Going to be going in too!
Now, to learn something more about vector art and animation and I'll be ready to go. Perhaps anyone has some quick tips for Affinity Designer? ;)

Done some last minute learning of Affinity Designer. Ain't gonna make anything too pretty, but I think I can generate some sprites that are not god awful now and, what's most important, mine. Now, animating characters... Thaaat's going to be a different story.
So, what's your opinion? What's better for a newcomer to graphics throw themselves in, some in Unity tool like Anima2D or go out with Spriter Pro?
I just realized I've barely done research about GarageBand in the meantime. Gaah. This game jam is going to be a clusterfuck.
I know I can just go out and get some assets - but I want to make fully my own game, even if it means not making a really good end product by the end of the jam. I'm comfortable with just sending the game with placeholders if it comes down to it, really.
It's been too long since I've actually sat down and made a game from scratch. Am I taking too many unknowns? Probably. I've barely ever made 2D games, I've never done graphics, and I've certainly never scratched music.
Still, let's go. Let's have a good one. :)

Hey there everyone! I finally got up and published the game on LD website. You can check it out here: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/42/$100585
I also wrote Post Mortem about the gamejam if you're interested in that kind of stuff, I invite you to give it a read. https://seedoflemon.pl/gamedev/ludum-dare-42-gamejam-post-mortem/
Anyway, thank you for giving me this opportunity to work on something different! I had a blast. I'll have to go and start browsing the game all of you made and start voting. I'll probably start once the submission day ends.
If you have any recommendations as to what I should play next, you can ping me on Twitter or here in comments.
Cheers!
Hello everyone! I fixed a bug in the game. Now you can't cheat and equip all abilities despite not having space for them! ...I'm sorry. Still, if you haven't played the game, you can check it out right here: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/42/dataphobia
Leave your game in the comments as well, I'll be happy to give it a play and a review!
Hey guys! Been idling and drawing some sprites to get better at doing the vector art, and I stumbled on a good question.
In what size are you guys exporting your sprites to the game? Are you exporting them in the size you want them from the get-go, or do you export higher resolution and then scale them down in the engine of choice?
Also, would still love hearing some more feedback from you guys when it comes to my game, could use some tips about where to go with my current art skills as to the direction I should be heading!

Also, feel free to link me some games of yours to review! Much love~ :heartbeat:
Frankly, I just learned that it's time for another LD Jam, but hey, it's okay. Probably going to abstain from making sprites and audio myself this time since I'll be running on limited time budget. It's still going to be fun :D
After actually submitting something on last LD I can't just allow myself to break the streak of 1 game after all, can I? :P
Planning on using different engine than I normally use too. Time to give Godot some serious try at this.
Good luck and let's have fun everybody!
