It’s also my first time, let’s be nervous together :’D

Professional Composer and Sound Designer LFG!!! :)

Hi everyone. My name is Wes Devore. I founded an audio company called Wes Devore Music. I’m a professional composer and sound designer and want to provide top quality, fully produced music and great SFX for some games this weekend. I am fluent in Wwise and FMOD, Unity and Unreal, and can learn anything super fast. Let’s team up! My website is: www.wesdevore.com. You can check out my whole portfolio there. My email is: www.wesdevoremusic@gmail.com. Looking forward to meeting you!

Looking to team with an artist

Over the weekend I’m going to be teaming up with Wesley Devore over at http://wesdevore.com/ to make a game. Overall I’ve done 2 Ludum Dares and 5 Various Game Jams. Those games can (mostly) all be seen here. While I could handle the art myself and end up with a crude but passable looking game, I’d prefer to find an artist that knows what they’re doing and can make the game look as good as we hope to make it sound and feel. The games going to be 2D and fairly simple, so it won’t be too ridiculous of a workload. Pixel would probably be the easiest style to go with, but I’m open to whatever works.

If you’re interested hit me up on Skype (divitosislove) or on twitter @DivitosGD and we can work something out. Here’s to making an amazing game!

Streaming Schedule

So Ludum Dare 35 is this weekend, and I am going to stream myself doing it!

What makes me different from other streamers? Nothing except the fact that I’m 13 I guess.

Anyway here are the (CENTRAL TIME ZONE) Times:

Friday: 7:30pm – whenever I go to bed

Sat: 10:30?am – 3pm, 8pm – whenever I go to bed

Sun: 11:00am – whenever I finish the game and upload it

all the times are aproximate but I’ll try my best.

You can follow me on twitch at twitch.tv/thesquigglez

Hope to see you then!

I’m so excited for my first LD!
I’m currently trying to finish my school projects ASAP, to have as much free time as possible!

Tools i’m going to use:
Unity (C#)
Blender
Gimp
Pen and paper

Good luck to everyone, and may the code be with you!

In!

Going to be participating in the Jam for my second time now, first time was in December. I didn’t do too bad my first time but I think I’m better prepared now so hopefully this time will be even better! I plan on doing some further experimentation with randomness/procedural generation, this time with levels, last time was with music. I may or may not have a friend join me to help with the music this time, we’ll see! Can’t wait to start!

I’m probably in.

Like a date ?

I’m in

And I’ll live stream my game development for the first time over on https://www.twitch.tv/differentname/dashboard

The thought of live streaming makes me nervous, but preparing for it early is helping.

I’m in

Complete amateur here participating for the first time.

I’m using Unity for my engine,

Paint.net for my most likely crappy graphics,

Microphone for audio if I get the time.

Hope it goes well and i get some sleep at least.

We are in too!

We are a little team in our first jam. We don’t have lot of experience making games but we’ll try to do our best to have fun and earn experience 😀

Good luck :)

We’re in!

First Ludum Dare for us. We’re a 2 person team, one coder and one artist.

We’ll be using:
– Unity
– Blender
– Photoshop CS6
– Audacity

We’ll be going in for the Jam, and looking forward to it. Good luck everyone! 😀

We’re Participating!

Hey!

We’re Norseware (Twitter), a small non-profit game development company. We’re fairly new, and are working on our first-to-be-released title. We thought that participating in Ludum Dare 35 would be a nice break from our current project, let’s hope so!

So far we have a programmer (me), and an artist (Rohan Narang). If you are great with sound, and/or music, let us know, we’d love to build our team!

As far as tools go, we’ll be using Unity/C# with some plugins we’ve designed to make things easier, like sprite tiling, WAV editing, etc. As far as actual game code, everything will be from scratch.

I’m not sure what Rohan will be using for art, but I’m guessing GIMP. If we can’t find a sound tech, I’ll be using SFXR/BFXR and Audacity for the sound, and music.

Best of luck to you all, we’re really excited!!

I’m in!

Hey guys!

I’m a young game developer. I’ve always had a knack for computer. When I was a really young age I remember creating a console program that would reverse a string input. I thought it was quite cool! I’ve been programming for 6 years total now that may be more than some of the adults here have. For a little over a year now I’ve been primarily focused in C# and Java, I do also know C++ and a few other high level scripting languages like Python.

Let’s get to know a little bit about me, eh. My favourite color has always been and will always be Cyan! If you haven’t noticed yet I’m from the snowy region of Canada which coincidentally it isn’t even snowing here although it is quite cold. I enjoy a multitude of games such as RPG’s but by far my favourite types of games are Simulation games such as the Sims Series, Zoo Tycoon, Kerbal Space Studio, Theme Park Studio, but my most favourite game series and probably the game series that has brought me weeks of joy is the Roller Coaster Tycoon series and I’m waiting ecstatically for Roller Coaster Tycoon World!

With Ludum Dare this week, everyone’s getting everything ready (it’s like Christmas xD) and I’d like to announce that I’m in! This will be my second Ludum Dare and this time I’ll be doing the compo instead of the jam like last time.

I’ll be using:

  1. C#
  2. Unity3D 5.4b
  3. GraphicsGale and Paint.NET
  4. Audacity
  5. SFXR and BFXR

I wish everyone the best of luck.

May the odds be in my favor,

Haha, thanks for the nice words! Best of luck to you too.

We’re in! (probably)

Third LD for us, a small team of one coder and one coder/artist/sound guy. Missed the last LD, but we did the previous two with “Massacre Monday” and “Glorch’s Great Escape.”

Hoping to try something different again, and of course make the top 100 again! There are quite a few interesting themes in the voting this time around, so feeling excited and hopeful.  Will probably end up doing something in Haxeflixel again, but we’ll see what ideas spring up.

Practice, practice, practice

I have done a LOT of game dev work these past few weeks. Starting with finishing an old project, mini-ld66, gitkraken contest/ld-warmup, and further updates to projects. I feel it is so helpful to warm up before the actual LD because it gets your creative muscles ready for the event.

I just finished and released V1.1 for web of my GitTheKraken endless runner. I added two powerups and made some fixes / changes that were some things negatively critiqued on. Tomorrow I plan to add even more stuff to it.  (I plan to update the source code link on the page in the morning, so tired haha)

What would you like to see added?
