Coconuts

1

This is my compo entry, Coconuts! It’s a simple rhythm game where you drop coconuts on to tourists.

This is my first proper LD entry, although I’ve done plenty of jams before, including mini LDs. This is the first time I’ve had to make art and music from scratch, so it was quite intimidating! So I kept things simple and took fewer risks, and I’m pretty happy with the result.

The ideas and theme interpretations have been very impressive, my favourite so far is Internship Adventure, with a great premise and humour. Most games have been good but could have been great with a little more polish, so I hope to see more from everyone!

Solo jammin with TIC-80

Alright! It's been ages since my last ludum dare. Gonna try making it with TIC-80 https://tic.computer Here goes nothing!

Sad farmer

caress.gif

The farmer is sad because the programmer hasn't implemented FRUIT PICKING. Instead you can caress him to make him feel better.

Crows must die

They keep stealing the fruit!!!

Day 1 over. Day 2 I will give the farmer a flamethrower to slaughter those damn crows.

Finished!

It's finally over! The coding is all done, there's still time left so maybe I can improve the art but then I gotta redo the screenshots (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻

And as promised I actually did add a machine gun in the game, but it's only available in the last level... oh well we gotta be a bit merciful to the animals.

Now I'll play some of your games! Huzzah!

Dunkman: and that's a wrap!

https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/46/dunkman

Dunkman is a silly anime-inspired game about basketball - or the need to do a slam dunk when the game is on the line, because you are Dunkman!

I really had fun making this; Saturday was a bit depressing because everything looked like potatoes, but things really came together on Sunday! I hope you will try this game and have as much fun playing it as I did making it!

This is the first time I did substantial art, and a few music tracks all in a weekend jam. Plus I got to code a few special effects, like the elbow bending and anime speed lines. All in all it was very productive! Fantasy consoles are seriously great for jams.

I look forward to playing everyone else's games and sharing feedback!

Home Tripper OST

Here's the OST I made for our LD49 game reworked into a single track!

Home Tripper is a quirky visual novel about home appliances that are maybe too smart... It was really fun making some comedic yet subtly unsettling music, which is not my usual repertoire. Playing around with dissonant scales and harmonies was pretty cool.

ROAD TXTR post jam updates

We made a fun little jam game and got 63rd overall; check it out if you haven't already, I'm sure it will be almost as fun as we had making it!

https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/51/road-txtr

The game has now been updated with some post-jam enhancements, including unlocks when you beat or perfect the game (no bad texts, no pedestrians killed), so that's something cool to check if you are looking for a challenge!

Continuous Factory - Post Jam Release

Continuous Factory has been completed! The post jam version of our puzzle game adds polish and 24 mind-bending levels to challenge your wits to the limit.

Continuous Factory was a jam game for Ludum Dare 53; the game did somewhat well, but we did not spend nearly as much time on it as we would have liked, and felt there was a lot of untapped potential in the game mechanics. The jam version contained only 3 challenging levels aside from the easy, tutorial levels, and we wanted to make more, as well as add some much-needed polish, quality-of-life features and fix weird bugs.

We've spent the last several weeks doing just that, adding more than a dozen new levels, fully exploring the mechanics of this deceptively simple puzzle game about moving folders around with conveyor belts. So even if you played this game during the jam, it's worth revisiting, and in any case, see you all at the next LD!
