On Ludum Dare?

Yep, while I am bad at making things at such tight schedules, I gonna try, yo. Does not hurt to do. I have some ideas I could try, and things I never tried before... Like Unity

How will Uneven do Ludum Dare?

larrythonk.png Good question.

In around 20 mins or so as of writting this post, Ludum Dare 43 will start, my first ever time in a jam such as LD. Currently, I have 0 idea of what i'll make, and that's good, I'll see what i'll make when the time starts.

Currently, I'll be using this software:

  • Aseprite: Makes my art!

  • Blender: Does my 3D, in case I do 3D. I like it.

  • Visual Studio 2017: Edits da code for...

  • Unity Engine: Which i'll attempt to use, since does not hurt to go nuts on a jam.

  • Linux Multimedia Station: Music. Blam bow!

  • BXFR: Beep! Boop!

Other than that, I don't know what else i'll use! Hope you all have a great time, and make a game you all can play and say "wow, it be game to play!". Let the jam begin!

LD44, themes, and evolution

Yep! I'm joining this one. Pushing myself to the limit is the best way to actually get the ball rolling. (and work more on a certain game about a ball)

So there has been some controversy surrounding the themes sucking. That's fine, I'm joining to have fun, even if I have to work with a theme like "player must eat 4 burgers each square meter they travel on the desert bus". Ok, that was very specific, but you get the idea. Just use imagination or something.

And I hope to give you guys a better game than last time. Like, something actually playable. ~~Maybe james 2~~

See ya!

Ludum Dare 48

Daring After So Long

It's been years ever since I last tried Ludum Dare. I had gained a small fear of game jams due to how awful the 'finished' thing had gotten (you couldn't even destroy the bad guys in the game!) and for the longest time avoided all of them.

Then suddenly time ago I participated on the Grow-ON Jam and had good fun making a game. Maybe it was because I liked Grow games, or I had become more experienced with making games and art, alas, there was a spark in me to go after making tiny games. So I'm joining LD48 to make one of them. It'll be a simple short RPG, with weird and cool looking bad guys and a protagonist up to teach 'em a few lessons. Just a base that the theme could assist with instead of making it hard for me.

For sure though, practicing before it starts is gonna help a lot.. Getting better focus, brushing up on my tools more, if it'll be a trainwreck it may as well be beautiful
