LD33 August 21–24, 2015

Base Code for LD 33

Unless I change something, I’ll be using the Colorado version that Super Jet Racing 3.3 used.

The game, and Colorado, are available here: https://digitaldoge.duckdns.org/super-jet-racing/

I’ll probably make incremental updates to TERF, and I want to redo the mesh format but honestly for desktop it’ll be okay.

Code is all AGPLv3.

LD #33: I’m in!

After skipping a few LDs, I’m back with a vengeance!

I’ll be developing a game using C++ and OpenGL, which will be initially developed on my Linux laptop and subsequently ported to the web using Emscripten.

I’m planning to make a game that uses very few assets, relying instead on special effects. I’m going for a “demo scene” vibe. Should be interesting!

By the way, we have a real world location in Victoria BC! Pretty excited to see what people come up with. https://www.facebook.com/events/1628448440768904/

Jam on!

I’m In

This is my first Ludum Dare! I’m pretty bad but what ever :)

Things:

Language: C#

Engine: Unity-5

Music: I Dunno

Art: Paint.NET

I’m In for #LD33

This will be my second time.. had a great experience in  LD32.

As usual i will use the open source or free tools only and also use this as opportunity to learn a new thing..

This time i am planning to give a shot to libgdx, if i am able to study before the starting bell rings.. else fall back to Unity

so far to see the libgdx is cool.. after working in Unity for about a year, i miss editor support for libgdx…

Anyhow.. i will be there for the party..

Woo! Ludum Dare 33

Second time in! Enjoyed the challenge from the previous Ludum Dare ready to test myself once again! Hopefully this time I will be able to have a bit less interruptions.

Tools:
GameMaker-Studio
Fl-Studio
Audacity probably
Photoshop

Other programs that I might need. ^.^

I’ll see if I have enough time for the warm-up weekend.

GO LUDUM DARE!

I’m in !

Third time for me !

As usual, i will make a web game.  I thought I would have time to learn Unity, and use it for this LD, but i didn’t had the time.

So my setup this time (not very different than the last time) :

  • IDE : phpstorm
  • JS Framework : phaser.io
  • Graphics : Aesprite, mspaint (cuz YOLO), maybe Tiled too.
  • Music : Reaper, BoscaCeoilas3sfxr

I’d like to try making a rythm game this time. I hope the theme will fit !

I’m in!

I’m in! First time for me.

This will be my first time entering in Ludum Dare, and my first time dabbling with music/sound in my games. I’m undecided between using C++/SDL/OpenGL or going with Game Maker Studio but my tools will likely be:

  • Game Maker Studio Professional
  • Paint.Net
  • Bfxr

Hopefully I can complete something within the time frame that isn’t terrible!

I’m In

Time to get warmed up for Ludum Dare!
Can’t wait to get started! 😀

I’m in for my first time!

This will be my first ever game jam and I am really excited about it!

I started to make games a few month ago and figured this would be a great challenge to test my newfound skills. *throws himself into the open, cold water… brrr*

Unfortunately I have to work at friday and saturday night, but hopefully I can use the time to plan things then and develop at day.

So, the obligatory tools I will be using are:

  • Unity 5 in C#,
  • Pen, Paper and Photoshop,
  • Audition,
  • and maybe others.

Be gentle, cheers!

Wyatt Malik, the Glam Necromancer

necro-cackle

Wyatt Malik, the Glam Necromancer, was our first design. Born fron Wicked insisting we include a Necromancer, and me insisting we include a fabulous dude, we ended up with this sexy beast/massive dork. In generic fantasy stuff, evil magicians are already all about ostentatiousness, so adding in some modern Hair Fashion conventions (that hair, dude!) was an easy fit. He has a thing for rituals, meticulous planning and diamante-studded skulls. He’s got a collection in his living room. He listens to Queen and Lady Gaga in equal measures.

Wow, this is some seriously well-targeted spam. At first I was like, cool! Then I was like, what? Then I was like, oh.

I’m In!

First time, just only recently learned how to use Unity and finished a small game just for fun.

Been working as a Java developer for 10+ years, but will be going with Unity and C# for the Jam, hopefully learning some new stuff along the way.

LD#33 – Sound Design away!

This is my first Ludum Dare and I’m excited to be jamming again!

I’m a sound designer currently studying at Vancouver Film School, working on a couple of short movies and games on the side.
If your game needs sounds and/or music (especially if you coming to Victoria BC) count me in!
I’ll be using Reaper to create assets, I know both FMOD and Wwise middleware tools but I’m trying to learn the unity audio engine as well.

Met me at a real world location in Victoria: https://www.facebook.com/events/1628448440768904/

Let’s Jam!

Were In!

Second time for us, very excited, last game was really great (yep, really great).

I’m programming, he’s arting.

Once more unto the… we’re doing it!

The IndieSquish Minecraft community will participate again, using the same dirty trickses as the other times.

– Build voxel art in Minecraft
– Animation/rigging in Blender/Maya
– Build game in Unity

Maybe this time we’ll actually finish! 😀

Do you even dev, bro?

Yes, yes I do. I’m in!

I took two vacation days on the front and back of the weekend, so I’ll be well rested and prepared. As usual, here are my tech paths:

  • JavaScript/Canvas Renderer
  • JavaScript/CSS Renderer
  • CanvasQuery/Phaser/Custom Engine
  • FL Studio/Bfxr
  • Photoshop/Note Paper
  • Most likely reuse some utility functions to get started

Good luck to everyone. Crush it!

Are you now

^ This was the reply I got from Cortana when I typed in “I’m so in”, intending to look for a witty “I’m in” post title. Such sass…

Anyhow, I’m in! For my 8th time, and my third using my own engine. For this LD, my tools will be:

Code: Visual Studio 2015, C#, Snap (custom .NET/DirectX engine)

Graphics: GIMP, Maya LT, Substance Live

Audio: Sfxr, Sunvox, Audacity, Abundant Music

Streaming: XSplit, Twitch
