LD 41 April 20–23, 2018

Why no filtering in Theme Slaughter Round? :/

I have slaughtered the same themes about 20 times each, surely we could have some basic filtering to remove duplicates? Seems a bit silly not to? :/

Best of luck to everyone competing this year! Keen to play all of your games! :D :D :D

First Game Jam Entry

Hi this is my first ever game entry I will be using gamemaker, piskel for graphics(though I'm horrible at it), bfxr for sound effects, and Bosca Ceoil for the soundtrack. Basically Noobish all around though with some experience in coding.

My first ever online Game Jam

Yaaaay! I'm pretty much excited to make a game in small timestamp. Gotta check what I'm capable of. One question I gotta ask. Q1: Am I registered in the Jam by just creating an account? Q2: Can I start making the game right now or should I start when the Jam begins?

I am, of course, in.

This will be my ... 14th event in total. 11th in a row. I will be using a custom built C++ framework, TurtleBrains, that supports Windows, MacOS and Linux platforms. I will be streaming my developments the entire weekend (as I develop the game) and there may be a live playable* build at all times during the weekend. I will also be streaming the preparation of the framework, tools and pipeline prior to the event as I am attempting, for the first time ever to do a three-dimensional game during LD41.

Tools

  • Visual Studio 2015, XCode, Visual Studio Code
  • Blender
  • Audacity

Pets

  • Sara (cat)
  • Monky (bird)
  • Indie (dog)

*this feature depends on getting 3D components to work with WebGL

I'm in!

Ready for LD41. This will be my second try, first one didn' go very well (couldn't finish in time), hopefully now I can do better!

I'm in! :)

Second Ludum Dare (first one was LD35!). Looking forward to it and good luck everyone!

I've been going through theme slaughtering, gotten through a little over 2500. I swear I have gotten "Time Travel" at least 50 times.

We are in! (still looking for an artist)

We'll use Godot to make any kind of 2D game! We are 3 people at the moment, still looking for an artist. Heres our team on crowdforge: https://crowdforge.io/jams/ludumdare/teams/1236

Just a few hours to work with this time

Will be on a cruise during the jam, but determined to pull something together, encouraged that one of my favourite games of LD40 was made in just 8 hours.

I'll have from theme release at 3AM until breakfast on the 21st before heading off into Rome, then maybe an hour or two in the evenings before bed. This is the most I can get away with without my wife throwing the laptop over the side.....

I'm in as always...

I'm going to be doing a project with the following tools: * GameApi Builder (https://www.meshpage.org/meshtool.php) * Meshpage.org (https://www.meshpage.org/meshall.php)

There's going to be tons of fun in LD41.

I'm In!

I am in for my 5th Ludum Dare! As always, my resources are going to be Construct3 (editor.construct.net) for coding, Piskel (piskelapp.com) for art, and Jukedeck (jukedeck.com) for music. Best of luck to everyone and I look forward to seeing your projects after the fact!

I'm in, round 2!

Second Ludum Dare! Using Unity maybe gimp & blender and some audio tools.
