LD36 August 26–29, 2016

Second time

I make a terrible “game”(Is it a game? oh… ) last time, very bad. For this, I forge a board game like engine to quickly develope game by pure front-end techlogy. I want you to enjoy its work.

Almost forgot about LD, but I’m in!!

And I’ll try to create my first multiplayer game (probably something coop), as I’m currently playing around with some networking stuff.

Tools & Tech

Platform: Web/HTML5
Language: Dart
IDE: WebStorm
Libs: dartemis and other stuff on pub if needed.
Base Code: some utilities to reduce the amount of boilerplate code I need to write
Graphics: Krita
Sound: Audacity
Multiplayer stuff: Websockets and/or WebRTC (EDIT: a little server I use for connecting the clients)

I’m in!

I’ll be doing Ludum Dare this time, using Game Maker Studio, Photoshop, Paint and Audacity.

In!

Hello!

I’m in again as long as I get time to do it!

Engine: Unity.

Graphics: Blender and GIMP. I’ve actually sorted out how to do 3D now. That should save a lot of time.

Audio: Audacity? LMMS? BFXR? It depends on what I need on the day.

Good luck, all!

Dare me!

This weekend will certainly be interesting. I’m really hoping for a decent theme to work with, somehow last LDs didn’t really appeal to me.
Since I’m in Germany, Europe I will start later, roughly 4-5 hours after the inital start. Can’t justify staying up that late into the night, especially not being productive at all. (Plus I have work again on Monday.)

If I feel like it I might stream the whole thing over on Twitch, but don’t count on it. 😉

My tools of trade are the following:

Engine: Unity 5 or SuperPowers
Code Editor & Text Editor: Visual Studio, Atom, Notepad++
Audio: Fruity Loops, Audacity, sfxr, Abundant Music
Graphics: Photoshop, 3DS Max
Misc: 2 Monitors (24″ + 22″), Cherry MX-Board 3.0 Mechanical Keyboard with Brown Switches, Xbox 360 Gamepad, M-Audio KeyRig 49 MIDI Keyboard, Coffee, Cats to cuddle with <3

We’re in again, 10th ludum in a row!

It’s jam time, and we won’t say no. I’ve gathered some recurring friends and a few newbies to join in and create a game. We’ll be a bunch — because it is much more fun that way. Also, more people need to understand that they could make games too!

Hopefully I’ll get some coding help this time (Unity3D).
With regards to other tools, it depends on who will show up and what they’ll want to work with.
We do have loads of home made wine, so it will most probably be part of creative process.

We’ll probably aim for the odd and quirky as usual and watch in amused wonder when players say they were freaking out.
It seems to happen more often than not.

I’m going to do my best.

I’ve got shift work this weekend, and I’m going to miss about half of the time I should have to work on it.

But, I just can’t pass up a Ludum Dare.

I’ll be using:

Construct 2, bfxr, Gimp and whatever I can find by Friday night. Probably lots of coffee.

Good luck everyone!

Once more unto the breach

Tools I’ll use:

  • Lua + LÖVE
  • Notepad++
  • Aseprite/paint.net/Inkscape/Synfig
  • sfxr + Audacity
  • SunVox/LMMS

This’ll be my second LD so far and, hopefully, first time submitting a game. Although I do feel much more confident this time around, the possibility of a failure still frightens me. Wish me luck, I guess.

I’m in, sorta

This is my fifth Ludu Dare and I have come a LONG way since starting off at my first. Since I am going away on the Saturday, I am willing to work with another developer’ I use Unity or Game Maker (8 or Studio) and I am a pixel artist. I am also a sound designer when I have to be. Anyone interested?

There’s a great professional alternative for Eclipse – IntelliJ from a company called JetBrains.

They have a free Community edition which should do fine for this kind of a project. I use it on a daily basis and it’s a great tool :)

The countdown at the top of the page shows the correct time for you (ATM: 2 days and 7 hours remaining). But it should be 5 AM Saturday morning for you.

Just look at the top of the page… it starts Aug 27 at 1:00 UTC. If you’re GMT+3 it should be Aug 27 at 4am.

I’m in for LD36

This will be my first Ludum Dare and I’ll certainly be participating in the Game Jam, hopefully with a couple teammates, hopefully streaming the whole process here.

I’ll be using Unity 5 for my engine,
Adobe CC 2016 for art and sound,
Audacity possibly for sound editing,
Blender possibly for modelling
and my own personal guitar for music.

I wish everybody luck. Hopefully I can make a habit of this.

I’m in

I am a first timer, so there is that.

Tools i will be using:

  • Unity (Engine)
  •  Adobe Photoshop / Illustrator (Graphics)
  • Audacity (Sound)

This should be fun!
