Well me and my wife are going for a more darker topic and also spending more time together getting creative. The scripts and programming is almost finished as for the main Masked Charater and his enemies. The art is still in development and will keep on the hard work tomorrow morning.
Hope you guys end up liking the game.
Well the game is going very well, the development part is almost finished and art is almost finished also. We have some enemies, some fire, some nice stuff. We are just finishing some art and will be publising a bigger game than what we though about.
The game is finished!! please go and play it at the jam and rate!!
Fixed a problem with my game visibility.
Please come and play the game!! Some screens are not perfect but this is our first try. Feedback is welcome. Saddly the game is not complete since we both are working full time. But we are going to fix it for sure.
Thanks a lot for stopping by.

Our game is ready for any feedback you have! My wife and I did the game on our spare time during the weekend, however we do want any comments and feedback on how to do it better and what you liked of it or hated about it. It is our first Jam, but we did like it alot and it was fun. We learned even how to upload a game for the first time.
For the next time we will both grab holidays and most likely deliver a better game for you all!!

I thanx everyone so far that has given us feedback on the game and helped on with their ratings. I really appreciate all of it. My wife did enjoy this journey alot although it was only a weekend of rushing on to make a roughly simple game. We are thinking now in participating in more game jams and giving more time to our games.
Please do keep on giving us any comments and feedback, hope to see you guys on any other jam! link to site: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/46/keep-the-fire-alive-final

We have updated some small bugs and some stuff we wanted to fix. Sadly we havent had much time to dedicate to the game, but still, if anyone wants to try it and give more feedback you are welcome to give it!! I hope people enjoy our new stuff!
We changed the gravity and music for it not to be so punishing and we also have a settings options menu now.

I kept on fixing some minor stuff on the game and kept on polishing even more stuff and am having alot of fun doing it. I have done some games before but this time it feels kinda different, it is like slowly falling for my game. I know its not the best game out there, but I think is the feeling everyone should have at some extent, where we feel happy for what we have done.
I know this is just a small crazy rant on gaming, but I do hope everyone enjoyed maked their games and playing the ones of others. Here I have a new version of the game, with some minor details fixed and improved. Hope you all enjoy it and keep on the good work, bringing more enjoyment on this!
One more Ludum dare! Here I go!

Reuploaded the game to the page for those who tried and couldn't play. Hope you can check it out again.

Well, this is just me venting out to people who most likely will understand just for the sake of trying to feel better.
For context I have been programming for about 2 years now with no formal studies and very little spare time in hand due to my day-job and other stuff. I love making games for the creative process, since it envolves nice graphics, beautiful music, a story-line and envolving gameplay. It is like the best creative expression I can find.
However this year on this ludum dare I got really mentally blocked when making the game. With little time to make it (since I had to work all weekend) I got frustrated and couldnt muster to test the game or even look after mistakes or anything to be honest. I really felt like I wanted to publish something, to at least prove to myself I still got it in me. The game isnt a huge mess or a huge pile of %"/@... but it is worse than most of the games I have made. Also I dont really know how to fix it, which frustrates me more. I do need to learn more but sometimes it is hard.
I do feel like just leaving the game behind and forgetting it, however one of my favourite games has tought me something: "Stay determined"(From Understale) and I will try during this week to make a proper playable game, for me at least.
In the end, if anyone reads this. Keep trying and keep persevering, not always it is easy. Well that concludes my venting to other creative people like you guys.
Lets go for it!!! the 4th time participating on this competition, now wiser and older!!
