taking a short break from spinning in circles as I traverse a particle collider at uncanny speeds, prototype almost done. Artist has other plans so no real art until tomorrow

We be jammin’

Still need to work on a bunch of assets – UI / HUD, etc. We’re running to finish for the jam! It’s been an awesome experience!
Good luck to everyone and congrats to all who uploaded already.

Your atomic-twin and energy mate has been captured by an evil atom! Fly the dangerous corridors of quantum space to collide and unleash your atomic fury to gain enough energy to break your twin free!
Our game is up on itch.io https://seizethedia.itch.io/atomicollider
— thanks everyone, looking forward to 3 weeks of playing some awesome creations.

As a blind man in prison, freedom is in the mind.
But your mind is haunted by Nightmares.
Find the key.
Escape yourself.
So I made it for the Jam! W00t! Had to go solo for this one. I learned many things, mainly that game jam ideas not only have to be small in scope but small in how you think of your design & code. Everything from how you implement hit collision detection to how you story will be told has to be small, concise, and fast — fast — FAST!
Thanks everyone, after some rest I will play all your games!! Pumped.
I would be very thankful if you play — BLIND MAN’S ROOM

After being without power for 50+days and witnessing one of the biggest hurricanes in history I'm thinking I'll make a survival game =) Battle-hardened and ready, as long as the power stays on I'm in!
Tools: Unity Pyxel Edit Trello SourceTree VS Code As always, not sure what I'm doing for music..
Good luck everyone!
Radrock is a day in the life of a lonely peon. Some day you will have enough money to buy citizenship... some day. If you work hard enough. The Terminal willing.

So this time around I had a lot more story to tell than I had mechanics or gameplay. It was a rough weekend when I almost gave up multiple times but I feel like this time I learned a lot from the experience.
As a reminder to myself and anyone else who's interested, here are some of the things I learned and hope to do in the future. Thanks everyone!
Things I've learned: - avoid pathfinding if you can ( i'm looking at YOU a*) - stick to your strengths, the jam itself is challenge enough - don't code friday night, take most if not ALL of the night for planning what you will need to execute your best ideas - once you have an idea, think of the simplest most basic way you could make it into a game. For example, in hindsight, I would've done better with a Text adventure since I had a strong story but meager art skills (i'm slow!) and no good ideas for mechanics. KEEP IT SIMPLE!
I like the themes this time! Uh oh.... is that a bad sign?
TOOLS:
Unity,
Visual Studio,
Notepad++,
Aseprite ( <--- nervous about this one, haven't had time to mess with it too much),

Can you escape the crumbling dungeon?

Crawl your way down this dungeon right from your browser: https://seizethedia.itch.io/the-return-home

Tons of balance needed so feedback is greatly appreciated!
Thank you all for playing my game! One big problem people have had is they can't easily restart the game.
I think I fixed it!
Come test out the "New Game" button! who knows? You might not even need it.
This dungeon can be crawled from your browser!

For this jam I tried to make a turn-based game feel hectic and fast.
Before you lies the slaughtered corpse of Baron Rasec a necro aristocrat that has dominated your homeland for over 200 years. You vowed to destroy him. Your quest is complete. But the stench of the Baron lingers in the air still... Might be best to go home now before it enters your lungs!
