ZooScreenshot

Almost gave up on it this morning as yesterday ended up being kind of a write off, but I’m really glad I pushed through. It’s not the deepest but I think it’s pretty fun.

I was worried about doing the graphics because I am no good at that stuff, this was my first all-solo jam where everything had to be done myself but I think the planets and things turned out OK even if I didn’t have time to animate them.

I wanted to add more puzzle elements too, more steps to life and whatnot, but 48 hours is pretty quick.

You can play ‘Zoo Hypothesis‘ here!

i'm in

been a while but im back and ready. i feel particularly prepared this year as i have been working in a professional environment for a year since my last jam. still can't art, but who cares! immmmm ready!

finished - jig jog

capture.gif im proud i finished my little compo game and think it is pretty fun, personally. inspired by qwop! i also really like how the graphics look like they were done by an eleven year old, or a programmer (the latter)

I finished my typing tutor / rhythm / fighting jam. It is possibly way too easy or much too difficult. the last day and a half are hazy. i think i need some water and / or a pizza

More web games!

I find it way easier to play games in my browser, as im sure many of you do too. It would also be super cool to view games in the list by platform (ie web). I could probably get through 10x more games in the same amount of time it takes me to sift through windows only games I can't run! just a though :)

Unity now exports to WebGL and itch.io is a great place to host them...like my shamefully self promoted game Travis Beacon Teaches Fighting https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/travis-beacon-teaches-fighting

it was also my first time attempting 'real' art (like, not just boxes and / or circles). people are mentioning they like my style which I have never had a style before and it feels great!

This was a really fun one, even though I ran into some build issues getting it to run in the web player - if it doesn't work for you, try a different browser, sorry!

Originally (as in day 1 out of 2) this was pretty different, with the hands being able to grab anywhere in space. I ended up playing it like it is now and found it to be much more interesting, so I scrapped a bunch of things and wrote a bunch of new things to get the hands to stick to the walls.

I usually enter the compo, but build issues + using a third party library for the shape drawing led me to "settle" for the jam instead, but no matter - it's in great company, there are so many great games this LD!
