Team Sadbrains and Pixelbear are back!

…And we’re making something even more disgusting than last time. We were trying to think of something weird and out of the box for our game (and obviously vile), and we finally came up with the idea that you only have your virginity once.

Today has mostly been me, Pixelbear, programming the game from the ground up due to Lianne of Team Sadbrains being 13 hours ahead of me, and only just woke up a few hours ago. Gameplay wise, it’s pretty much done. We went for a Warioware style game; less childish though!

On another note, we asked Twitter to give us some sex noises for the last parts of the story, and oh golly did they provide. We were laughing for minutes with some of the sounds we received – everyone that provided sound clips will be included in the credits, and forever be loved by us.

Finally, here’s a screenshot of the main menu (WIP), drawn by the lovely Lianne:

We are horrible people.

Doing something different.

After 3 Ludum Dares completed (read: screwed up) using Scratch and App Inventor, I decided I should do something different this time.

I am making a series of html pages, inspired by the Jodi art collective, which will have gifs and javascript lagging everything up. Does not contain viruses. May contain inefficiency, due to my unknowledge of CSS, and my reliance on table nesting to create pretty effects.

I am not quite sure what the game will be about yet, though.

Oh well.

Design-wise, things are coming together

I just spent about three hours working on getting Jenkins all set up and I regret wasting so much time.  Originally, the plan was to get everything set up and running before I even started, but I was pretty tired so I tried to get just a few hours of sleep and get back to setting up, which didn’t happen.  Anyway, that’s done, now, and I have to continue to push through.

Here’s a nice image of my whiteboard:

It's a whiteboard!

It’s a whiteboard!

As you can see, there’s quite a conservative approach to the game.  I think I’ll have to get rid of at least 1/3 of the essential list before I’m done.  I’ll just keep going until I can’t keep my eyes open (that or collapse into a mess on the floor).

First version of art designs

So I finished my first set of designs. Maybe I will change a menu a little bit and I have to add new visuals for game info and about us.

Meanwhile we struglle with Unity4. Try to animate objects in 2D and it was hell so far.Hopefully we will manage it somewhow.

So finger cross.

Small update, you can now climb in the helicopter and jump out.

And because you can’t just code the whole day, I’ve made some music for our game.

But now back to the code…

Progress Update

You only get one… working on a story driven game.

Magpie!

Together with Moose I started working on Magpie (working title?).

So far, we got the concept worked out, the basics of the dungeon generation are down and we can move around :) Nothing too fancy yet in gameplay terms, but it’s a decent foundation!

magpie_still

You can see it move in this oversized GIF (20 mb!)

Wifi Card Woes

My wifi card almost died last night in the middle of a stream. Hopefully The same won’t happen again today. So far I have a thing which cycles through every color and changes the background to that color. I’ll make another gif when its less annoying to look at and has the actual bullet-hell stuff put in.

In the meantime, that stream I do that I mentioned: http://www.twitch.tv/kontrol_keal

Engine finished !

Just had a very productive couple of hours. Got some core systems working including character swaps for player select and decided to work that into a new mechanic… feature creep!

Planning to get the core game down tonight before 10ish and then balance till the early hours. Do audio and scenes tomorrow. That’s a dev plan that is

Enjoying making this more than I thought. Not really a fan of the theme but it is coming together well. :)

Hope you are all doing fine! keep up the pace!

Jump Chip Go Kaboomy

I should probably stop making Jifs and work on the game… But looking at gifs does make it easy to identify places I’ll need to add polish later (like when teleporting, and the disturbing lack of particles!)

Finally, this year.

For the past few years I’ve entered LD48, but from the safety of my own dropbox. Never put anything out to the public, but mainly because could never get anything finished!

This year I’ve had a really short amount of time in between my regular day job and as much as I’d have loved to spend the entire 48 hours on something, I can’t. So whilst sitting bored at work I came up with a little idea, something I could complete within the few short hours I had to hand and something that fits the theme. This was good enough for me!

screen

Here it is, a little game about choice. Ten little endings and a few jokes thrown in! I’m just happy I’ve got something done for this, finally.

Check it out here.

Now I’m back off to work!

Cheers, Ad.

One minute hero – #1

perso_idle

While we build the game, our little astronaut is so bored !

We’re going to make a game ’bout : “You get only…” One minute to finish the level ! We’ll make some random things and stuff that’ll make replayability interesting. It’ll be a 2D plateformer made with Unity.

Not much to look at, but…

Good morning! Or, good evening! Or whatever it is for you right now!

So I’ve settled on doing a roguelike with some relatively heavy random generation for a game jam, and it’s coming along all right. A bit behind, but all right…

There’s not much to see yet, but here’s a glimpse at ($SRCROOT)\dungeon (“Source Root Slash Dungeon”):

The monsters are alive

The monsters now walk around, attack and chase the player if attacked. I also added full animations, so it’s no longer jumping from tile to tile.

Hello again!

This time a little sneak peak!

Wait… What is that in the corner?

Status update #1

Hey guys, I have been awfully quit since launch. We came up with an idea after an hour and we have kept it this far.
We are super hyped about and we find it so much fun to develop this game.
The essential boils down to; You have a loan from a loanshark. You have one day to get the money to him or he will kill you and everyone you love.
You decided that you need to steal the money from others.
Yeah that is as far as we have come…
I have everyone is enjoying themself and having a good time.

If I tried to do a nice art style like this, I’d be spending most of the 48 on like two screens. Kudos!

This looks really nice!

just thought…

..I didn’t actually mention what my game is about yet! just replied to a friend on twitter and realised this fact.

It is a puzzle/adventure game. It is called “OUR FINAL CHANCE” and the player takes the role of one of 5 scientists in their last attempt to save the world from an impending disaster!

It is currently based on a countdown timer. The scientists have to work various machines to increase their chances of stopping the disaster from their super lab. Once the player thinks they have a high enough prediction to take on the disaster they can throw a final switch and sit back to either watch the world end… or success!

Pretty good fun :)

Progress update for today

So. My first LD. This is what I have so far:

ld

* Assets for pretty much everything

* A basic room system, including loading them from files and moving in them

* Five rooms so far with ideas and code for most of the later ones

* The idea and basic structure planned out

The idea is that you are a robot thing trapped in a dungeon of some sort, but you only have one bullet/ammo/whatever which is required later so you are forced to deal with enemies in creative ways.

I’m feeling pretty hopeful for finishing tomorrow. Controls and collision detection still need some tweaking, so it kind of requires that. Oh, music too.

Stuff I used so far:

* Java

* Eclipse

* The default libraries

* Paint.net

* Notepad

Progress Report!

Hi guys ‘n gals,

It’s been a busy day and i am confident my game is going somewhere!

Current status:
– PuzzleElement: Done but could be expanded (if time)
– Artwork.. uhmm… not yet 😛
– Controls: reworking those to make the game mobile friendly

So yeah, it’s coming along nicely. I hope to have a webplayer later today to show off what i’m doing!

Dinner time now!!

Adding the gameplay 10% Done

Starting on the main gameplay bit, I’m going to have to go shopping soon though, so the chances are I’m not going to get this finished this weekend.

Still, here is a screenshotProgress2

Well thanks for pointing that out, my grammar isn’t the best.

You Only Get One… Mutation!

After many hours mechanic is almost ready. Now it’s time for best part: graphics 😀

Placeholders everywhere!

Oh no! Art!

Hi

Ha ha, I just realized/remembered: we have to make all our own assets! I had somehow come under the impression that using creative commons or other existing assets would be OK. Oops!

No problem: just means its time to fire up the ol’ puzzle-script editor (that’s about the degree of graphics I feel confident producing ^o^//).

Gonna make it. Gonna make it.

Totally original

A top-down game with Zombies.  I’m really thinking outside the box on this one.  But it’s working…… so that’s something.

CGA is fun!

Wrote myself a tool to convert true-colour BMPs to CGA compatible blits and I have a fast and simple CGA blitter now. I need to draw more stuff!

Also, it appears I will have to load bigger graphics from disk on-the-fly rather than cache them given 64kb memory limit! I don’t want to deal with far pointers, oh no!

It’s about time!

So I figured, it’s about time I post a little progress on my game. It’s gonna be a 2d platformer, where you are given a certain amount of utilities to get through the room (one of each 😉 )

I hope you enjoy the screenshot and happy developing to everyone there!
Unbenannt

Wrapping up day 1!

So after a few hours of brainstorming ideas (ok, that took way more time than I wanted) – we decided to settle on “You only have one planet”, so don’t let it go to waste!
The game is about saving earth from pollution, overpopulation, and… aliens. Also, asteroids.
In case the genre isn’t obvious from that – the game is a tower defense-ish thing, where you have to build stuff (from giant mutated redwood for controlling pollution to hugeass nuclear reactor for gathering energy to laser cannons for killing aliens), while keeping in mind your population and pollution problem (which are related themselves). Too much of any, and your only planet goes to waste!
Here’s a screenie (Yeah, I know, not much work done today):

Game update: Day 1ish.

Player movement is down, along with animation, and 10 random items are in place. I still have to program wolves and other enemies, and then make the system mesh together.  That will probably be the most difficult part. Besides the fire spreading mechanic.

For this game it feels like it’s going to be a mix of Don’t Starve and Spelunky, which doesn’t sound terrible. Now if I can just finish on time…

Basic game

Here is my game so far. Need to add more monsters, generate endless map and then try to make better sprites.

So my ideas were far to complex for so little time, so I practically wasted my first night.

Time to restart :p

Real life sometimes get in the way…

So with events going on and the fact that I was super tired today, I didn’t get much work on the game. I did get something however:

Not much but I’m proud 😛

Last post of the day, and a cool looking game

I am about to go to bed, its nearly midnight and I have had a fun day one. I have started 3 games today, one of which I spent 13 hours on before ditching.

The current game I am REALLY liking. I’m not amazing at art, nor are the graphics finished but I like the way this game is looking:

Space2As you can see the space ship is still a placeholder, but space itself looks great with misty gas clouds and asteroids everywhere. The stars fly past you as well in the game. And of course my lovely wingtip trails of epicness.

You can just see in front of the space ship is another space ship in the distance. That is a fully AI controlled space ship, marking my first ever successful swim in the AI side of programming.

I really am quite proud of it! If you think it looks nice please give me a heart to tell me, and goodnight!

Joining late

I decided I’d try this ludum dare (my first!), even if I only get a little over a day.

(title screen, maybe)

The game is called ㄏㄠˇㄆㄥˊㄧㄡˇ (好朋友), it’s about your best friend.

Here is the music for the game.

This is going pretty well.

1My game is looking ok and it seems to work well. The only problem is that I have no idea how I’ll shuffle the theme in to it. My main character I have christened “Rick”.

It’s playable here.

Announcing Jam Game

After finishing my compo entry tomorrow, I will be collaborating with scheurneus on a jam entry called “One Dish”. Hope you’ll check it out and have a nice day.

Some progress

Good morning/evening! This is my first time I participate at Ludum Dare :)

I hope it’s good enough for the Ludum Dare, because I think it’s not so good like the other games :(

Though I try it with a game where you only have 1 bullet and you need to use it wisely. Here is a first Screenshot:

Hard to see, but there is collission.

Updating light right now :)

Earning dolla dolla

I’ve decided to remove health, happyness and hunger as mechanics. It didn’t really fit with it being an idle game and required to much active attention. The game already has a better feel now without them and the mechanics are coming together in a nice cohesive gordian knot of code. I’ve added the ability to automatically gather garbage through garbage collecting employees. This required quite a bit of boilerplate code that will make future rate type things very simple to do, but it took me ages to figure out the math.

Really this is just a short check-in to organize my thoughts and keep with the spirit of sharing my development progress. I’ll be returning to work, but right now I need a break! Skyrim me thinks. I know, I know, dangerous right!

Things are starting to come along nicely…

After my nap I was able to integrate some basic AI for the zombies, and get in a game over screen. Read more about my progress here:

Also, feel free to enjoy this “beautiful” screenshot 😉

Post3Screen1

Anyway, I’ll probably be uploading a playable version of the game to my site around 9pm EST, if you want to try it out.

Quick update

So, here’s a little update of my progress. The gameplay is nearly finished. The game is a space invaders like game with only one button to control! Every time you press the button the button will have a new random function (move in 1 of 4 directions or fire). You can see a preview of the next two moves to plan your moves. The goal is (obviously) to destroy all enemy thingies by shooting them. Right now I’m working on some game logic like scores and level progression.

i think ive forgotten how to code

i even had to google how to do random numbers :)

maybe im just getting old.. new things have pushed the old out (ala homer)

all the basics are what is taking up all my time

i managed to have a moving red square on the screen ..YES!

This is my plan so far. The design is there, but I have no idea what the details should be. Not quite sure what it has to do with the theme either, but yoho (you only have one (topkek)).

plan

as you can see it is all going well

The extra placeholder graphics!!!

Screenshot 4

While everybody makes the game nice-looking, I made the game nice-working. I might say I finised the gameplay. It’s fully playable! But, erm, it’s very confusing to play.

Here is what I’ve got so far:

  • All map.
  • All characters. But no phrases or names yet.
  • Saving and loading. Take a nap to save. :)

Here is what I might do soon:

  • Names.
  • Short phrases.
  • Random dialogues.

Here is what I will do tomorrow:

  • Graphics.
  • Cutscenes.
  • Music.

Assault Checkers: You Only Get One

Hello, I’m Peter, and I plan to work on a game this weekend as a game jam entry. My working title is Assault Checkers: You Only Get One Venomous Cobra (Live At Budokan) and I plan to stream all development efforts (minus the ugly setup time), starting now at http://www.twitch.tv/livecodingtv.

My idea has been to do a very simple game with a twist, molded to fit the Ludum Dare theme. I was thinking of making the classic board game Checkers, as it’s simple enough to be implemented quickly, which then allows time for it to be corrupted to fit the theme.

When I read the theme was to be “You Only Get One,” it was a meh/letdown moment. How would I work this into Checkers? One board? One loss? One 8 Mile shot, do not miss your chance to blow, this opportunity comes once in a lifetime?

Terrible.

Then I had a flash of inspiration: You only get one venomous cobra. In Checkers. Presumably, you would deploy your cobra under the checkers table as a last ditch effort to disqualify your opponent in a losing situation, or to make a quick escape, or perhaps give the venomous cobra away as a bribe or wedding dowry.

I’m still working with the idea, it’s early in the weekend, I’m procrastinating. But so far it sounds like this (“you only get one venomous cobra”) is the winner.

Watch me as I stream the development of Assault Checkers: You Only Get One Venomous Cobra (Live At Budokan):

Stream: http://www.twitch.tv/livecodingtv
Trello board (tracking progress): https://trello.com/b/OdRYWBws/assault-checkers
Game URL: http://assault-checkers-ludum-dare.herokuapp.com/ (currently just a placeholder)
My technology stack: no-frills-HTML4 + light JavaScript, server side will be Ruby on Rails used badly.
Day 1 goal: (check!)procrastinate
Day 2 goal: finish core Checkers mechanics.
Day 2+ goal: add pizazz and fairy dust.

progress…

Am I the only one who’s really excited to finally have a couple of moving boxes on a flat plane?

Looking at everyone else’s screenshots I’m starting to feel a little behind the curve.

Baby Sim 2k14 Update #1

After oversleeping and only getting an additional 3 hours of work in, bringing the total to 5, I’m seeing quite a bit of progress made on the simulator! Right now I’m still building the tutorial but most of my time has been devoted toward getting the base in place rather than writing content. Now that the base is almost completely finished, all I’ll have to do is write the dialogue and fine tune the events!

jobs

As I had guessed before, this is getting out of hand pretty quickly, but I’m having a lot of fun with it! As for right now, I’m going to run and get a coffee and some food!

If you’re interested in watching development, watch the livestream! I hope to have a playable demo up by the end of the night!

Working on LD28

Progress

Here’s my game so far. The concept is that you only get one enemy, so you have to keep it alive. Obviously it wants to kill you, but letting it die would be like killing an endangered species. You’re not a monster, are you???

screen1

Right now, all you do is goad it into attacking you so it doesn’t hit the scenery and die. Eventually I’d like to add some more interesting challenges, and maybe some kind of repulsion ability to counteract the enemy’s attraction to you.

Decided on a theme, started working.

So for the theme i decided to intemperate it as you only have one job.

My game will be called “You Had One Job”

In it you play as a factory worker named Bill who is in charge of stamping the right labels on products as they go by a conveyor belt.

If you put the wrong label on a product you lose.

Without further ado, meet bill!

Bill the Factory Worker

Bill!

Goddamned ArrayLists

Goddammit, C#. Why you gotta be like this. I’m better off with you than with Java, but still, why you gotta do this to me, man? All I want to do is make an ArrayList. It’s not a complex concept. This, shockingly, involves parentheses. Why don’t you expect them? You should expect parentheses more often. They’re a part of life.

    public ArrayList partyActivities = new ArrayList();
partyActivities.Add(getDrink);
partyActivities.Add(wistfullyGazeOutWindow);
partyActivities.Add(examineBooks);

public ArrayList targetActivities = new ArrayList();
targetActivities.Add(swapBooks);
targetActivities.Add(drugDrink);
targetActivities.Add(hideInBathroom);

And unity spits out an error on those saying “Unexpected symbol ‘(‘ in class, struct, or interface member declaration” for every open and closed parenthesis, for every Add(); function call.

Goddammit C#.

Another build. Finished for today.

Decided to give myself a break since I can’t think today.
Here, have some progress
I made some enemies and you can die if you stay too long in water. You can also shoot lasers, which I mentioned in earlier post.

Guess I’ll do extreme mapping tomorrow, along with rest of finishing touches.

My First Ever Game

Ok, so I have never made a game in my life, although I have always wanted to.

Using Ludum Dare to finally create my first ever game. :)  I have decided to develop the game in HTML5.  Hopefully, if I have enough time, I should be able to add touch screen support and have my game playable on smartphones as well as PC. :)

First screenshot.

First screenshot.

Ok, I guess that’s the idea

Spent since the theme announcement brainstorming, just to get back to the first idea we had…

So, you’re a action hero, like those from the old action movies that can kills entire armies and solve all the problems by yourself.

Some random mission has appeared, and only you can solve it!

“The daughter of the president has been kidnapped and only you can save her!”

or

“The bomb is armed and only you can get to it in time!”

“There is a meteor coming for the white house and only you can destroy it!”

They ask:

“You much time do you need to do this?”

You have a few options, 3 minutes, 5 minutes, 10 minutes… but whatever you answer…

“YOU ONLY GET ONE”

It’d be a beat’em up/shooter, not sure if top down or 3rd person yet, just know for sure it won’t be first person. Randomly generated environments, not very long, since you’ll only have 1 minute for each mission.

So, that’s the idea, here is to hoping I can actually get it done before time is up D:

First LD!

I finally have a weekend to myself that coincides with an LD competition. I’ve always loved TBS games since I’m not (usually) that great at fast paced games. Maybe in my younger days, haha.  😉  Anyways, here’s the details of my first game. I know it’s not overly complex, but it’s my first LD game and I’m gonna be damn proud of it!

Name: Power Defense

Style: TBS/Tower Defense

Objective: You only get one Power Crystal to keep your base up and running! Defend it with your life against the onslaught of enemies! You have a crew of units you can command and you can build walls and defensive towers. Survive as long as you can!

Tools: Unity, MS Paint

Technical Difficulties?

Well, my Game Maker license just failed for no apparent reason and I am now filing a help request on the website. Hopefully this can be resolved soon and doesn’t delay any work. If you have any advice, let me know!

First time; Hitting the ground sleeping.

So after a very good nights sleep, having gone to bed approximately half an hour before learning of the topic for this event I have been working since noon!

To begin with I had no idea what I would be making, but slowly an idea has been emerging…  For now I shall leave you with a small tease while I get to making some game mechanics!

Batty, the Bat.

Oh dear

I’m nowhere near finishing it…

A dating game

Ok, so i came up with the idea for LD48 to do a dating game. The idea is to make the best first impression learning clues from the people roaming the mall where you’re getting prepared for your date. Everyone knows your date but you, and everyone will try to help you out with suggestions about what the date likes or not.

Customization and talking is all you must do. Let’s see if it evolves into something fun.

You only get one fruit!

So I created programmer style sprites, yes I suck at art. I then decided that the point of my game would be to carry your fruit throughout the platformer to the end of the game, avoiding monsters and dangers.

Here are my horrible sprites!

Modeling

I spend the past 8 hours modeling, rigging, texturing and animating a Justin Bieber model. I can honestly say I have never been so sick of a pop singer before in my life. At least I get to go back to programming now.

Good morning Sunday

This is just a copy / paste of my blog post from www.acheronstudio.com

Realistically speaking there’s really only 12 good hours left, since tomorrow is Monday. Which is fine.

To do list:

Breakfast
Coffee
Finish 48 hour game

For now I’m going to work on an actual level with a few rooms. You have to finish a puzzle to get to the next room. Kind of like a first person Zelda inspired dungeon, but without any combat. Or portal, but without the portal gun (definitely going to add teleports though).

Still not sure how I’m going to incorporate the theme of You Only Get One. I’m leaning on one light source, or one companion (cube). We’ll see how things go. I’m hoping I’ll have some kinda of epiphany as time goes on.

Update #2 – Only One Torch

Game mechanics about half finished, most sound effects in  place, graphics to be finished

Having some trouble with Audio in my engine, I’ve never used positional audio before and it seems about 1/3 times I run the game the sound library isn’t found. As it stands, 1/3 of all testers/reviewers won’t be able to hear me making zombie noises :'(

I really want to finish this one

There is this giant coming to your village and the only way to stop him is to hit in his weak spot. But the only sword in the village is to weak and will last only one hit(except hitting the air) and the arrow maker runway and he left only one arrow, so you don’t have many chances

Creature Diplomacy!

This is our first time doing the jam. Our two person team is composed of a Unity developer and a digital artist. Our plan so far is

  • Day 1: Watch That 70’s Show until an idea magically appears
  • Day 2: Draw, draw, draw, panic, panic, panic. Maybe code.
  • Day 3: tweak and contemplate all the bad choices I’ve made in life.

So far it seems our idea boils down to:

  • A point and click game in which you can only feed one treat each creature under your care once. Remembering which have already been fed is the challenge. These creatures are obsessively equalitarian and get mad if anyone gets more than their fair share.

We’ll be using Unity, Adobe CC, cfxr and Garageband.

==> Play now! (WebGL required) <==

I found this theme very challenging. All ideas were either way too narrow to be fun, or way too broad to be restricting at all. While I was trying to figure out what kind of game to make, I implemented the WebGL framework I needed in Dart, which involves quite a lot of heavy lifting, including having to write shaders. WebGL gives you almost nothing for free.

Once I had the framework up and running, I had no idea what game to make, so I temporarily ditched what I had to try out another idea. That idea sucked, so I went back to the original mess and slowly over the day turned it into a game about santa claus having to gather wood in order to be able to create all the toys he will soon distribute.

Tomorrow, I will tweak and try to balance the gameplay, add a titlescreen and a game over screen, and look into getting some sounds in there. For once, I’m not worried about running out of time.

About 12 hours into it, and…

… this has not much sense. You are chased by some kind of fighters and you can create a single black hole at a time. Enemies are captured in this void. Also, they target and shoot at you, although I don’t really like that mechanic… neither the whole idea, anyway.

blackhole

A blackhole sucking enemies in.

It’s the last time I enter a Ludum Dare playing with vectors, physics and forces X(

Plus, and for who knows what reason, Unity has decided that it won’t create a build. Neither native nor web. The .unity3d file is only 32Kb and doesn’t work. I managed to get a Windows native .exe and sprites were not showing. GREAT.

Time to go to bed :'(

It’s meant to be an arena where enemies stream in constantly. You only get one disc that you can throw at them, then you are vulnerable and have to go retrieve it.

My progress today!

That’s it. My progress for today! It may be not much, but I did some technical (which was useless afterwards) code. I am also terrible at art.

What I did:

  • made a game!
  • made enemys!
  • did tecnical collision code and stuff!
  • adding stuff is now  “easy”!

What I am planning:

  • store(currently developing)!
  • better “wave” system!
  • More enemys!
  • difficulty(right now you can’t die. You are even better than Jesus at the moment)!
  • buildings!
  • base!

Man, I got some stuff to do! I am not sure if I get that completed… I hope so!
I can always strike all those things, and “finish” the game. It’s depending on tomorrow. I don’t think I am going to code now… even if it’s not even 9 PM. “When sleep comes, you quit. Or you go to your clouset and get an huge adventure.  — Pajama Sam, somewhere when I was 5”
Today was besides fun. As Ludum Dare is mended to be. If I don’t finish this in time, I at least had fun and I made a game(or something).

First Ludum Dare is already awesome!

Making a kind of a music game. You have to repeat melody sequence generated by the computer (he’s pretty good at writing music actially) with only ONE touch / click!

It’s much like a casual game like old good match-three, but instead of selection tiles with the same color, we have to connect them in the right order as they have different sounds.

As a theme – You Got Only One Touch!

Music generator and sequence checker are ready, no it’s time to make some asset stuff.
I’m using a bit of CC stuff so I’ll submit it as a Jam!

Cheers!

Progress so far!

I started a day late! this is my progress after about 2 hours :P. My game is a puzzler where you must make your way through each level, avoiding enemy guards and such, you will have to kill at least one of the guards on each level, but which one?!

foryou

Basic tiles, gonna work on making them look prettier and I need to start on colisisons :)

Enough Playing with Random Boxes

Time to play with some non-random boxes!

I’ve implemented an entity system, and a basic collision test, and this is the first demonstration of all the pieces of what makes up an entity coming together on-screen.

Ehh, never mind.

Can’t work out a good way of visually conveying the important things in my game (I can’t art to save my life), so calling it quits for now. I should have stuck to something that required no artwork! Might do some interactive fiction tomorrow if I’m feeling inspired.

Have a great rest of weekend, everyone!
