Early Footage
First LD (or game jam, for that matter), and I'm having a lot of fun! The idea is to keep the party alive by increasing the enthusiasm of the guests using fun tricks (balloons, beer, etc).

About to head to bed - I'm super happy with how this has turned out. I've done almost everything I wanted to do, and way more than I ever thought I would (given Murphy's Law). Work left is to add an end-game screen and write some music, and I probably won't be able to resist tweaking the balance parameters. What do you think?

Today, I built the end menu, with a final score so you can challenge yourself and your friends =)
I'm so glad I did this. I'm going to appreciate the small details in games so much more now.

Is there a place to do this / will this data be available after the results period?

Oh wow, this was such a fun weekend! We're all programmers, but had varying game dev experience: one person who's done LD before (me), another who's done a lot of Unity but not LD (Reed) and a first-timer who had a great time learning about pixel art (Naomi). It was so fun to work with a group of 3 friends! We loved getting into the Dune vibe.
Play now! (playable on web)
Explore a strange and dangerous planet, where the valuable substance, melange spice, is worth more than life itself.
Use scouts to find spice to harvest, and defend yourself against raiders in the desert. Rumor has it there are even larger threats out there…

Naomi says picking a limited pixel palette really helped make the sprites feel cohesive. Bonus pixel art of our cat Napoleon aka Napo aka Little Bean: (Naomi was slacking off :p)

If you see this:

Make sure your .ZIP file is not the archive of the folder, but instead an archive of the files in the folder.
e.g. on OSX, go into the Unity-generated build folder so that you see 'index.html', select all files in that folder, and then right-click -> compress. Use that .ZIP file.

The job of a Harvester operator isn't easy.
The sand is hot, the days are long, and the locals are trying to kill you.
Are you up for the task?

(What is this? A .gif for ANTS?! Well, I had to get under the 5MB upload, sorry!)
