LD34 December 11–14, 2015

Ludum Dare!!!

This time is going to be a time crunch for me, because I won’t be able to start until Saturday morning, and I have finals next week

Regardless

Tools

-Java

-Audacity

-Paint.NET

I am hoping to

  1. Finish something
  2. Make it fun
  3. Have content that doesn’t suck

The subliminal theme theme

A long time ago I used to play with spheres, and I came across http://kiwi.atmos.colostate.edu/BUGS/geodesic/text.html which is a description of how to tile a sphere 😀

I’ve blogged about building icospheres before, so I had some code to borrow to adapt to see how spheres might look for a maze or dungeon design:

If I get a chance to do LD34, I might try and make a 2D wrap-around dungeon on a sphere or something… 😉

Repost: I put screenshots of every LD33 game into a statistics program and discovered a disturbing ghostly pattern pervading the choice for themes this LD34:

This time I’ll finish! I said the same thing for the past 3 of them but this time its the one.

Using Unity, Paint.Net and Reaper.

I’m in

I am in again!

Language: Java with eclipse

Graphics: Paint.NET,  Piskel, maybe Gimp, Inkscape and Synfig

Music: FL studio, LMMS, maybe incompetech.com, Soundation or Abundant Music. Depends on how much time I have left

SFX: Might use SFXR if I have time or just Audacity.

Not that many changes.

First LD “I’m In”

I’ve seen a few games come out of LD but I’ve never, personally, participated.

I will be using:

Unity 5

Visual Studio CE

Photoshop CC

Ableton Live

:)

I’m in

I never submited a game before, so I hope to do this time. My tools:

  • Haxe
  • Kha
  • PyxelEdit, Gimp, Inkscape and Krita

I don’t know how to make music, so I will try something simple like pixitracker

I’m in for Jam!

This is my first LD. I am still learning python and this will be my first game!

I will use python 3 and pygame

Textle engine

Here is the engine I made that I’ll be using for ld 34, use it too if you want too!
Let’s do this thing!

how to use it:

code in the code.txt
#key(needed position)>message(change to position);

example:

#start(1)>started(2);
#help(2)>this is help(2);

Sorry for messy and quick post, I’m in a hurry!

Ludum Dare #34

This entry, will be my first.

Will be using the following:
Eclipse + libGDX for programming, PyxelEdit for graphics and bfxr for audio. Maybe FL Studio, if I am willing enough to spend time on that ^^
Maybe I will use Tiled for the map, depends on the final theme!

Good Luck and as always Have Fun!

Cool, he’s using OpenGL, manually programming graphics is awesOh wait that means “good luck”.

I’m in!

My first and last LD I participated in was LD 30 – beneath the surface.

I finally have time to work on another game! I’m no artist still so I may use free art assets.

Using:

  • Unity 5
  • Gimp for 2d art assets
  • Possibly Blender
  • Possibly Reaper for sound if I get there

I’m in!

Unity and whatever else is necessary .

I’m in!

I’m in, and excited to participate in my first LD!

I’m still working out whether I’ll be working with Unity or Cocos2d-x, but either way I’m looking forward to jamming with you all this weekend!

Just don’t let the theme be Four Elements…

I figured I might as well put myself in, officially, on here, once again. Theme voting is scaring me as always, since most of the themes I don’t like, but I guess that makes whatever I’m making more interesting.

As usual, I’ll be using GM8 (after trying GM: Studio and finding that it was broken software), FL Studio 10, Paint Tool Sai, and most likely Bfxr, since I’m too lazy to learn another program well enough for sound fx.

Anyway, happy creating to anyone involved, and I swear to god, Four Elements had better not win the theme voting…

Also, I am in.

Hello yes, tools I will be likely using:

Unity or Game Maker, mmaybe Zbrush, undoubtedly Photoshop, Bfxr or Audacity.

Bye.

I’m in!

I see everyone saying “I’m in!”, so… I’m in too !

This will be my first Ludum Dare. I am using Construct2 and Gimp.

Oh, and I am French, so I will probably make some spelling mistakes. If there are some grammar fans, feel free to correct me !

Merci de la proposition, mais pour cette Ludum Dare, je reste chez moi. Peut-être pour la prochaine ! Bon courage à tout le monde !

Count Me In!

I’m in! Will use Unity and GIMP for sure, but I don’t know what I’ll use for sfx and music.

Check out sfxr and bosca ceoil are both very friendly and quick to pick up, hope it helps out 😉

University of York Game Development Society is in!

UoY’s DevSoc will be taking part for it’s second ever time! We will play host to around 10 people on campus, with a handful more taking part from afar!

We have several first timers taking part this event, so hopefully this will be a fantastic learning experience for them. We aim to kick off proceedings at our on campus event by forming teams (for those who want it), getting everyone up to speed on the rules and letting more experienced members give advice and answer questions. Then, we’ll be set for the 2am start!

We’ve asked members to post updates and tag their posts DevSocYork, so if you’re interested in following the progress of our little society, you’re welcome to do so.

Good luck to everyone and have fun!
