I'm in!
This is my first Ludum Dare and I am very excited to see how it goes!
This is my first Ludum Dare and I am very excited to see how it goes!
The jam is 1/3 finished, so i decided to run a progress report for my game. I haven't posted anything about my game yet, but the logic is quite interesting. I plan to make my game take place in a computer running out of power, and then puzzles must be solved in order to turn back on the power, and win.
Here's a screenshot of the main screen featuring one of the mathematical puzzles.

After 45 Hours and 40 Minutes, I have finished the first (mostly) stable version of my game.

In my google drive folder, I include the .jar file, and two google forums. One is a bug report, and one is a feedback survey so i can do better next time. I hope my game is enjoyed!
Ludum Dare is now 2/3 in! So far I have a stable version of my game released, and I am really impressed because I didn't think i would be able to do this. Tomorrow I plan to add even more sequence puzzles, and hopefully i'll manage to add in a random puzzle generator and a path-finding algorithm to compile the mazes.
Here is a link to my Google Drive folder for LD 39. The folder contains a .jar file, and two surveys. One is a bug report and the other is a game review so my next one can be better.

Here's Two Screenshots!
Basic Screen displaying an arithmetic puzzle
Game-Over Screen Glitching onto the main puzzle (not everything is going perfectly, but it all functions)
With only 3 Hours left, my maze generator works, but not correctly. Here's a screenshot of the maze my algorithm created. I hope i can get this working before the time runs out :pensive:

With 15 Minutes to the deadline, I have released my game, and I am proud of it even though i couldn't get the maze function to work.

This is gonna be my second Ludum Dare and my system is gonna be more organised now so hopefully i'll do much better than i did last time.
I have spent most of today working on art. I have made three screens so far, one a home screen, one an instructions screen, and one a credits screen. My timezone is EST (UTC-5) (the game was released at 9pm) so i'm falling a bit behind, but I still have Sunday and Monday so I be able to get it together.

Sure they're somewhat bad, but I'm no artist. If you have any criticism on any of the pictures, please tell me! As I said, i'm no artist, and I'd love to make this as great as possible.
This year I'm going to be working with two other people on a team, and I was wondering if there was anything i needed to do to mark the game as team-made instead of just made by me.
UPDATE: Problem Solved!
