During my LD-brainstorm I came up with "Keeping an idea alive" as one of my possible games. When fleshing different ideas out, this one had a leg up because the way I would do it would involve webscraping, something I haven't tried before.
It seemed pretty straightforward but after I submitted the game it turned out it didn't work for 90% of people ( see the zero score and full (7) lives above). This was very frustrating but in the end I found the bug was due to the different way countries seperate digits larger than a thousand e.g. 321,000 or 321.000.
This was five days after submission and it would've taken me way longer if it wasn't for https://ldjam.com/users/trexxak and https://ldjam.com/users/goutye helping me debug a bug I didn't have myself.

I love entering these game jams and have used tools like, libgdx, pygame and java from scratch to make simple 2d games. I've been thinking of trying out Unity for a while now. Do you think it's a good idea to use it for this LD without any prior Unity experience?
I don't mind ending up with a shitty looking game, I'm used to that (see image below) :p But I do want to be able to publish something in the end.
I've been looking forward to LD48 for the last few months and today suddenly back and neck started aching. Right before a weekend of sitting at a desk 24/7 :p
Use your pheromones to lead her deeper and deeper in a flooded nest. 
Save the colony by leading them deeper in their flooded nest using the ant's pheromone signalling system! 
If anybody else has the problem that the comment section on game pages won’t load, I found a quick fix. If I have this problem, I click on the LD logo to go to the home page and then I click the “previous page” button, et voila a working comment section :) Let me know if this works for you too.
I haven't used Godot at all. Any tips or resources are welcome!!
