Ludum Dare 37

I’m in

Hi everybody! This is the first time I am trying myself in LD. Can’t wait to start :)

Made a level editor

I am implementing everything almost from scratch (raw OpenGL, but of course with some libraries like Stb and ImGui). I have implemented basic mesh editor and basic level editor.

Live updates of source code are on GitHub: https://github.com/zapolnov/ludum_dare_37

Now it’s time to craft some levels :)

We are in

We (me and @evgeniya-zapolnova) are in!

Will be using hand-written 2D C++ engine instead of Unity this year. Photoshop for graphics, Audacity for sound and probably Bosca Ceoil for music.

Looking forward to having fun! Can't wait to know the Theme!

Finally some action

Completed first enemy. Also collisions and damage/health are done, everything starts looking like a game. And @evgeniya-zapolnova made very cool Castle environment (first draft, so there are some tiling issues).

We are in!

Fourth Ludum Dare for us!

We'll be using SDL2 and C++ for code, Photoshop for graphics and Audacity for sounds.

And this is my humble setup. All ready! Just waiting for a GOOOOD theme.

Speedrun Challenge!

Hey, guys, are there any speedrunners in the community? Or maybe you just like hardcode games, testing your reaction and precision?

We have a very challenging but fun game! If you want to test your skills, finish our game as fast as you can with no lost body parts and post your results in the game's comments!

Note: if you are not into hardcode games, still give our game a try! Its much easier to complete if you let yourself lose some body parts during your jorney...

First day went well

Good progress on the first day. Can collect ammo and shoot. Still no enemies to kill, but at least I can shoot walls!

We're in! 7th time in a row!

Obligatory "we're in" post :)

Its time for a new challenge for our team of four! Our tools of choice are Unity, Blender, Photoshop and Audacity.

We wish best of luck to all the participants. Let's make some cool games no matter how bad theme is going to be! :D
