This is my first ludum dare and second game jam in general- I'm entering the jam as I have a team member working on music this time (and those yummy, extra 24 hours. Mmmm.) Got pretty much all of my basic code down for the systems needed for my point and click.... My sooper dooper music team member is working hard to get all that stuff done, and it sounds 100x better than my game thus far. Thus, I must make my game 100x better, logically. The art for a couple of the areas are done- hoping to have 6 little areas like this in total! Mind yourself, everyone, and get good sleep!!

Finished all my art today- Minus a title screen (saving the fun parts for tomorrow, basically, as well as the awful parts of testing and debugging over and over). Spent about 9 hours straight just... making art... then 2 hours straight putting it into the game and adding sound effects etc I'm learning the funny thing about point and clicks, is that because I'm testing so much, I really don't know if my game is genuinely 3 minutes long or if it's just because I've absolutely optimised where I click and I know the exact process to get to the end... Hopeeefully that's it... The "main feature" of the game, rather than having something like a complex inventory or combining items, is actually being able to jump between different rooms using text related to those rooms found on the objects around you. Not gonna lie, the room transitions look whacky. Here's one of the 6 'rooms' (tiny screens lol) to explore!

I'd say game jams are 50/50 for me in causing debilitating lack of self belief or "huh, I can make a lil something like this in 48 hours. Cool"

10TH FOR THEME! 10TH FOR THEME! 112 overall has me chuffed too!!! Also, 64th for audio has me SO HAPPY. I only started composing this year, y'all. Overall, a successful ludum dare, and more motivation to bring forward!
