This is my first LD and also my first real game :smile:.

This was quite a journey and I learned so much.

It's been a while since my last LD, but now I'm ready. Let's have some fun.

We are almost done with all the mechanics. Other than that we need to work on creating some assets to replace the placeholders, balance the game a bit, add some particles and post processing.

It's gonna be a long day tomorrow (I mean today because it's 2AM :smile:)

A few more steps until the finsh line, I think we can finish in time :smile:

The game was a bit hard to understand at first so we decided to add a short tutorial and fix some bugs.

I wanted to see what cover image AI can generate based on a very simple prompt.

I used "low polly derstruction derby gaem called derpy" and yes I misspelled those words in the prompt but I didn't notice.

I was surprised by the result. The cars in the back look a bit janky, but the rest looks pretty good and the text is clean.

I used ideogram.ai to generate the image.

I didn't end up using the image as our cover for the game since it was not made by us, but it was a good experiment.

Quite happy with what I managed to do solo on this project so far. Tomorrow I will finish the game loop and start polishing.
