Hey guys. I tried Ludum Dare last time but couldn’t think of anything good for the theme, so hopefully I’ll be able to actually make something this time 😛

I’m using HaxeFlixel, FlashDevelop, Photoshop, SFXR and LMMS.

Well… I’ve made a start at least

Started a bit late since I’m in the UK and I didn’t want to stay up all night. Here’s a screenshot of what I have so far:

I know it looks like a crappy Asteroids clone right now, but there will be more to it, I promise!

P.S. I am doing the Two Button Controls theme :)

My progress to this point…

I got most of the main code in place yesterday so today will be focused mainly on graphics, sound, and content in general. I also got round to adding a little cutscene system (that hasn’t been aligned yet) in last night:

Getting There!

Alright, I’ve got some proper art in, particle effects, a radar system and Win and Loss states. It’s looking like a proper game now!

Now I need to work on polishing it up, tweaking the feel of the game, and perhaps adding extra content if I have time and motivation :p Good luck with the last 9 hours everyone!

Getting the Ball Rolling

Got some of the basic mechanics in the game. Graphics are terrible and there’s no shapeshifting so far, but it’s a start 😛

It’s hard to tell what is going on because the screenshot didn’t capture the mouse cursor, but it’s essentially going to be some kind of Tower-Defense / Resource-Managing game, involving a single resource that you have to transform in order to create different types of ‘tower’ etc.
