I want to deliver this message : “Good luck to all the participants and enjoy ourselves” :)

Que bueno! I moved in to Alicante 11months ago, and will be here for the jam.

More Alicantinos on Ludum Dare — take that, Elche! 😉

Hey, how can I get in contact with you?

I’m in, 8 times!

So again, i will participate at UDF, my college. I will team up with some friends. I’ve been studying Unity, but i’m not confident enough to use it at a Jam. I’ve been using Pico-8 too, what a lovely tool! But i’m not alone in this LD, so, with Construct 2 we go:

  • Construct 2
  • Photoshop
  • Illustrator
  • Spriter
  • Cubase
  • Audacity
  • Waveditor

For now, that is it. Good luck!

I’m in for the 10th time

So.. This will be my 10th ludum Dare – In a row. :-)
My very first Ludum Dare was #26, where I made a game in XNA. In total I’ve made 2 XNA games and 7 Unity Games.

I was actually hoping to branch out to a new engine for my 10th Ludum Dare, but I simply didn’t have the time to get into a new environment, as such I will most likely go with Unity again.

The tools I will be using are the following:

  • Engine
    • Unity
  • Graphics
    • Paint.NET
    • Blender
    • Inkscape
    • Spacescape
    • MakeHuman (Only if there’s plenty of time)
  • Sound & Music
    • SFXR
    • Sunvox
    • CGMusic
    • SynthFont

I’m looking forward to yet another Ludum Dare, and I’m looking forward to seeing all your games as well! – Good luck!

Here we go again…

Thought there were some really good themes for this LD, but typically none of them made it through to the final round, so we’re left with the same bland, generic options as always.

Anyway, still hoping to have the time to take part, and assuming I do, will be using:

  • Phaser
  • GIMP
  • Tiled
  • SunVox
  • bfxr
  • Atom/Node tooling
  • Cordova, assuming I have the time for a mobile version

Jam on jamon

A late join for me and my Jam bud MrBungle for LD #35.

Depending on the scope of our initial ideas we’ll probably target web using Gamemaker or playmycode. There’s a slim chance we’ll go with an SDL2 framework, but we do usually end up regretting it.

Graphics: GraphicsGale, Gimp, Irfanview

Sound: Audacity, bfxr

Music: no idea / free stuff / microphone / low priority

Good luck y’all.

I’m in… sort of

So, in my previous blog post I mentioned my love-hate relationship with LD, I love the jam, I hate the timing, it is always on a weekend that I can’t take part, this weekend being no exception.

However, I’m going to take part anyway, I will have about 6 hours on Sunday in which to make a game and submit it, so that’s what I am going to do.

I will be using Unreal 4 and programmer art!

I’m going in!

This is my official second time into Ludum Dare (technically my third, but one time I didn’t plan or set aside real time for it).  But this time, I took time off for the entire weekend and have everything at the ready.

48 Hour Comp

I’ll be using BlitzMax  (for what I think will be the last time.  It’s just the IDE I work with the fastest currently)

Audacity

Corel x6

Unsure what I’m going to do about music, but I’ll have something by Sunday =)

Some Tools for LibGDX & Tiled Users

metamap

Hello everyone! Over the past week or so, I’ve been working on some tools I used in past game jams. The first is MetaMap, a program for adding collision & other meta data to TMX maps. The original version exported this to a JSON file, but now it can save straight onto the map file. The extra data is stored on a new tile layer with the name “meta”. An early version of this tool was used for my LD 33 entry, Dis-o-rder. Download the tool here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B8yQwqpIY-TfVU9rSjFEVmVHRVE

The second tool I’ve been working on is a libGDX base template. It uses Groovy, contains generic Ashley components, tween accessors, and a premade main menu. The code can be found here: https://github.com/specialcode/gdx-dynamic-template

Me and my team are very in for LD35. Good luck to all of you!

I may be interested what are your skills?

I’m in apparently?

Hello… strangers…

Wait, no. Hello world.

Yes. That’s the topically appropriate and clever greeting I need.

I have little idea what I’m getting myself into. I’ve been fiddling around with gamedev for about a year now. I’ve been working on a game with some other people for about half that time. But I’ve never really…. made a game yet. Maybe I will now? Here? This?

Also I’m not very good at communicating.

Another Ludum Dare!

This would technically be my 4th time participating, but I have yet to finish and upload a game by the deadline. I still participate just for the fun it provides, and hopefully get to finish something this time.

The tools I will be using are:

Unity 5.3.4 with Visual Studio Community 2015 (Programming is pretty much the only thing Im good at),

Photoshop (If I can even figure out how to do arts),

And some music from a friend (Since Im horrible at music).

I’m In

gonna use Haxe, Paint.net, and my own basic game library written in Haxe.

Go On Then

I’m in again. No idea what I want to do, but I need to severely limit my scope, as I also have to do Dad stuff and recover from being at work all week.

My goal therefore is to just get to the point where I can submit something that’s technically a working game!

Good luck, everyone!
