Still thinking
Tbh I actually forgot about LD completely and literally yesterday I was suddenly like "hmmm gotta check how's LD doing" and realised it's tomorrow lol

It will be such a great jam again again, or will it? :eyeglasses:
I will be "in" as people say in the next project of @kartoffel_licht :potato: , once again beeing THE MAN THAT MASS PRODUCES SPRITES (for the first six hours as the productivity rate tends to exponentionaly decrease with every second which is the first reason of doubt...
Also there wont be the magical third group member who comes mid-day-two like always and spews out an actually good looking main character sprites... :walking:
Also Also programmer man will probably ditch me several times throughout the jam leading to seperation anxiety, as you know, HES THE ONE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SPRITES BEEING USED... :broken_heart:
Also osla he desires real music and will spend some good game-making hours to jam out in musiscore. :speaker:
But there are also benefits to this one: Since ive had several pixel art practises through many different projects ive initiated lately, :art: and will get a better oohlala :twohearts: alone-time with the code guy, strenthening our bond and dependance on eachother even further, making me his ultimatum partner in the friend group getting me front seat for when we TAKE OVER THE WORLD... :greenbook: Oh also Java should make game developement easier for both of us :blue_book:
I can already imagine everything...
Day one will go :chart: Get theme -> "Mass conflict" -> Draw sketches -> "Hey i can work with this pixel size" -> Mass produce 40 sprites -> ex haust
Day two will go
Start making further, bigger, stronger developements -> Get lazily lost midway through -> barely finish at the end of the
da...
DAY THREE, CRACKERS HOW DID W... :scream_cat: RADON MAKE THIS SPRITE, KERSON WHERES THE DAMN GAME, IT BROKE, IT BROKE?!, oh its cool now, oh, GET THE SPRITES AND SOUND EFFECTS, *vomits sprites and sfx, COOL I WONT BE ABLE TO USE HALF OF THESE
And three days later we will submit the game to tobugis and see how stupidly hard/buggy we made it. :v:
Still jam is jam and ludum is always a fun expirience and i will finaly get to expand the spicy hot chocolate universe lore. :mushroom: And the Gerald lore: Heres some fun images from our previous games "Curse of shrinking (SHC 2)" and "Spicy hot chocolate"
because why not?

The lads and I are still recovering from a jam 2 week ago, but that won't stop us from joining the LD festivities!
We'll be streaming our entire process as usual over at https://www.twitch.tv/coleslawski. Feel free to say hello, check out our latest builds, share your progress, or just scream into the void.
See y'all in the trenches in a few hours! :pointright: :cowboy: :pointright:
Unfortunatly I need to work monday 😭 so I don't now if I don't know if I will be able to submit something for the jam but maybe for the extra.
Good luck everyone ! 🙂
Please be companion. I might just make a game about companions regardless of the chosen theme... As the great gaming sages say:
"It's better to make a game about the wrong thing than no game at all" - Anonymous
I HAVE NEVER BEEN WRONG. DON'T LET ANYONE TELL YOU OTHERWISE. GET IN HERE

Solo dev with Godot Engine C#, Aseprite, LMMS on a Ubuntu machine 🙂
Good luck everyone !
Well, I will try to realize the ideas on jam using gzdoom. Good luck to all!
I think I might have lots of other stuff I really ought to be doing...
...yet again, here we are...
Thinking of using this clone of the oldschool MSPaint for graphics.
Probably going for a certain minimalist black&white dither-look for the COMPO.

It'll be 04:00 AM here when the theme drops, and already feeling drowsy!
Goodnight!
Looking forwards to the scurry
If you use Cave Engine, I've made a starter project with a bunch of non specific but essential system to help you get started with the Jam, such as a Main Menu, Pause Menu, Game Over and Next Level Screen, etc.
https://youtu.be/IkXPFWVo0pg
You will obviously still have to make the entire game yourself, that's the point of the jam, but this Project will definitely help you getting it started and deliver a more polished final product in the end. I hope you enjoy it!
(PS: If you don't have Cave, it's an easy to use, 3D game engine for PC, written in C++ and scriptable in Python and it's currently 30% OFF)
im planning to use pygame and tiled for the game im making so wish me luck :V
Excited for LD57 with a couple of new teammates! We plan to use the Godot game engine in the 3 day category, and I might use Finale or PxTone for original music again. Have not gotten around to replacing Finale yet ...
I plan live-stream demoing our game, then play and review other entries each Tuesday this month. If you want to be alerted when I go live and have your game played on stream, please follow https://www.twitch.tv/vorceshard. I look forward to seeing what everyone makes!
Turned 50 two weeks back and decided to join a Jam after ten years, wish me good luck!
Well, back in action - gamejam again.
Goyda, brothers and sisters of the 3-day affliction.
i want to participate in this ludum dare game jam and it's my first time i will be using the stride game engine and i want tips for the jam
Game Dev is my passion and I hope it will become my main occupation! I'm creating small games using Construct 3. If you are using Construct 3 as well, give me a like xD
I am going in with no preparation this week end. Really excited to participate in one more edition. I'll be making some very simple html5/p5js game, I'll probably borrow the game play from a know game with some twist. I tried to progress in my game-dev journey every edition so my golas ( ;) Dune typo ) for this LD :
As always everything I'll do will be on committed thoroughly on Github, if you use Github as well you may use the following topics and shields to decorate your repository :

Good luck to you, I can't wait for the reviewing phase (my fav part, is seeing what all of you are making!)
We're really excited to participate once again ! This will be our third Ludum Dare. We've learned quite a lot from our past experiences. We'll try not to be too ambitious, we tend to have too many ideas that we struggle to include in such a short time :p ! This year we're a four members team.
Can't wait to try everyone's games too !
