LD 44

This idiot is IN!

Vanilla JS and Web APIs are about to be turned into something that I will totally call a game

24 hour in... hey this is a game!

For our first LD we went with a simple variation on a classic.

You're a ghost; take lives to pay the toll to reach the next level, where you take lives to pay the toll to reach the next level...

TODOs:

  • Fix that stupid dot placement
  • Sounds
  • Improve controls (it's easy to get stuck on corners trying to turn)
  • Come up with a name
  • Rest period between levels
  • Title screen?
  • Improve mobile controls
  • Difficulty tweaks
  • Fix obscure crash (upon killing two enemies in the same frame)

That said, if we get none of these done, I'm satisfied that this is totally a game

Boo!

Ah, that dot placement is looking much nicer than it had been!

Making progress on TODOs:

  • ~~Fix that stupid dot placement~~
  • Sounds
  • ~~Improve controls (it’s easy to get stuck on corners trying to turn)~~
  • Come up with a name
  • ~~Rest period between levels~~ (center square is a safe zone now, so there is some optional time to breathe)
  • Title screen?
  • ~~Improve mobile controls~~
  • Difficulty tweaks
  • Fix obscure crash (upon killing two enemies in the same frame)

Things are gettin' playable!

Soul Toll

We have a name, and an intro screen. Soul Toll!

Soul Toll released!

We've completed our first Ludum Dare game! I've been meaning to do so for years but never made more than a weak start until now, so this is very satisfying. I don't every care if you play it.

Ludum Dare 45

I'm in!

Made my first LD entry earlier this year, looking forward to making my second! This time I'll go solo for greater challenge. Planning to use vanilla JS again; computation shall be my game engine!

Ludum Dare 50

I'm not in

April Fool's! I'm totally in. Second LD; going solo, plain-old-JS & browser APIs. Eee!
