Good Luck everyone and have a blast making some cool games!

Progress Shot

Tiny World, OK, I wasn’t expecting that but an idea has formed so here we go. Yeah, shapes and colours and things!

More Progress, A Dot is born.

More progress, the yellow dot is born, and can move about the screen controlled by user input, that’s nearly a game right ?

Progressing ever onward

Resplendent in its glorious place-holder art the game logic and interaction is now complete. Time now  for art, sound and all the lovely trimming that a full day of polish can bring.

Entire game on one sceen? Im in!

I’m in for the Jam, bit of a late start but then its actually fairly early here. Im using the Jam as an opportunity to drive my own tech development forward but will actually be working solo. Anyway, good luck all!

I’m using (Jam):

  • Linux
  • Kdevelop
  • My own engine (C++, Lua)
  • GIMP
  • sfxr

Day One Progress

Despite some initial malfunctions with my tech, things are moving forward :) It would appear I’m turning space invaders into some sort of platformer.

And done.

Submitted my Jam entry. Its a fairly basic game and so far its only has a Linux build, so not expecting many votes 😛

This LD my main goal was to move my tech forward and see if I could successfully use it for the Jam, for the most part I am pretty happy with the resulting progress. Though the game is very basic, creating it has proved out a bunch of stuff with my work-flow and has driven the fixing of a bunch of bugs and building missing features. Game jams are a great way to push development and have a lot of fun at the same time!
