I picked the wrong week to quit drinking caffeine
Been a couple years since I attempted LD48. I'll be reusing the same framework as I did for Ludum Dare 30 (https://www.piratehearts.com/files/LD48Base.zip). Let's do this!

Feeling pretty good about my progress today, on track to get this done by the compo deadline. Tomorrow's gonna be all about audio and effects.

Calling this one done with a few hours to spare for the compo. Pretty happy with how it turned out! It's a simple block-breaking game, but I managed to get all the features I wanted in there. Had to scramble a bit to write a quick-and-dirty collision implementation since I didn't include all the heavyweight collision source from my full-scale engine, but it all came together in the end.

I don't know how much time I'll have this weekend, but I had fun with LD 48, and like to take another stab at the 48-hour compo. I'll be reusing my LD 30 framework (https://www.piratehearts.com/files/LD48Base.zip).
I'm going to spend a little time this weekend touching up the code base I used for LD30 and LD48 and try to get that published before the compo.
Super late update: I've published my starter code base here: https://piratehearts.com/files/LD4851Base.zip
